I got two deep fried rolls because I'm pregnant and I can't have what I will go ahead and call "real" sushi. However, they were both so good with jumbo large pieces. Horribly overcooked food, missing items, etc. Last night was the worst. We ordered through Grubhub to get delivery cause we were exhausted from the week and hangry. When our food came, it felt light. As usual, the sodas were missing. But when we opened the food, we found that one meal and another extra side were missing. Instead, we had a giant package of fried okra. I hate okra and it's no substitute for, you know, a meal. When I looked at the app, I realized they had just removed an entire meal! No call or text to see if something else might work, no subbing a different meal. Just ... nope, no dinner for you, have the world's most hated vegetable instead. I assume they were out of one of the items in my meal, but that's not the way to handle it. Spouse had a couple of bites of his food while I spent 40 minutes arguing with GrubHub to get a full refund (since more than half our order was missing and, dear god, okra). He said it was disgusting and super overcooked. He heroically tried the okra and it broke him. He never wastes food but this delivery went in the trash. I went to Captain D's (finally, after living nearby for 10 years!) and picked up a surprisingly decent meal, enjoyed good service, and even had a vegetable fit for human consumption. Poke Munch is a Hawaiian take on the poke bowl. It is in a small shopping area with plenty of parking. You enter the shared dining area mentioned above and head right to order at the counter before moving on to your seat. The dining area and restrooms were very clean each time I visited. There is a ginormous, easy to read (and understand) list of recommended bowls. Keep in mind you can customize whatever you like! Or ask the staff to make you their favorite bowl.....put their favorite combo of sauces on your custom bowl....etc. etc. I DESPISE ginger, and as I get older, the number of carbohydrates consumed and the size of my pants seem to correlate, so I always hold the ginger & grains and get all mixed greens as the base of my bowl. Their raw, cubed fish has always been exceptionally fresh. There are a ton of vegan options and if you don't care for raw or surf, there is an excellent Crispy Hei Hei bowl with sesame chicken tempura, white cabbage, cucumber, sweet onion, carrot, shiitake mushroom, crispy garlic, unagi sauce, and PM sauce - but again, construct and customize any way you want. Do not sleep on the *Shiitake Mushroom Pot Stickers*. LOVE! Chopsticks, cutlery, and soy sauce are available. Grab a lid for your bowl if you don't finish.
