Great coffee shop in a trendy neighborhood. We always try to find local places to visit and Rising Star Coffee Roasters was perfect. The shop is located in and old fire station and has a chill vibe inside with plenty of places to sit or work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is also ample outdoor seating and places for children to play.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we visited there were several moms with their kids hanging out. The service was excellent and the coffee was perfect.

Rising Star is always the boldest and most flavorful part of my day. I'm Rising Star addict in general with this store being among my faves locally. It's a very popular destination in Hingetown (Ohio City) for a good reason. Coffee: Whether you're getting a cup or beans to go, both deliver delicious flavors. The brand has an actual coffee buyer expert who procures the beans from coffee farms across the globe. I did tell him that he has the coolest job at one of the RS events! Back to the coffee, I usually get specials (will run you around $4-6) or my traditional cold brew or iced coffee ($4-6). I always appreciate that the coffee here is consistently well prepared, strong, and flavorful. I always know that I'll be very awake for all life's adventures. SERVICE: Service is always good and quick. Employees all have very cool eclectic looks, which just elevates the experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]LOCATION: This cafe is right by Hingetown hot spots including the Transformer Station.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can drop in after cycling at the Harness Cycle or after checking out nearby City Goods. Parking can be found on the street, at the Transformer Station, and at the nearby apartments (parking garage) Church and State. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location has been wildly popular during the last few weekends I was there - long lines.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd stand in a mile long line for Rising Star though, doesn't bother me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Check out this location to socialize inside (open space and cool wood accents) or outside (historic Hingetown views on the patio).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You'll love it here either way!

Overall the iced latte was mid, the latte didn't have any vanilla flavoring like advertised. I had to add sugar and cinnamon but still overall not a good latte.

I'm a coffee shop gal, and I'm a definite sucker for a tiny one, so I was happy to see that Rising star was located on the street level of the hotel I was overnighting in. It's unassuming, and everyone moves really quickly inside, but don't let that deter you! The baristas are happy to assist with the menu, or provide suggestions. I love that it's vegan-ish, and they make sure to ask of your like whole milk, or a substitute. I ordered a matcha latte, which comes unsweetened, but there are several choices if you aren't a fan of the bitter taste of matcha. Those choices were: honey, lemon, & lavender. These are an additional charge (noted on the menu, but no price listed). They also have a variety of vegan baked goods, such as chocolate, vanilla, or blueberry lemon scones, poppyseed bagels, plain bagels, cookies, & brownies. I opted for the blueberry lemon scone, but if I'm being honest, it had zero taste. It was like eating... dried tofu. I wasn't a fan, but I'm sure someone else would like it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have ample indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a few benches.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The small space is expertly used, so you don't feel crowded waiting for your order, and you can study or have private conversations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One thing that threw me off, is they don't put a lid on your drink. I quickly understood why: so that you could customize it at the counter opposite the pickup area, if you'd like to add other sugars, or creams. I spent about 20 mins enjoying my iced matcha and people watching. I cannot wait to return!

Enjoying a morning coffee on the pier before the aquarium

Random google find before the aquarium and it didn't disappoint for coffee. I had the vanilla bean latte with oat milk and it was fabulous! The boys had mochas and my girl had a hot cocoa. We were a little sad at the holiday time there were no pastries or breakfast items but I took that into consideration. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute old fire station and had a kids movie on the tv![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick and kind!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This coffee shop has such a warm, welcoming vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The baristas are always friendly and they rotate seasonal frequently. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating which makes it great for working or catching up with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the old fire station doors opening in the spring on summer is a huge bonus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tend to gravitate towards The Promised Land latte when I come and it always hits the spot.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cute coffee shop locates right at the entrance of the beautiful ' Arcade ' shopping mall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have variety of options for delicious coffee and matcha drinks. I love that they offer the option of extra matcha shot to add to your drinks for a matcha lover like me. Staffs were very nice and friendly and I got my drinks rather quick.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]3 tiny two top tables on their inside patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small place, no seating in the store front at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Order by the pasty and line forms to the right of the pastry along the counter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's the busiest place since it's the only open shop at the arcade.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Grabbed a small jasmine and small green tea and an oat milk latte. $7.25.

Guys this place is a hidden gem!!! The coffee is out of this world good. It was bursting with flavor. The cardamom brought out the aroma of the coffee.. the service is good and best of all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's super tiny place that is full of good vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is my new coffee spot!!

This place was a great spot for a coffee and a treat downtown! The coffee was excellent, I'm not usually a fan of flavored drinks because they taste artificial or too sweet to me but the cardamom bomb latte was phenomenal and my husband got the chai latte which was awesome too! I got a gluten free and vegan blueberry banana bread which was great and my husband got a coffee cake muffin. I was very impressed by the coffee at this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It doesn't have a ton of seating space but a great stop in spot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Coffee shop is super cute. It's small, hut cute and thr coffee. Just pure deliciousness right amount of coffee to milk. It was a cold day to the warmth was very much welcome. The coffeeshop is also attached to this beautiful building. Which is now a hotel. Pretty cute place to stay if I may say. The staff was sweet and helped me pick my coffee out. They were prompt to make it. They also seem to like what they do a lot. Meaning coffee will for sure taste better.

UPDATED REVIEW -- I recently visited again in late April 2026. I came in the morning to work. I sat…read moreat the back which is the room in the front right when you walk in from the main doors. There is also the main area (center part where you order) that has tables and chairs which is situated when you first walk in and then there is a back area towards the left that can be used as well. So, there are 2 back sections. DRINKS -- They sell matcha, tea, and coffee. I ordered a cup of Storehouse black tea with honey ($4 price, I think). I think the employee added too much honey in my tea because my stomach started hurting a little so I couldn't finish it but that's okay. I later got a mug of warm water which helped soothe my stomach. The cup of tea though is quite expensive but I like to support local businesses (Storehouse Tea is a Cleveland business). FOOD -- I also ordered a Rosemary bagel ($4) with a side of butter (.50 cents). The Rosemary bagel was delicious which isn't surprising because the owners make their own bagels. If you work remote then this coffee shop is for you as they have free wifi and plenty of tables to use. They have lots of chairs and tables laid out in three different sections. The music isn't as loud like most coffee shops in the area so I appreciated that. The back area towards the right only has 2 outlets available but thankfully, I got one to use. If you come with a laptop, make sure your battery is charged or find another seat where there is an outlet. TIP -- They sell packaged coffee to go, some packaged biscuit mix, and cute notebooks.

No coffee shop will ever be greater than ready set! I come here multiple times a week because it's…read morethat great. AMAZING and friendly staff, delicious bagels, 10/10 coffee, and sooooo much seating in the space . It's hard to beat a place like this!
