Especially when you come across awesome stores filled with unique goodies, like this one. In addition to their air plants, I really liked the coasters they had for sale. Ventilation is much better here compared to the warehouse from before, and they've taken care to add some fun murals throughout the store. It's possible they put the popcorn machine away for the event, but I'm hopeful the next time it'll be back by the entrance; it's a staple! My main critique with the former space was that much of the costume jewelry and trinkets were behind glass. Part of the fun of antiquing for me is being able to touch, feel, and engage with historical pieces - it seems like the new setting has solved for this. I found a fantastic tapestry finger purse from JR Miami 1950s-1960s for $20 (one of the ladies who works there told me she nearly bought it that morning) and a sweet $3 footed teacup I'll upcycle for my plant collection, I recognized some of the booths, so I'm glad they were able to move with LB Antiques. If your dog is well-behaved, they are also super dog-friendly here and your pooch will have a field day sniffing all the textiles and curios. My only remaining gripe - and it was a gripe when the space was still Joann's - is the parking can be gnarly getting into! It's one of the most unique antique malls I've ever been to. According to the owner, it used to be a rainforest educational center for kids that was founded and run by disney employee, and became a antique mall almost 30 years ago. So, that's where the waterfalls and lake come from! You will find a lot of unique treasures here too. I only picked up a couple of small things, but I'm very picky...and running low on space haha! Plus, a friendly cat named Luna works here, what more could you ask for! Definitely a must to stop at if you are in or near Hawaiian Gardens!

I've driven and walked by a few times but it was always closed. Today I made a point to stop by during business hours and I'm so glad I did. It's packed full of treasure from what I assume were antique auctions or estate sales and the like. It's bustling with gorgeous furniture, eclectic art from all eras, various glassware and other housewares and some things that even took me by surprise such as an old fur coat and vintage costume jewelry. The owner, Arlene, was a delight and I told her I will be back to buy a painting I just can't stop thinking about.

There is also beer and water for purchase inside and outside the market are more food vendors with everything from fresh juice, fruit, how food and more. The staff is always friendly and helpful. You pay $10 to get in and can hang out as long as you like. I believe it's around 800 vendors. Home good, cameras, clothes, plants, paintings and so much more.... worth the trip at least once. Oh and bring an umbrella, big brimming hat and plenty of sunscreen.

Acai bowls, juices. Table sold beers. I was expecting more. I'm wondering if this is considered typical, as it seems more respectful for more serious sellers or buyers? To combat my dehydration and sleepiness, I went for a plain coffee and a Diet Coke. I don't recommend eating here go find a better restaurant in long beach and eat before/ after! Bathrooms: They installed portable AC! The toilets next to the food trucks were clean and cooling inside. The Shopping: 4/5 Flea markets will continue to be a unique experience for me because it's visually overwhelming to mentally process and sort through everything you're seeing! They have artwork, jewelry, an overwhelming amount of trinkets, clothing (mostly vintage and band fashion), electronics (one store was entirely cameras), decor, handbags, kitchenware, comic book items, and more. The clothing, handbags, and other wearable items can be used, new, or handmade by the vendor. I think it caters to the whole family though it's more like demographics are mid age women, then women, then children, then men (from my untrained eye). It's a confusing place if you don't already have a strong grasp of your personal style and preferences. You'll likely spend a lot of time just trying to understand what everything is. I looked at alot of clothes but nothing spoke to me. It sounds obvious but you should bring a hat and/ or sunglasses, and your water bottle. I didn't do either... I rolled out of bed and went with my friend here.
