It was a weekday I was off work so me and my girlfriend decided let's get Chinese food and let's get it delivered. Anyway the meals were hideous my general tossed chicken was burnt hard as a rock. My dog didn't even want it on top of that. The egg rolls were filled with oil. U know normally they put napkins, in the egg roll bags so it absorbs the oil not this place. The whole bag was filled with oil. Everything we ordered was. I hate to say this but nasty shitty wasn't worth a dollar I wouldn't order from there if it was free food and free delivery that's a promise so I suggest if you're looking for real good Chinese food please don't go to United China in Watertown, New York because the worst Chinese food I've had in 40 years so sad. Maybe they need to stop rushing orders and take time on cooking the food correctly especially when you're spending 60 hard earned dollars for food to be thrown in the garbage. Literally, I would rate them a zero star, but unfortunately, you got to rate A1 star. read more

Good Chinese food! I wish they had the chewy chow mein noodles with a bit of crisp but it is the crunchy noodles they use. Some of the items have more liquid sauce than I've had at other places but that's just a personal preference. I'm used to chop suey having noodles but I guess my hometown made it incorrectly lol. I have always ordered from united china in the past. the food is high quality. BUT somewhere along the line they stopped putting the white rice in a separate pint container. The order I just received had the rice and the entre in the same container. that means the gener tso chicken quantity is half what we used to get. I would order one item with the rice in the separate container and feed two. not anymore. that's it for me. let me know if you go back to packing rice and main dish separately again till then Adios read more

This is our Chinese food spot while we're here. Egg rolls are big, juicy and stuffed with cabbage and meat. Steak on stick sounds crazy til you try it, it's a sort of teriyaki beef skewer with sliced not cubed beef. Sweet with a lot of salty umami. So far, I do not have a "favorite" dish. Roast Pork Fried Rice-good, not especially tasty but decent, definitely not flavorful enough to be a main dish but with an entree it has enough to stand up to any sauce you throw at it. Ordered tonight for delivery....it took 1.5 hours to arrive. The order was wrong....I asked for won ton soup and received egg drop. The sweet and sour chicken tasted like fish which probably means they fried it in oil that they had fried seafood in. It also tasted freezer burnt. I CALLED to see if they could correct it and they offered to give me a free soup next order.....really?!?! You should have refunded my food IMMEDIATELY. I ended up going here about two months ago on a date night with my wife. We were originally going to Wish Thai Kitchen, but it is now closed on the weekends. It used to be the best in Watertown but it has changed owners and now it is disgusting. They can't even get your order right and they are rude. The fried rice was more like fried mush with a spoiled taste in it and I asked for bean sprouts in it and got sour gray colored baby corn in it instead. The egg roll wasn't warm or crispy and the cabbage was also a gray color. This was my go to place for Chinese food for 20 years but will be finding a new one now. Just moved from California. This food rivals my favorite spots in la and Palm Springs. Seriously. The lunch special is super cheap and the dude at the counter should be running customer service classes. We both had the shrimp and broccoli lunch special. Damn. Damn... not skimpy at all! Please do not let the sparse entrance fool you about the delight inside. We have tried the others and the very best Chinese food in town is United China. Their food is fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Sometimes it's a lunch special with fried rice and a delicious main dish or go large for the dinner portions both are excellent choices. Price point right on target for a Chinese take out restaurant. We ordered a quart of hot and sour soup which had a savory base and good kick of heat. Ordered two sesame chicken lunch specials right off a card that I had written down when getting lunch orders for delivery. The man who took my order was very clearly irritated that was making him do his job. When I got the food I quickly realized they had given me two orders of sweet and sour chicken instead. I immediately called them and explained the error. The man who answered the phone accused me of lying and told me that he had taken the order and that I said I wanted two sweet and sour chicken specials. I informed the man that I very clearly stated I wanted sesame chicken that I dont like sweet and sour nor have I ever ordered sweet and sour chicken from United China in my life. After putting me on hold for roughly five minutes he came back and said "Yeah, we'll send out another order... I guess". When the man arrived to give me my correct order I said thanks and took the food. As I was closing the door he said in the same angry voice as the man on the phone (obviously the same person at this point) "they want the other order back", which I was more than happy to oblige to as nobody had touched the sweet and sour chicken we DIDN'T ORDER. So I quickly stacked the sweet and sour chicken combos up with their sauce containers stacked on top of them, and at the very top of this pile I sat the card I had read off in order to place my original order. I handed this pile of food to the man and said "Here you go. Oh and heres the card I read my order off of which clearly says sesame chicken". The guy slowly walked to his car, holding the food and looking at the card hopefully feeling like the jackhole he truly is. Bottom line of my review: Quick delivery Good food At least one employee with zero people skills who certainly deserves to be fired. read more
