Dahlia is the cutest coffee shop, and I'm so glad I discovered it! They have an array of specialty coffee and matcha drinks, as well as a seasonal menu (my current favorite coffee drink is the Sol Cold Brew which has orange and vanilla notes and is SO balanced, light, creamy & tasty!). I've been eyeing some of the items on their matcha menu for a while but I like the Sol Cold Brew so much I can't bring myself to come and not order it! They also have empanadas and a few other pastries that are a great snack to have with your coffee. Service is generally very quick and even though I usually take my coffee to go, there are a few tables, as well as stools along a countertop that you can sit at to enjoy your coffee. Parking is fairly easy (free street parking) as the street the cafe is located on is not busy. Overall, Dahlia is one of my favorite cafes in Cleveland and I am always looking for the next excuse to come to the Lakewood area so I can come back to Dahlia's :) read more

I'm so upset I haven't been here sooner! The drink was soooo delicious. Before I was able to snap a picture the chicken empanada was gone and so was the guava roll. I HIGHLY suggest trying both. The empanada was still steaming when I got it. It was so busy and felt a little cramped when I went, but I wasn't bothered by it. The workers were very nice. I can't wait to go back. Dahlia Coffee is a cute little coffee shop on the near west side of Cleveland. It is a little of the beaten path but so worth a visit. We were there twice this weekend. Wow! I had heard so many wonderful things about this place from social media and Yelp. I was excited to finally try it out. I had egg nog mazapan latte and LOVED it. The speciality menu had a lot of really yummy and interesting drink choices. I'm a regular here but I'm realizing I haven't left a review. Here to correct that and say that this is an amazing addition to this part of the neighborhood. If you haven't stopped in yet, grab a street spot and walk in to order a Mexican-inspired coffee drink and/or Latin treats like guava and cheese rolls, empanadas, and alfajores. The staff make you feel at home and the tables indoors and a few tables outdoors give you space to eat and chat. Fun Fact: The DAHLIA flower is the National flower of Mexico. I'm a tea drinker and not a coffee drinker so I'm glad that Dahlia Coffee has tea options. I first visited on Wednesday, 16 October 2024 courtesy of Yelp and ordered a Matcha with oat milk which was sweetened with agave. I added a cinnamon blend mix to the top of my drink when I arrived back to my apartment. The touch of cinnamon really did the trick in making my Matcha taste even better. I've been back about 4 times since my initial visit. As a non-coffee drinker, I was brave and tried the Dulce de lèche drink (iced latte with a caramel sweetener, oat milk, & made with less espresso - 1 shot of espresso instead of 2 shots). I liked the drink and I got it on another visit to the coffee shop. I've had their beef and chicken empanadas which are tasty. The beef is my favourite because it is a bit more juicy. The chicken empanada is dry. For sweetness, get their alfajores which are shortbread cookies filled with dulce de leche (caramel). All their pastries, including the empanadas and alfajores) are made by Jossi's bakery. I definitely recommend visiting this local, female owned business. The owner is from Mexico. Finally got to try Dahlia! It was mazapán day so I got the mazapán latte. I would like to call out entirely that this is just my opinion but I did not care for it. It was not for me, fine. However, the guava cheese roll and the beef empanada are for me! The Frida paintings everywhere are also my jam. I was craving coffee at work one day, but did not want Starbucks. I saw Dahlia, a Mexican coffee shop (that is women and Latina owned!), on DoorDash and gave it a try. I'm so glad I did. I ordered an iced Mazapan latte, which had flavors of peanut candy and hazelnut. Holy crap was it good. I also ordered a potato pie (puff pastry filled with mozzarella cheese, diced potatoes, onions, and sweet peppers), and alfajores (soft shortbread style cookies filled with Dulce de leche). The baked goods sold at Dahlia are from Jossi's bakery (located in Broadview Heights). There were a variety of pastries to choose from, and I regret not ordering more, they were amazing. This place is in the Pivor center which has a large parking lot. There's no seating inside the shop itself but that's okay. The two people working as so lovely. They seemed happy to answer my questions and just passionate about this place. I went with the Dulce de Leche latte and it was perfect. Sweet but not overly sweet and or cloyingly. Now, the pastries. Guys, omg. They have alfajores!! The perfect cookie with a beautiful dulce de leche center. To die for. I asked for a breakdown of the pastries they had and then bought...one of everything. Chicken empanada? Solid. Cream cheese/spinach turnover and chicken salad turnover? Solid. Guava-roll-thing? Solid. Concha cookie that was shaped like a heart by a separate baker? Adorable and tasty.
