My ex was bringing me in on a modification trying to get a king's ransom in child support and cut back on both my time and legal rights with the kids. I had interviewed other attorneys and was told the cards were not in my favor and that regardless of how badly my ex behaved the system was going to operate in her favor because she was a non-working Mom and I was a working Dad (basically I was told to prepare for the worst). When I went over the details of my case with Chip he assured me that what I was dealing with (my ex's flagrant violations of orders and refusal to respect my role as a parent) was not OK and that he could fight to make the situation work better for me and my relationship with the kids. In brief, Chip was not only able to help me defeat my ex's attempt to undercut my ability to be a parent to my kids, he was able to help me win sole-legal and physical custody of my kids by helping the court see just how bad her behavior really was. To say that this reversal of fortune was a life-changer is an understatement. Chip found ways to get the court to see how unbalanced my ex was... she did us some favors along the way by no showing certain hearings and becoming more brazen in her willingness to violate orders... but had I been with any of the other attorneys I interviewed we wouldn't have even been in position to capitalize on her errors... they were all working to minimize how bad my losses would be rather than adopt the mindset of working toward a win for my relationship with the kids. It's a slight shift in mentality that paid major dividends as my case progressed. I found Chip easy to work with, responsive to feedback and questions, and open to modifying his approach dependent upon what I had in mind on any particular issue. His legal writing style was also a breath of fresh air after having had my legal rights trampled on for years. It cannot be overstated how nice it was to have someone in my corner who was serious about fighting for my rights... his ability to hold the line even when the case got increasingly more complicated made all the difference in the world. After the initial conversation, I finally felt hope regarding my case, which has been investigated by the R.I.C.H.R. for over a year. It finally felt like I was being heard. He asked me to send over the original claim from R.I.C.H.R. and the rebuttal from the lawyer for the company. I also included my rebuttals so he had all the information. I have over 200 pages of documentation about how my former company violated my rights regarding my ADA reasonable accommodation; this should be an open and closed case. I sent Mr Forminsano the original email on 9/26/2022, sent him a second email on 9/27/2022 to just clarify something I had said in our initial phone conversation. There was no communication back from him; I sent another email on 10/5/2022, asking him if he thought I had any kind of case and how much stress this was all causing me (my disability is of a mental health nature). Again no reply on 10/7/2022. I called and left a message on his answering machine, figuring maybe my email got put in a junk folder, but I never heard back from him. This would be four times I tried to get any communication back from him, and he just never thought me or my case was important enough to respond to at all. Based on the other negative reviews, it could have been this company was too small for him to get a decent settlement out of or too small to make for a good advertisement for his firm. I'm sure he was great on the bigger corporations' lawsuits, I'm just saying if you are looking to get some vindication for what happened to you and you work for a smaller company, this law firm is not a good choice.
