Waking up to a fresh snowfall is always a gift--made even better after an exceptional New Year's Eve at The Waterfront NJ Restaurant in Lacey, NJ. This year marked our 35th consecutive celebration with our best friends the Fays, a tradition that grows richer every time we gather. The ballroom was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the band "Slap Happy" delivered an outstanding performance. With the drinks flowing, at one point, we even found ourselves at the microphone, adding our own spirited contribution to the night. While our table was a bit close to the stage--and the volume certainly matched the energy--the music, dancing, and drinks created a vibrant, festive atmosphere. Angolina, our server, was outstanding, helping to elevate the evening from the moment we arrived. Warm, attentive, and effortlessly efficient, she kept the celebration flowing. We began with our first round of drinks, and I made sure to savor my final dirty martini of the year. After three rounds and plenty of laughter, Angolina returned to take our dinner selections. Jeanne Marshall Schrader chose the jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab, finished with a luxurious lobster‑sherry cream, and served with rice and vegetables -- $35. I opted for the Zuppa D'Pesce: a beautifully prepared combination of jumbo shrimp, sea scallops, crab meat, little neck clams, and mussels in a spicy marinara over linguini -- $42. Carolyn Fay and Bob both selected the GF filet -- an 8oz center-cut topped with compound butter, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and a side of demi‑glaze -- $42. It was a flawless New Year's Eve--excellent food, exceptional service, lively entertainment, and the best company to welcome another year together.

He was friendly, super knowledgable in regards to the menu, specials, etc and catered to modifications and when a couple of girlfriends and I split entrees. A nice added bonus that it is BYOB. 10/10. If you can get a reservation here, book it!

I think the best title for this review should be an Expensive Hypertensive Crisis. Let me start…read morethis review by saying I have been a resident of Long Beach Island for many years. I have been to Parker's Garage a few times in the past. I have always found the restaurant to be overpriced and their food over salted. The only reason I agreed to go this last time was at a request by a friend. I figured I would give them one more shot. Boy, was that the wrong decision? To start with we all struggled to find something on the menu to suit our taste. Additionally, everything was quite overpriced for what you get. The crabcake dinner is the most expensive on the island that I have seen at $66. Their fish selections were reasonably priced until you discover that they are rather small and à la carte. I ended up ordering the chopped cabbage salad, which didn't seem to have much chopped cabbage in it and was mostly Peanuts and a crunchy material that seem like Funions. it was also super salty and generally un edible. For my main meal, I ordered the monk fish. this was unlike any month fish I have ever had before. It seemed to have a very adherent skin on it that was rubbery and difficult to remove from the Meat. It also was incredibly salty. Lastly, we ordered the brussels sprouts again, they were the most salty thing I have ever had and we're basically inedible. I unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially if you have high blood pressure
