This is one of the most charming stores I have been to for awhile. It is definitely nature bound and great for people like me who is about promoting local artists. It is very much like an arts and craftsman store. The store had everything from home furnishing to gadgets and gizmos a plenty... Heehee... yes, that was a Little Mermaid reference. They have trinkets. I left the shop purchasing air plants, sea shells, and meditation bead bracelets. I love rocks and minerals, so of course I gravitated towards the stones they had on display and bought a handful of bracelets, which were designed my local OC artists. The store associate was really sweet and personable. She was knowledgeable about the products and because of her and what the store has, I will for sue go back. Again, the interior of the shop has great vibes. Love it! Parking wise, it is super easy. You want to park at the far end, which is not the main end. You will need to get your parking ticket validated. read more

We bought a few succulents here after enjoying brunch overlooking the beach a few doors down. Walking around this open air mall is so much fun! Especially when you come across awesome stores filled with unique goodies, like this one. In addition to their air plants, I really liked the coasters they had for sale. I wish I saw more of these when vacationing places. We go all over and usually only come home with a shot glass when we travel somewhere new. Coasters are a much cooler idea! read more

Family owned business, the cashier was saying (this was shortly after they opened) the furniture designer could do anything. Yes on commissions. Great says I, I have a project I would love you guys to build for me. Got the names and e-mails of the (dis) interested parties, and sent off an inquiry. What happened next? Nada. Nothing. Crickets. Fine, if this isn't your thing, a simple note to that effect would be ok. These guys could not be bothered. So when I was in recently I complained about the lack of response, and mom was full of excuses. Daughter just had a baby, we never got the e-mail, my son didn't actually get it... really? You're going to use a "check-is-in-the-mail" canned response? Can't manage a more convincing lie? Gotta say, I am damn tired of people passing off rude, unacceptable customer service behavior as "business as usual". Looks like (from the few low-star reviews) mom is a bit of a case anyway. Works for me; I will never go back here. read more

This store is very unique. They are in the same mall, but the location of their suite changed. The new spot is bigger and I think they did a great job making everything in easy view for you. The only down side is that the store is so pricey. There are some things you will love...just not enough to pay the marked price. They have many pieces that they don't keep in the store...so if you're looking for something specific, talk with them! There's a unique but pricey lamp we have our eyes on...may have to give in one of these days!! The store is located in the Pacific City Shopping Center with ample parking available (don't forget to validate!). Definitely not a customer oriented store. The older woman was walking around us making sure we were putting things back. At one point, she even grabbed the jelly shark that was already out of a bag and asked us to put it back in the bag because it would get dirty by touching it. When we were about to pay for the books we found, she asked the other associate to ring us up despite her being behind the cash register. This would've been overlooked, had the lady at least welcomed us to the store and offered to help us find anything. Recommend going here but the older woman should not be running a store read more

Such a cute business! If you're looking for something rustic or wanting to add a little bit more character to your home or display piece, I think you'd find it at H&H. There's small furniture pieces you can likely purchase, though I had my eye on smaller things. There were a few crates here, a good number of typewriters that I wanted to take home, and everything being unique and different. I really liked the older bowling balls that they had! There were also a few modern books that had an aged appeal to them, so that was cool. Staff was very nice. Prices are a little high, so I couldn't get very much, but it was cute to see what they had and the different ideas for decorating they thought of. Clean, cute shop! read more

I love this store! I popped in here due to the really cool lightbulbs that they have (I've been watching a lot of HGTV and was inspired) and I ended up leaving with a couple of cool things. They were having 20% off of jewelry for Mother's Day, awesome! I found an adorable sterling silver heart necklace for my mumsie. The lady working in the store was incredibly nice and helpful. Apparently they make custom furniture too! Then I found a glass milk bottle from the 1960's that had a little Santa Claus on it and I had to get it for my chub hub. I left about $40 bucks poorer but it was worth it. I really liked the style of the store and loved the inventory. Can I actually get something for myself the next time I come here? read more

