My sister and I went here on the recommendation of my former boss's friend, and this was unfortunately one of the worst experiences we've had at a salon. We came from the Valley and managed to arrive about 10 minutes early for our appointments, yet both of our stylists (who were also coming from the Valley) were so late that the owner, Ben, had to step in to quickly trim my hair in between his clients, while my sister was left waiting and got stuck with one of the late stylists. Her stylist walked in with Starbucks and never apologized for being 45 minutes late; plus, she barely trimmed my sister's hair. While I appreciate Ben stepping in to fix the problem, he had to work quickly, and I naturally felt that I was being rushed out the door. My hair turned out OK--nothing amazing--and no one offered a discount as an apology for the inconvenience. I was hoping Daidone would be a viable option for me, but I won't be back after this experience and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a salon. read more

As soon as I left, I called another salon to make an appointment to fix it... The cut makes me look like the nerdy kid in high school in the 80's. The stylist didn't feather my ends at all while adding layers, so the layers look really choppy. And she didn't use any hair products while blowdrying. Even my fiancé who always says I look beautiful agreed that I needed to get it fixed. I had to keep my gaze down the entire appointment because if I looked up, I'd cry. When I looked at it in the car, I DID cry. I spent years growing out my hair -- asked for an inch and a half off, and the stylist took at least 3 inches off. I'm so distraught right now, but to be fair, the owner is so so nice and the salon has a very chic vibe to it. I'm sure it was just a one-stylist issue, but I'm still brokenhearted read more

I scheduled a hair cut with Alyssa, and not only did she run 45 minutes late, she walked in with Starbucks, never apologized for being so late, and said that I could get a credit for a conditioning treatment, but that it "had to be with her." And when she finally does my hair (after going to a shampoo-ist who drenched my back in water), she snips for a grand total of 10 minutes, my hair looking no different than when I came in. Paying $110 for 10 minutes of work after being 45 minutes late is absolutely unacceptable. There were two stylists there who tried their best to make up for the terrible service from Alyssa (one stepped in to do my sister's hair because her stylist never even showed up) and the space was large and clean, but I won't be back to this salon ever again. read more

But their messaging did not display their tel. #. Anyway, if my doctors and other appts can give courtesy check to see your ETA, shame on this salon for not extending this simple courtesy. That's how a well run salon does it. Multiple ladies sitting around at the front desk, I guess that would be to much for them. The place was fairly empty and with this kind of communication, I can see why. I had the courtesy to call you to cancel my prior appt. and re-schedule. Did not just stand you up. Your salon did not extend the same simple courtesy to 1. notify me that you were canceling and leaving the salon at a little after 4:00 or 2.. call me re my ETA. I typically give a window of a few days between a salon visit and a review, because it's easy to say how wonderful a stylist is after they've given you a blowout you never could have achieved on your own. That said, it's been a few days, and five stars to the most excellent colorist and stylist Carol Quinn! This is what I loved about my visit: (1) Carol really LISTENED to me, taking time to walk through different options even though it ended up taking more time than I booked. She was super patient with me and made strategic recommendations for my color that resulted in the look I was striving for. (2) My hair was shinier and looks super healthy, and it's still looking great after washing (the big test!). (3) Carol gave me wonderful styling tips and upon her recommendation (and looking at her own gorgeous hair...) I bought a set of hot rollers, which I love! read more
