She is very detail oriented and showed me a way of using eyebrow pencil that looks very natural and enhances my brows.The whole process was very pain free. I have been coming to Yasi for all my waxing and threading needs for over 10 years now. When I first came to her my eyebrows had two very different shapes over the years she has managed to give me a beautiful arch and always makes sure to keep them thick. She runs a very clean practice and I love her new shop. It's hot and new and filled with younger people which is nice. As far as waxing she is very quick and helps to manage your pain. Yasi is so sweet and always tries to accommodate for appointments. She also has a wealth of knowledge for at home remedies from thickening eyebrow hair to how to prevent ingrown hair. Like everyone else, I found Yasi on yelp and I'm so glad I did. The last lady who did my bikini took 45 minutes to get it done. 45 MINUTES!?! I couldn't stand going to her anymore; that's just torture. Thank God Yelp led me to my waxing angel, Yasi. She did my bikini in under 10 minutes, and we were gabbing the whole time I barely noticed the time fly. Since it was so quick I decided to do my underarms, upper lip, arms, and eyebrows - I like to be hairless. All of that and I was done in under 45 minutes. The reason I first came to Yasi was because of good Yelp reviews, so it's only fair that I share one too. Yasi is the reason I drive from mid-town to Westwood. She is the only person I trust with my eyebrows. I get my entire face waxed and Yasi does a great job of cleaning everything up. She uses a combination of wax, threading and plucking to do a perfect job. She knows I'm sensitive to plucking, so she gives me a stress ball to squeeze. Otherwise the waxing and threading are nearly painless. Towards the end, Yasi will stop, ask you to sit up, and take a good look at you before deciding whether or not she's actually finished. She cares about going a good job, and it shows in how she treats you. I've been coming to her for more than a year now and she understands and remembers how I like my eyebrows done. I can't tell you how wonderful Yasi is. She started out as my very nice waxing lady, and over the last 7 years or so has become a friend and practically a therapist! We have had some great conversations while she laughs at me as I whine about how much waxing hurts... I think her favorite story is to recount my first Brazilian, where I practically cried and screamed. I think I've come a long way since then! Speaking of which, I once, JUST ONCE, had a wax done by someone else. It was actually the owner of the salon where Yasi used to work, and it hurt so much! I had no idea before that how lucky I was to be going to Yasi, who really has mastered the quick and painless wax. I have never let anyone else wax me since. I've sent many friends to Yasi over the years, and she remembers each one of them by name and that I referred them. She'll say "How's your friend Sarah? Is she still with her boyfriend?" and other thoughtful little things like that. She allows you to text her for a last minute appointment and squeezes you in. When you are looking for someone to basically perform beauty torture it's important to find someone who can be both calming and thorough. I called Yasi on my day off after reading the good Yelp reviews. She called me back right away and said she would finish up what she was doing and head right to the salon to meet me for an impromptu waxing. Pretty awesome, especially since I was so last minute. I parked on the street around the block (plenty of space, or you can try Sprouts) and walked into the salon. I am not a girly girl and was dressed particularly casually with no makeup, so it was a little intimidating since the other salon ladies and customers were all wearing really heavy make up and nice clothes. I felt like I did not belong there. When Yasi showed up I immediately felt disarmed, she was warm and friendly, and casually but neatly dressed. Yasi's back room for waxing was private and comfortable. She had a good "bedside" manner. Unlike other hair removal ladies she didn't make fun of me when I winced and even promptly handed me a tissue when I teared up. (It didn't hurt very much at all, I'm just sensitive, ugh.) I liked that she used a combination of threading and waxing to get the job done, and was open to taking care of extra spots that I pointed out without giving me a hard time or charging extra. Very friendly, reasonably priced, and thorough. I've gone to places where they only wax and places where they only thread, and I like that she uses both. TIPS: She prefers texting to set appointments! So if you want to make an appointment, your best bet is to text her number. read more

Came here on a whim thanks to a quick Yelp search. I parked on the corner of Ohio and Westwood but there are plenty of 2-Hour meter parking on Westwood Blvd. or 30 min meter parking on Ohio. Soo Yasi works out of a hair salon-Viki's. I was thrown off because I was looking for a sign that said Yasi waxing. Since Yasi is Persian and I saw and heard Persian women from the salon I figured I would ask and see what was up. Luckily, I found the place. She made me feel really comfortable and I felt that I was chit chatting with an aunt. She rents a back room from the salon. It is not glamorous but she is clean and has everything you will need for hair removal. She is well versed in waxing and threading. I had a bad reaction because she waxed the hairs then immediately threaded some of the little hairs that didn't pick with the wax. Sadly, I am well versed in hair removal, being that I had my first wax at 9, but this irritates even the toughest skin. It was my bad to not be vocal on stopping her from doing that and having her just pluck. But regardless good experience and she put tea tree oil mixed with aloe vera to soothe my skin. Then after looking like a red ballon, I found out that she does not take card. Sadly, when I made the appointment there was no mention of it. I ran out to the Bristol Farms next door to get cash back. Overall, ok experience her kindness won me over, but the other stuff mentioned above did a -1 star for me. read more

Wow. Where do I start? For starters, her personality is AMAZING! Getting a wax (specifically a Brazilian wax) can be nerve wracking & daunting. But not with Yasi. She's so sweet, gentle and kind that she makes getting a wax FUN. She's PAINLESS & CLEAN. I've been told that I'm pretty "hairy" so getting a Brazilian wax is usually painful for me, but not with Yasi. She's quick and painless. I don't even feel a thing when I"m getting waxed and its over before I even know it. She doesn't double dip her waxing stick. I hate when I go for a wax and the lady uses a stick on my bikini area and re-dips it into the wax. Thats so unsanitary. Yasi uses a new stick before every time she applies the wax. She also cleans the room with alcohol after each customer. Her salon is clean and conveniently located a few stores down from Bristol Farms on Westwood. Parking is never an issue because there are always meters in front of her salon. Go to Yasi, you will not regret it and you'll never go anywhere else!! read more
