You get what you pay for. Saturday lunch was approx $9 per person including a fountain drink. Without the drink its approx. $8. Some of the food items were hits and misses. They have limited options for sushi (3-4 varieties) and a hibachi grill which was unattended but the chef will come at request. Table service was quick and attentive. My favorite items were the string beans (fresh, flavorful and had a nice crunch), mini scallops inside a shell, chinese donuts, butter potatoes and cream cheese sushi. Did not like most of the meats as the dishes we tried were not tender. The red velvet cake was meh but the ice cream bar was good. For the inexpensive price, its not a bad deal. read more

Pretty good as far as Chinese buffets go, and priced affordably. Off the top of my head I think it's under $14 including a drink. I have a few favorite items I usually stick to and they're mostly consistently good as long as you don't go at an off time where the food isn't being refreshed often. Hot & sour soup is one of my favorites here - I admittedly haven't had it at many other places to compare, but it's tasty and a little spicy and I always get it here. Sushi rolls are basic but a nice option. Not the most nicely decorated restaurant, but that's not what I'm there for. Take out boxes are a nice option if you want to take your food home instead. Took off one star only because I feel it could be kept a bit cleaner, but I've never had any issues with the food for the many years I've been coming here. read more

The food was amazing especially the honey chicken (which was so good I got a whole plate full) some of the foods weren't the best like the cream puffs had barely any of the cream in them and the vegetable lomein was a bit ehh (but both were still good) the salad bar was a bit less than standard with not that many ingredients (but still really good) and finally, the ambiance, it was absolutely splendiferous! Over by a wall there was a rocky waterfall display that added a very nice sound to the whole place and at the front counter there was some cool trinkets like a spinny water thingamajiggy and some other cool stuff. They had a *very* wide selection of the traditional and typical of Chinese food is available, along with a good selection of appetizers (wontons, potstickers, etc.), sushi bar, and even American foods such as mac'n'cheese and pizza. It's probably the biggest selection I have ever seen at such a buffet, which is kinda surprising for a standard strip mall affair in upstate NY of all places. This place is just okay, considering the area where options for Chinese buffet are limited. The staff here are nice, and I've never had any issues with them. It's a buffet. You pay when you go in, they seat you, bring you what you want to drink and some utensils, and that's it. Like at every other buffet. They don't do that at Golden Corral, so... For the most part, this place is pretty clean, albeit the floors under the tables/booths always feel a little slippery like there's oil or something on them. But honestly, this is the cleanest buffet in the area that we've been to and we don't find much to complain about. We've gone during the week, on weekends when it's busy, we've been here when it's slow and the staff has always been fine with us. We will always pick this place over Grand Buffet in Le Ray (that places smells like a gas station bathroom and the food tastes how it smells, so take that as you will). Honestly, the standard dishes (general tso's, sesame, sweet and sour, etc.) are just your basic Chinese take out style food. I will say, like at most buffet places, it always gets soggy, so I usually steer clear. I like the sushi bar and the dim sum they offer. Although, the dim sum is pretty popular, so it's a toss up if we'll ever make it in time to grab any. I have never done this before, but I literally just got home from eating here and had to come tell someone how horrible it was. Everything we ate tasted off. The veggies on the Mongolian grill tasted like they had been sitting out for days. Even the macaroni and cheese was weird. The only thing that was decent was the green beans. Congratulations, Daily Buffet, you get one star for having decent green beans. On top of that, everything was sticky, the floor was slippery, and the service left much to be desired. This place gets two stars and I'm about to tell you why. So I'm sitting in this booth and to my left in the booth just on the other side of the divide and glass is a pretty respectable looking family. I'm bout to bite into my coconut shrimp when I see these beady eyes glaring at me just under the glass. The daughter of this respectable family is glaring at me while she licks the wall she's peeping over. The wife and I giggle a bit, gotta love them kids. I take my half eaten crab legs and walk em along the table like they're alive to creep this little girl out and she just giggles. Man it really made our night we laughed about that till we went to sleep. Oh yea this about the restaurant. That story was seriously the best part of it. I mean this place wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. And the waiters were rude as hell and it felt dirty. The food was decent though. It simply isn't worth the money though. I stopped in today the lady checking us in was very personable and professional... being the 4th of July I wasn't sure they would be open. The parking lot was empty. We go in as a family of 6 to be immediately greeted with what to drink... walked up came back to the table ready to eat only to find most of the food was way too cold. Definitely in the temperature danger zone... FOR HOW LONG ONE WILL NEVER KNOW... we let the waitress know of the temp problem but not a quick response to fix the problem. Then the pastry was raw. Sent them back three times only to have the cook attempt to place them back in the oven and burn the top. Clearly the pastry ingredients were messed up in the process because even with the burned tops the pastry was still very doughy inside. Meanwhile we wait observing what fresh foods were up next.... it happens the waitress putting together silverware and napkins takes her ungloved finger, DIGS HER EARWAX FROM HER EAR, places her finger on top of the napkin and roles the for and spoon up for the next guest. I was completely disgusted. I used to love this place...don't mind paying when it's worth it. What has happened to this place. Have eaten here many times. Good bang for the buck. Food has always been fresh and hot and plentiful. Save a little money and just have water with lemon but you have to say so when you pay or they automatically charge you for soda. Seriously, I think they turn the heat on to make you not eat as much. I should have known better when it was a "pay first" buffet in which we were charged for sodas but not asked what we were drinking.
