    Green milk tea
    Brandon D.

After lunch I got some boba next door at chow tea. I didn't know what to get so I decided to be adventurous and tried the oolong milk tea with oolong boba. The oolong tea was fine but I wasn't a fan of the oolong boba at all. I recommended my friend the green milk tea since I liked it the last time I came and they enjoyed it as well though. I didn't have a good experience this time but I did have a good drink from them in the past

Good price and nice topping selection! I got the strawberry tea in 50% sugar and I wouldn't go up in sweetness, but it was really refreshing! I tried this on a whim due to being in the plaza and I would go again--[[HIGHLIGHT]]fast service and cute interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I came here after eating lunch in the plaza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cute logo drew me in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a Viet boba shop with both drinks and snacks. I got the tropical fruit tea ($6.95) at 50% sweet. It came with fruit on top and was ice cold (so refreshing). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is tiny and the drinks were all one size.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was a bit slow but there were only two workers there. I'd come back!

Decided to check out Chow Tea after dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute but small boba shop; probably not a good place for large gatherings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had small claw machines in the store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was good & quick. Got the Peach Tea w/ lemongrass & orange juice. It was sweet & refreshing, however my main gripe was that I requested light ice but it seemed more like regular ice. Watered down my fruit tea :( Also got the ube coffee to-go. The foam itself tasted good, but gets overpowered by the coffee. Not sure if Chow Tea can customize their coffee if a customer wants bac xiu instead of ca phe sua da. Would probably go back to try other options!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has hilarious illustrations of dogs (maybe a theme?) that I thought were AI generated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great bubble tea including the ube flavored one which I got. Excellent service as well and prompt preparation of the milk tea. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty cool and adorable decorations inside and a few tables but cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Check this place out bro!

The design of the dogs with boba were cute and what initially drew me to try the boba. The oolong milk tea had a good combination of tea and milk taste. The fried quail eggs were tasty and a good snack. They were a bit expensive though, $6 for 6 eggs. They have other snacks available for a similar price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop was small with limited seating, but they have WiFi available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was good.

I was looking around the Chinatown area for a particular dog. I could not find it at Pet's Mart, not at my local shelter, but one place, Chow Tea. I was on a curiosity trip and seen the business was recommended here on Yelp. What really caught attention is the sign. I was definitely a bit biased because I am dog owner and found the mascot, the Chow chow, very eye catching. But it just got even better, just like the chow chow is a very cozy type of dog, the shop is very cozy as well. But I liked it. It would be a nice more intimate setting versus bringing a group. It was my first time visiting so I had to ask for what the staff would say is their best drinks on the menu. They pointed to a toasted coconut milk tea and the oolong with a few additional ones. I went with both. I did try the toasted coconut milk tea and I liked it. I never thought it would be an addicting flavor but I couldn't stop drinking more of it. Overall I found the visit very enjoyable. I have had a list of a few places that have been "hidden gems" in my collection this year. Chow Tea has made my list. In a very busy and growing business plaza, I found it to fit that criteria: Small business, a few spots for seating, nice atmosphere and can be found for those that only search for its secrets haha. But in seriousness, quality drinks, a very nice chow chow mural, very nice spot to get away from the bright lights and crowds. Every dog has his day, Chow Tea definitely had it today

Stopped by this place cause something caught my eye. Talk about hole in the wall. This place is tucked in between two buisiness like a New York restaurant The tea itself was good. Not overly sweet and you can taste the tea versus just tasting sugar. The unique thing about this place was the CHEESE JELLY. I thought it was just gonna be a piece of cheese shaped jelly but it tasted like cheese and I dig it! Definitely will be back!

It would've been an easy 4 stars but I didn't feel like I got my moneys worth with the 3 drinks that I've purchased. 25 bucks for 3 drinks was not fulfilling at all. I ordered two with ice and one without it. I decided to get their tropical fruit tea, strawberry fruit tea & Jasmine milk tea. The tropical tea was refreshing but was overpowering with what I'm assuming was passion fruit. They also put so much ice & by the time I took 3 sips the cup was already half gone. They literally gave me like 70 percent ice. For the strawberry fruit tea, I decided to take the ice out & once I did that, the drink wasn't even half way. I'll say it was about 30 percent full. The drink itself was very good, I can taste all the tea flavor. I like that they topped it off with fresh fruits versus frozen. The jasmine milk tea was textbook made. Nice tea flavor that will have me up throughout the night. I am fine with paying extra for no ice and to fill it to the top but that's what you call nickel and dime. 1.50 just for you to top it off is ridiculous in my opinion and that'll lose some stars. There's so many boba shops that will gladly make your drink without ice and won't charge you extra just to fill it to the top. Overall, the drinks were good but my experience was just subpar. The inside is tidy & clean. The service was goodish. This place is set up where you order, get your drink & go. Not a big place with just a few tables. Will I come back? Yes I'll give them another go.

Delicious milk tea and fruit tea. The service is the best and everyone had a smile. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is small but makes the most delicious teas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend chow tea.