Stumbled upon this beautiful place as we were checking out the new shopping center. Found a really cool shelf (but we were looking to get it in a different color) so we headed to their warehouse to pick it up. There we met Joe, one of the nicest most genuine people you will ever met. Took time out of his busy day to chat with my hubs about a shelving unit for our dining room. Note: we have been looking for over 3 years, but refuse to pay 6k at HD buttercup. Not only did Joe custom build the shelf of my hubs dreams, but at a fraction of the price!!!! Forget restoration hardware, hd buttercup or all of those places- come here and chat with Joe and you will not be disappointed. Really horrible experience here. Jewelry is terrible quality and owner (Terese) is extremely rude. Had 2 rings where the rock popped off without being worn more than a few days the first time and a few minutes the second. She called us ridiculous for bringing it to her attention, said it was obviously our fault, and refused to speak with us further. I really want to support small businesses, but with such poor customer service and obviously sub par quality, it makes it really difficult. Literally will never set foot in that store again. Have heard from so many people with similarly poor experiences with this store. Buyer beware! read more

Two stars because of the interesting merchandise and the sweet sales associate. However, beware that "all sales are final". Poor business practice in my opinion. I bought a $4.00 item and 10 minutes later discovered it was defective. So, I took it right back into the store and the clerk could not return my $4.00 because she had to get ahold of the manager which she was unable to do. Really? For a mere $4.00 she did not have the permission to process the return? The next day the charge was subtracted from my credit card. Beware! read more

Bad quality jewelry and TERRIBLE customer service. I purchased a black onyx ring from here a while ago and the "onyx stone" (which was actually plastic) popped out the first day I wore it. When I took it back to the store, they eventually replaced it with another "onyx" ring which also popped out when I tried it on inside my house for less than 5 minutes. I took it back to the store sure they would be able to help me if they are selling expensive rings that are this bad of quality. Instead, the manager (Terese) yelled at me through the phone, insisting that this has never happened to any other customer and that I stop speaking with her immediately. (This is funny because I am now seeing an earlier yelp review about a very similar broken ring situation.) I have never been spoken to so rudely/disrespectfully by a store manager, let alone another human being. And although I usually try to support small businesses, I am incredibly disappointed with the quality of this store's products and their customer service. Very bummed that I wasted a lot of money AND had to get yelled at by someone representing the store. Definitely will not return. read more

I went to this store and fell in love. I ended up buying a "sterling silver and onyx" ring for $60. I wore my new ring the next day only for the stone to pop out. Come to find it wasn't a stone after all but a piece of black plastic!!! I paid $60 for a plastic ring. We were referred to Heirlooms & Hardware by a friend because we were remodeling our house and needed some new furniture. We met with Joe and we designed a bed frame, barn door, table, and benches to go with a table that he already had made. On delivery he measured our fireplace and make us a mantle. Joe is so talented! I just had the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! My boyfriend bought me a $14 bracelet @ The Plantation a few doors down for Christmas. I just went in there to exchange it and was going to get a $100+ necklace I had seen before Christmas. The sales girl told me all jewelry is final sale. I said well can you call the owner or manager and tell her I want to buy something more expensive. The owner or manager, whom ever she spoke with said no. What a shame! I will NEVER be shopping in there again. After leaving there I went to Heirlooms and Hardware, bought some beautiful, new jewelry and told them my about my horrible experience. Upon check out, they felt so bad, they gave me a free oil defuser for my bad experience at another store! Glad someone else benefited from my money not them. That was completely unexpected and I'm so grateful they turned my bad experience into a good one! Bravo!!! read more

So I have actually never bought anything in here, BUT the lady that works there is kind of a... Bad person. We weren't even in her store, we were hanging out in the open table area in the middle of the lab. The lady came out and tried to kick us out, but we weren't even in the store. She started taking pictures of my friend, accusing her of being there too long and saying she would show the pictures to management. She also tried to make us believe that the parking was timed, so that we would leave. When we told her it wasn't she started blabbing about how management would implement that soon and that we need to leave so other people can park and shop in her store because not enough people shop in there. Out of curiosity, I went into the store and realized something... People refrain from shopping there not because there isn't a parking rotation, but because her merchandise is extremely expensive and not at all useful unless you're into fake antiques and overpriced items that you can get at a swap meet. read more

This shop is amazing. Be sure to visit both sites, The Lab and Pacific City because each store has rare finds. This is a custom furniture store that uses reclaimed wood. The quality, craftsmanship and artistry is not to be surpassed. The pieces are built to last and look incredible. I have had a few items made. So cool to be able to customize to fit any room. I had a certain issue that I could not figure out a solution to until I met Terese. She was able to work with me to find a solution. I love what she came up with and I was able to visit the warehouse to choose the wood for my table! I now have purchased another table, a manzanita tree and jewelry and throws and much, much more! The buyer for these shops knows the current trends and so the store is packed with great things. The custom furniture is so well priced, I am sorry I did not know about this store before I purchased from other places. The heirlooms are really great too.
