We looked up burger spots in Nashville, and we really just wanted a solid burger with no frills. The internet led us here, and it did not disappoint. We got diner style food vibes from the menu, and the food was exactly what I was looking for! I got the single cheeseburger, fries and a shake, because how can you turn down a shake with a burger? I went with a single, but their patties are smashburger style, so could be a little thin for some people. The comeback sauce was exactly that, and made me want more and perhaps a bottle to take back home with us. The fries looked to be fresh cut and they were on the thinner size, which is my favorite. I pretty much demolished those in record time. The shake was thick and don't like the size of the cup fool you! The small was plenty of shake for the meal. I really wish we had one of these back home because I would love to have this burger on a regular basis.

If you're looking for a good Smash-style burger or a Memphis style pork sandwich, this Nashville born restaurant is a good place to go. They use a custom blend of meat for the burgers and grind it fresh daily. They smoke their Pork, Turkey and Bologna for up to 18 hours over Hickory coals. They offer Burgers, Veggie Burger, Pulled Pork, Turkey Club, Bologna, Chicken Sandwich, Hot Dogs, Fries, Chili Fries, Handspun Milkshakes and Fresh squeezed Lemonade. My personal favorites are the Double Burger And The Pulled Pork sandwich that absolutely melts in your mouth. There is plenty of free parking at this location and they have a few outdoor picnic tables. You order at the counter and they give you a number then call your number when your food is ready and the food usually comes out quickly. They have an open style kitchen with bar seating right by the grill. Lastly-- Friday's ONLY --- You can get the " World Famous" Slugburger. It's a Depression Era stlye they used to make in the South back in the Great Depression days. It's interesting to say the least. It's deep fried ground Pork and Soy Meal with Pickles, chopped Onions and Yellow Mustard. It's worth a try if you're looking for something a little different and the History of it makes it kinda cool.

Realized I haven't review this spot that my bf & I frequent when wanting a solid burger at a reasonable price. He's an LA boy and finds this comparable to In-N-Out. We have tried the classic & the bbq and love both. Their patties are a thin smashburger style, I tend to go with the classic because I enjoy their comeback sauce. I can't go without getting fries (seasoned perfectly) & a coke! Service is always friendly & speedy. The ambiance is a throwback diner style with seating upfront near the kitchen on swivel chairs (great for solo dining) or tables for four throughout. There are some outdoor picnic tables for those who want to eat outside. Parking is a bit congested as it's in a shared plaza off Thompson Lane, but I never have an issue getting a spot. Rec - Get extra comeback sauce for dipping the fries!

Freaking bomb. Better than Shake Shack, better than In-n-out... I'm not sure if these classify as smash burgers but they do have that texture in the bun which is incredibly soft and warm and in the beef patty which is flat and super juicy and flavor-packed. And the fries are perfect too, they're thin, crispy but kinda limp at the same time which is a hell yes for me, and well-seasoned. SO FREAKING YUM. I'm coming back to try a hot dog, absolutely

Solid burger place with well-seasoned fries. The strawberry milkshake had a sort of artificial taste to it. I would compare their burgers to Five Guys on taste. This place feels a bit retro and I enjoy the fun branding! Overall I would definitely come back for the fries and maybe try a different burger.

I love Hugh baby's so much! Their veggie burger burger cures my burger fix & it's not even meat (: The service is always quick with a friendly bright atmosphere. I eat hugh baby's at least once a week! Don't forget the extra lettuce and comeback sauce on the side.

This was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Perfectly delicious. And the fries were banging too.

We've been to The Finch three times now--twice sitting at the bar and once at a table. We…read moredefinitely prefer the bar, but I think that's just because we're bar people! The bar has two hidden TVs that you can only see when you sit at the bar, which is such a cool touch. It keeps the space feeling upscale without sacrificing the ability to catch a game. The overall ambiance is great, and the music is always at the perfect volume for an easy conversation. The drinks have been consistently excellent. We've tried both cocktails and wine, and everything has been delicious. The wine is a little overpriced in our opinion, but it was so good that I'm glad we still ordered it! On our most recent visit, we started with the burrata. It was very good, but I do wish there had been more sauce and more cantaloupe. The sauce felt more like an accent than something that really tied the dish together. That said, the perfect bite was definitely the burrata with the prosciutto and cantaloupe! For our entrees, Jonathan ordered the pork chop, and I had the piri piri chicken. Both came with broccolini and patatas bravas. I was expecting traditional Spanish-style patatas bravas, so when whole baby potatoes showed up, I was initially a little disappointed. Don't let that fool you, though--these potatoes were incredible!!! Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and packed with flavor! They ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal! My piri piri chicken was fantastic! The portion was much larger than I expected, and the piri piri sauce served on the side was absolutely lick-the-plate good. I found myself dipping the potatoes and broccolini in it because it was just that delicious. Piri piri isn't something you come across often in Nashville, and The Finch absolutely nails it--and at a really reasonable price. Jonathan's pork chop was cooked perfectly with great flavor. It wasn't an over-the-top, show-stopping dish, but for around $30--including both sides--at a more upscale restaurant, it's hard to beat the value. One more recommendation: get the volcano rock shrimp. We had it on a previous visit, and we still talk about it! It's easily one of our favorite dishes we've had here. The Finch has been consistently good every time we've visited, and that's what keeps bringing us back! Great food, great drinks, a fun atmosphere, and solid value for the quality. We'll definitely be back again!

Visited Finch while exploring The Gulch neighborhood. I didn't have a reservation, but I was able…read moreto get seated right away, which was nice. I really liked the decor, the space was very pretty and had a great atmosphere. I ordered the blackened redfish. It felt very heavily seasoned , almost like the seasoning was the main flavor, and I couldn't really taste anything else. The seasoning was delicious, but I would have liked to experience more of the actual dish and ingredients. The sauce was good, and the mashed potatoes underneath were a nice touch. Service was okay, although I would have appreciated being checked on a little more often. I also asked for a cup of sparkling water but received and was charged for a large bottle, even though I was dining alone.
