New favorite place right here. So I'm in town for work and ordered from this place through GrubHub. Well, GrubHub cancelled the order after delaying it for an hour. Someone at Great Wall was able to text me about the cancellation and asked if I would like to order the same thing through them. They double checked everything with me, let me know they'd be on their way quick, and even offered to deliver it to my hotel room. I met the driver in the lobby, handoff was quick. The food you ask? I'm being very honest this Chinese restaurant needs to learn how to clean as well as upgrade their restaurant/menu. It reminds me of back in the early 90s at these Chinese restaurants that I used to walk into and step on roaches it grossed me out truthfully honestly, I would not recommend going there especially if you're going to have them deliver because they rush your order and the service is horrible when it's on the table at your house, the eggrolls are filled with oil. They don't put paper towels or napkins in the bag to absorb oil and the food tastes like trash. I'm very honest to the point. read more

Ordered delivery through the restaurant's online ordering and it was delivered quickly and still hot, even on a busy Friday night. Food was mostly excellent. Chicken and broccoli was tasty and tender. Broccoli wasn't overdone and portion size was generous. Hot and sour soup was tasty and full of ingredients, had a little bit of a spicier kick than I'm used to but I liked it. Fried noodles that come with the soup were crispy and delicious, not limp and stale like they are at a lot of places. Only thing I didn't love was the pork egg roll, it was over fried on the outside and mushy inside. Minor though since the rest of the meal was great. Did delivery through DD. Appetizers: hot and sour soup was beyond bland - literally tasted like water. Wonton egg drop soup was very good! Mains: pepper steak was terrible it was cooked great but no flavor and hardly any meat . General Taos chicken was very good ! Sides: pork fried rice tasted burnt . The pork egg rolls were AMAZING! Seems they are doing you a favor by you spending your money and for "8" which is 4 small wings cut in half 9.99 for the area it's expensive. Where they good yes. The Chinese donut were delicious and piping hot and fresh, i haven't ever had an issue with there service or food in the past few years that I ordered from them and it helps that their food isn't as expensive as other local restaurants that would charge more for the same thing. I have ordered from hear for years and have never made any complaints. We were always very satisfied. Well Monday I ordered dinner and due to the prices going up I unfortunately didn't have enough to leave a tip. Well yesterday I wake up to a negative balance of $5 on my card. The driver wrote it in without my permission. I called and the man on the phone sent me a text of the receipt and there was a 5 in the tip section not even my writing. He said he would refund my money in cash I said I'd like it back on my card he said ok. About 20 min later the same delivery driver that just stole from me is at my door w $5 and started yelling at me. I called back and said why would u send the man that stole from me to come to my house. I was home alone w my grand children the man yelled so loud woke my 4month old granddaughter. Absolutely NOT. I don't understand why people who cook think no one will notice they are being served refried foods. I eat my feelings.....and let me say this......I hope o don't get the runs. It was so bad and stale and old I created a yelp account. IT WAS SO OLD I CREATED A YELP ACCOUNT. . It was so old that from now on I'm opening meals and taking a bite before I pay. It was so old I wished I was Batman and could go in the dark of night and grab someone by the neck. It was so old it should have had some other customers name on it. . It was so old I just KNOW........they only served it to me because it was a delivery. . People who cook know when they are getting old food...reheated food....and yet.....they still dropped off this jerky and expect a tip. I didn't eat here but I picked up a door dash order here last night and the entire parking lot was ice and three inches of slush, a total mess. I slipped on the ice as I was walking through the unlit parking lot back to my car. I fell face first and busted my lip and got cuts on my hands and face. I went back inside to ask them to re-bag my order, as i had dropped it when I fell. I told them what had happened. The employee was not concerned at all for me and didnt say a word about it. Me and my boyfriend have ordered the Dragon and Phoenix meal multiple times and never had a problem. We always got general tso shrimp with mixed vegetables instead of the chicken, like the option shows. Tonight we were told we had to get chicken and shrimp because the menu says "and" not "or". I asked him to check, he apparently did, and said again that it says "and" not "or". Me and my boyfriend couldn't talk to him any longer and gave up on the order. read more

Lo-mein was great, the wantons were a bit...gooey..but editable, and the hot and sour soup was different than im used ( albeit, it was great) but maybe like eggdrop meets hot and sour. The whole button mushrooms were a nice touch over the sliced ones other places use. All and all, was pretty good. read more

Food is freshly prepared when you order; but it's hit or miss with quality. We love their fried rice, so we've given them third and fourth chances and finally found some of their better dishes. Customer service is lacking and delivery estimates are always under estimated, so you may prefer takeout. But again, fried rice is the best in the city, so if you can find the right dish, it's good food. We recommend aiming for the meat and vegetable dishes with brown sauce or the sweet and sour chicken. The wonton soup is decent but the egg rolls are poor. Shrimp fried rice is hit or miss. In fact, once they had a bad batch of shrimp and when we complained, they said they knew it was bad and that they had told the supplier...but they were still using it! read more

Best Chinese in Watertown. Lately, (for the past couple months) it's been the best chinese takeout I've ever had. The chicken is always soft and moist (no disgusting hard pieces) the sesame and general tso is easily the best in our city. The lo mein noodles aren't greesy like other places! So I had this tonight and I ordered fried wontons, egg drop soup, and beef with broccoli. Everything was good except for the beef and broccoli...while I was chewing on a bite of meat, I noticed something sharp in my mouth. I pulled the piece out of my mouth and realized it was a piece of metal! I ended up spitting the bite out and threw everything away. Horrible experience and I will never eat here again. read more
