I came to Dad's Cigars for the first time with some buddies, and I can confidently say it will not be my last. When you walk in, you're greeted with a great selection of cigars, lighters, and accessories. Then you step into the walk-in humidor, and it's cigars everywhere, plenty to choose from. We grabbed a few sticks, paid, and headed into the back lounge. Leather sofas, tables, TVs, and a bar area it's the perfect setup. We had some whiskey and beers, shared a couple of cigars, and just kicked back talking and laughing. For what we paid vs the time we had and the quality of the sticks we were pleased. Next thing you know, a few hours had passed and it felt like we had just walked in. That kind of place. The vibe and ambiance are on point, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. 5/5 stars. read more

I think Dad's is an amazing place, with a great selection and equally great atmosphere for a relaxing cigar, great conversation with friends and/or business associates. I always appreciate suggestions made by Sanju and Joe. Ironically enough, I was there the same afternoon one of the other reviewers was speaking about and Joe actually did ask the young looking man for ID and only after carefully inspecting it, did he serve drinks. So nice! I started smoking cigar's a few months ago since my father passed away! I was not gonna do alcohol drugs cigarettes to deal with it but felt I need something so I chose cigars like my grandpa did. I walked in and this shop is luxurious. The smell is incredible. The lady working there- I think the owner walked me into the room with cigars and recommended a mild one for the 1 st time . She asked if I'd like to go into the smoke room . I learned real quick that cigars are male dominated nonetheless I received no judgement at all. The staff and people who shop here are super calm and friendly. The accessories here are numerous ranging from low end to extreme luxury. So so much to choose from wow . By now they know me and sorta know what I like . I bought the cigar cutter and lighter for about 30 . I even binged on a Davidoff cigar. The smoke room has large screens and comfortable couches and chairs. This shop is right next to Starbucks , Barnes and a huge Organic shop so it's really convenient if you're into that. Highly recommended! Went by the other day, sign outside says only pick up to call the store. Upon calling the store I was told that there was a $30 minimum to get any cigars . Now you either are open or closed, with a self imposed limit on purchases you store should be cited for price gouging. Never will I go back to this store . Wonderful place for me to relax in the evening. Has every cigar imaginable. Prices are on the high side but you cannot beat the crowd(have many new friends from this establishment). Selection is very good, prices are very high even by NY standards. The buyer should be aware and watch out for there business practices. I bought 10 cigars, and you get one for free. The sign says the average cigar is free. Well the average price of the cigars should have given me a more expensive cigar then the one I was given for free. The price difference was over $6.00. Pakistani??? woman was extremely rude to a young couple on their (apparently) first visit. I can tolerate rudeness because I give as I'm given. But these people were taken aback. I did intervene but the young fellow, although appreciative, wouldn't have it. So I shut my mouth (no small feat.) It would seem the regulars are well taken care of. Been going for years. They have attracted a good group that consistently gathers in their back room. It's a great place to watch the games. their cigar selection is vast and across the board for all levels. The guys that work there are welcoming and knowledgeable. I have met new friends there and really enjoy hanging out there to watch the games. The only suggestion I have is to a hire a cocktail waiter/waitress that will be there consistently Friday & Saturday (6pm - closing) and Sunday (1pm - closing). My business background tells me this will undoubtedly bring in substantially more revenue. Regardless, the waiter/waitress needs to be there during this busy period and not leave it to the front end guys to do double duty. read more

Store looks new and renovated. ...lounge has comfy leather sofas ...one seaters on one side and two seaters on the other side. ...all with huge tvs right infront of your face. Also has bathrooms right in the lounge. Two things to fix and I'll give it 5 stars next time. Can smell bathroom fragrance in the seating area. I make it a point to go to every cigar shop/ lounge that I can possibly go to. And I can say with full confidence this place SUCKS. As soon as I walked in I didn't get a hello or welcome from the old curmudgeon lady behind the desk. I was completely ignored . But as soon as a regular came up to her and ask her a question she was at least a little nicer to him. I asked how much a standing ash tray was on the floor she ignored me. So I asked again. she said "sir the price is on it". I looked and there was a price tag that read $3. I said "there's a price tag for three dollars". She said "you know that couldn't be the price" in a rude fuck you Tone. I suggest never ever ever ever ever ever step foot in this shit hole. The worst service I've ever gotten in any store never mind a cigar shop. Oh, and everything way over priced. Go somewhere else. Places like this don't deserve to have the doors open. Cigar King is probably the last place I would ever buy a premium cigar. Their cigars are in awful shape. Their humidors are either too dry or too humid and you can clearly see holes in their cigars caused by cigar beetles. In fact, I have actually seen a few beetles myself. They don't even have hygrometers in their humidors so they clearly don't care about the humidity levels. Couple that with the fact that their cigars are wildly over priced, more expensive than most cigar shops in NYC who have more than triple the overhead, it makes no sense to buy cigars from them. I would attribute this neglect to the fact that the owners and their employees don't smoke cigars themselves because if they did, they would realize that their humidors are a huge problem. They have a decent cigar lounge with a bar but they are very often are out of stock of popular liquor which pairs well with cigars (bourbon & scotch). The other issue with the cigar lounge is that you have to literally track down the employees in order to get service. They recently created a new policy that you are only allowed to use their cigar lounge if you buy a cigar from them, but given the condition of their cigars, it makes no sense to pay top dollar for a premium cigar which has been treated no better than a Dutch Master. The overall attitude of management is not of customer service and it seems like they feel that they are doing their customers a favor by opening their doors every day. It's a shame because if run by a smart business person, they could actually have a great place. I suspect that given their new rules, they will lose their regular customers very soon. I for one, will be looking for a new place to smoke my cigars immediately. read more

They sell ecig stuff. It's halo brand overpriced but if your stuck waiting on a internet order it's better then nothing. I picked up a 30ml bottle of Tribeca for $25. Pricey but I didn't have to pay for shipping. They also carry 10ml sized bottles and what I think was some Chinese liquid. They also carry halo ego kits, batteries and clearos. There are cheaper options out there but if all your stuff breaks at least there is a local option. 4 Stars for selling ecig stuff would be 5 but it's pricey read more

i came here today and this guy helped me and my brother look for different hookahs since i am new to this he was very nice at first and i loved the customer service. We ended up buying a hookah,coal and flavor. we went straight home and when we opened the box there was a piece broken. We went back instantly in the same day and they had the nerve to say we broke it. First off we went there and then home nothing happened so the guy saying we dropped it was super irritating because if we did drop it not just that piece would be broken it would of all been broken. They were so rude the guy on the register kept saying things behind his breathe and giving major attitude i will never come back here again and make sure i tell everyone. A long-standing establishment in the area, they have recently redeveloped and built an extension within their building creating a luxurious Cigar Lounge and Bar in the back of the shop. With a capacity of Rock roughly 50 people, you'll find it very comfortable setting for a casual night out with a wide selection of cigar options paired well with they're scotch, bourbon and beer selection... and even a coffee from next door if you prefer. Narrow in its design, you'll find couches to the left and right of you against the wall with TVs scattered throughout, broadcasting whatever event you would like to watch and at the far back end a wall of lockers for those who want to bring a hefty amount of cigars for when they're entertaining friends and guest. Definitely the place to go to have a casual night out, or a stop off during a bachelor party, or just want a peaceful night away from the kids. I'll certainly find myself here again soon! read more