    Avocado Coconut
    Han L.

Highlight: Avocado Coconut Tastes pretty creamy and is equivalent to drinking coconut milk with a thicker avocado whip. On the sweeter side but I like how unique the drink is. Hospitality: Friendly staff. Honorable Mention: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute marketing and interior design![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only about 5 tables inside but they do have wifi.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Another boba pop up in Bellaire. A small shop nestled next to Crown Seafood and right off the busy street. They offered Vietnamese snacks (grab n go snacks are cash only) and a lot of classic drinks options. I opted to try drink flavors that are not typically offer elsewhere. I had the green milk tea with jelly cube and it was decent. My cousin got the toasted coconut milk tea which was pretty good. The staff were friendly and patience. Nice to have another boba shop along the strip for convenience.

I got the toasted coconut milk tea here, which was not too sweet and also not overly coconut-y! I don't think I would get it again, as I wasn't the biggest fan of the pairing with milk tea, but I would definitely come back to try other drinks that they have here, because they have a lot of interesting menu items. My friends tried the cheese jelly and cheese pudding in their drinks, which we found interesting, and tasted like a milder sweet cream. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was pretty small, but was very cute, and the workers were very sweet![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's located in a large shopping complex but that particular corner is concentrated with a bunch of other popular coffee shops and bakeries. It made parking in the general vicinity somewhat difficult. As expected on a weekend, the place was super busy. The inside is very cool and modern looking. I can't speak on the customer service because of an ordering kiosk and minimal interaction with the staff. It's cool and all, but since it was my first time, it would have been nice to ask questions. What this place is known for is phin coffee which is a type of drip coffee that gives you a much higher concentrated brew. They have all sorts of flavors for that but they also have a lighter version called white coffee. I wanted something lighter so I went with the Banana Cream White Coffee. It came out pretty quick and I was on my way in no time. Upon first sip after getting in my car, I almost turned around to get another coffee because the drink was so delicious and I had only went with a small size. This drink was amazing. Yes it was the "lighter" version, but I could still taste the coffee. The banana cream topping was a first for me but who knew banana and coffee combined could be such a delicious flavor. I took my time and savored this drink. If you like matcha, they also have quite a few options for that. They also have teas and espressos. There was a display of different cookies that I later found out was a big seller. Prices are a little high and the lack of human interaction to order was my only complaint. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable cup of coffee. I think I'll even go as far as saying it is one of the better cups of coffee I've had in Houston. I will most definitely be back!

I tried the Biscoff Tiramisu-- while they could work on their presentation (the filling looked messy and slapped on), the taste was quite nice! Sweet, creamy, and the mascarpone filling was light and not too heavy despite being sweet and indulgent. I'm excited to try the other tiramisu varieties :D I like how the tiramisu comes in its own container instead of scooped into a takeout box because it's a lot less messy + prettier when eating it. Service was really friendly and there is self-serve water available too. Lots of tables for two but they were all taken during my visit. There's a little table outside in the shade if you're willing to sit in the heat. Overall, 4.5 stars for the tiramisu-- will be back to try some more! Would LOVE to take my cousins here one day…read more Environment/Atmosphere - Super crowded when we got here, but the lines moved fast, and there was a kiosk to self-order if you didn't want to wait in line for the cashier. One of my favorite things was how fragrant the space smelled while I waited for my boba. You could tell there was an exceptional tea aroma lingering despite all the cream and sweetness. The place was exceptionally clean for being so busy, and the workers consistently cleaned as they made the drinks, so you knew you could trust the sanitation here. Drink Design - I have to make a separate comment on how CUTE these drinks were. I loved the intentional sticker placement over the lips and the little carrying handle. You could tell they went the extra mile to make these drinks not just flavorful, but an experience in and of themselves. Even their receipt paper felt luxurious. That sounds ridiculous to point out, but the thought behind every aspect of this place is impeccable. High Mountain Pouchong Tea w. Lemon Juice & Mousse (Creamy Lemon Tart) - After all the sugar I had today, this lemony drink hit the spot with its perfect tartness. The cream had bits of lemon zest in it, adding to the aroma. I tried to adjust the sweetness when I ordered and was told it had a built-in sweetness, but if I found it too sweet, they would happily switch it out for another drink. I felt like I was dealing with Amazon's generous return policy--and luckily, the drink was perfect, so no return was needed! Creamy Mango Tart - Literally like the Lemon Tart, but mango. I loved this just as much and really enjoyed the refreshing flavors of BOTH tarts. Instantly a fan favorite. Dong Ding Oolong Tea w. Fresh Milk - Very mild and creamy, almost like a mellow latte. Not my favorite because it was a bit too creamy after everything else I had today. Still, I loved the tea profile and can absolutely see why others would love it. Overall, I love, love, LOVE this place. 1000/10. From the experience to the quality and intentionality behind every little detail, I couldn't be happier with my visit. I never thought I'd ever say that a drink was so Instagram-worthy, but these drinks were beautiful--like models of the boba world. Would go back in a heartbeat.
