Last time I checked leap year comes every 4 years. It is sad that I will never go back after this last insane excuse, we literally rented 4 cabins, which is alot of money. I came home with over 10 bits using bug repellent! The shower area had no soap for hand washing for 2 days I was there.. I also heard ppl up partying and yelling well after quitting time!

Lake Logan is just south of town. It's on the other side of Route 33 and down a twisting road. The…read morelake itself looks nice with clean water. It just doesn't have much going on here. There is a small older looking marina. If you're going to or coming from Hocking Hills you likely will go right past it. It's a pretty good size lake. There's a couple areas for parking. One is along Route 664 at the dam. There's a small hill to climb to get to the beach, which isn't too dirty looking. Farther up is another entrance. This is where to find the boat launching ramp. It's next to the marina. The marina sells boating supplies and snacks. It's not fantastic but it's good for this area. It doesn't get too many tourists here. Several restaurants are located between the lake and highway.

My friends and I are regularly kayakers, we were excited to try kayaking in a cavern. This kayak…read moretrip is extremely easy, but it was very cool to be in the dark with the neon glow of the kayaks. It is consistently cold in the cavern, and we dressed appropriately and were comfortable. This included neoprene fingerless gloves, wool socks, and clean water shoes. You cannot wear regular shoes as they scratch the clear kayaks. Our guide, Drew, and his "photographer", Matthew, were excellent. We felt safe, he provided a good amount of information, and had a sense of humor. A really cool experience in the Red River Gouge area.

He took great photos of each of us and our group. The group was small, which I loved because it never felt rushed. The colorful lights you see as you make your way through the cave are very awesome. Just a heads up, your feet and bottom will get very cold! Definitely wear layers and socks. We went in the summer and were still freezing by the end. Still, it was absolutely one of the best things I've done.

Unless you want to have your money stolen, don't book here. not to mention. who gets robbed 500 for a kayak trip? ridiculous

I was actually…read moreplanning to check out another local attraction (Pearl's Fen) but this place was on the way, so I stopped, mostly out of curiosity, and I'm SO glad I did!! I had limited time, but did make it about 3/4 of the way around the main trail, with stops along the way to take pictures. Wonderful, varied scenery, varied terrain, and VERY scenic!! This old quarry has been "repurposed" and is a great spot to "get away from it all" without going too far. A good-sized lake, a few easy to moderate trails (the rocky lake overlooks are nice!!) and plenty of parking are what you'll find. No, not the best trail markings/maps, but if I figured it out, anyone can!! A great spot to discover in Greene County, I'll be back!!
