Rented a pontoon boat. BAIT & SWITCH! The reservation system says 50-70 hp engine. Attached. They gave me a 9.9 evinrude. I expressed my disappointment to which Christian, he owners son, said this is all we have. It took me 45 minutes to get to the Stone Harbor bridge. The tiny motor could barely push the boat against the outgoing tide. And that was with only two passengers not the full capacity of 10. At full speed, it made no wake. Upon arriving at my dock, I called and said this isn't right. This motor is way under powered for this boat. The only option offered was to return the boat. But I had a number of friends and family already lined up for a ride. Not going back to Dads. Beware of false advertising. read more

Dad's place marina is TOP NOTCH! We're expecting a baby, and our gender reveal was this past weekend with hopes of a advertising plane flying over the beach. Long story short, the plane cancelled and I spent hours calling boats all over the island in hopes someone will drive by our beach with a banner, or smoke cannons. Dads place was the only place willing to accommodate our request. The day of the reveal, they even had their works wearing pink/blue for the baby! We ended up having the opportunity to utilize the plane, but we are SO THANKFUL dads place was willing, and so into fulfilling our special day! read more

The boats were not in good working order. rancid meat and mold left in the built in cooler, shotty engine, and broken railings and doors on the boat. will never go back. for the price, go somewhere else. The pontoon boat we rented was a piece of shit and hardly ran had to bring it back and things were broken and they are trying to charge us for things that there employees told us were broke before we left! And while we are trying to argue they are threating to call the cops on us ! Don't ever go to this place they are rude and ignorant! Stay away! I kept my boat here for about 2 years now. No matter what time of day or what day of the week it is they are always willing to help or fix whatever I need. Before owning a boat, I've rented multiple times. Rental boats are normal average "boat rental boats". Had a good time with family. DO NOT GO HERE. they tried to charge us for "damage" that we didnt even do, when we said we weren't paying they threatened to call the cops. The boat ran horribly and when we brought it back 10 minutes after we left they told us there was nothing they could do and sent us back out in a half broken down boat. The staff is RUDE and IGNORANT. Also an employee had a hole in his bathing suit and I had to watch his private parts fall out right in my face when he kicked the boat away from the dock and when I said something to the lady working there all she had to say was "nice language for a lady" and that "I probably liked it." 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Excellent service. Great experience. Friendly and accommodating staff. We had a great time - we ended up getting stuck on a sandbar during the tide change and was rescued by a young gentleman who could have been angry with us but acknowledged it happens and did everything he could to get us back to shore. I highly recommend this establishment. If you are going to fish and crab I would advise bringing whatever you can because you will need to purchase crab nets as they do not rent them. Poles are available for rent and bait is available to purchase. Bring a knife for the bait ! Make sure you bring your own bucket as well. read more

The boat worked and ran slowly but that was the only good thing about it.... everything on the boat was cut up, torn, broken and moldy. We rented the crabbing pontoon and the built in cooler had rotten moldy meat that was covered in bugs in it and it stunk up the whole boat. All of the electronics did NOT work and it is not safe. 2 of the 3 doors were also broken and did not close properly and opened freely. Very disappointed for the price I payed. read more

Went fishing and crabbing here today with my family. Nice little spot to go, which has a nice pier to fish off. The fee for using the pier is 2.50 or 3.50 a person I believe. You can rent rods there which we did, and we also bought a crab trap which was only $10. We also bought our bait there. It was nice that it wasn't crowded. I would recommend this place to friends and family!! I will be back, gentlemen in the store was very friendly and helpful. read more

Called today at 424pm, was quoted $225 to rent a large Pontoon Boat. Guy says ill call u back in a minute to reserve were getting busy... calls me back 1 hour later and Raises the Price $50-$75 more for a smaller Pontoon n says someone just booked it.... This place is fucking horrible! My friends and I are down here for the summer and wanted to rent out a pontoon boat for 10 people. Mind you we're only 18 but no one where does it specify you have to be 21. We know of 18 year olds who rented just last week.
