Called here the other day to place a cake order. The staff were super kind and were fine with a two day turn around time. They were a little perplexed when I requested a simple but specific cake (rainbow) but they agreed to do it. And it turned out great. Win! When I called to check on the day of- they had it ready. I stopped by and there seemed to be only one worker waiting. Took awhile to get my cake but once she was free, she was super kind and helpful. Not sure why the same cake varies in price depending on which DQ you go to but if go to this one again even if it's a bit more pricey. read more

I stopped in Dairy Queen today for a salad and this is the way it was given to me. They said they ran out of plastic lids so my salad was wrapped in cellophane wrap. As you can see there's a small amount of lettuce and tomatoes. There were just a few pieces of chicken. The salad way hardly edible. If you go online to the Dairy Queen website, the salad looks much different than what was served to me. Also I included a picture of the men's restroom. It was very dirty. havent been sense my 20s , Needless to say BIGGEST MISTAKE. i went their around 730ish for dinner and dessert with my grandson and husband. Was excited to take my grandson because hes never been and we found one around us. I remember how much i enjoyed it as a kid and growing up. NOT ANYMORE. I'm very disappointed, the kids in this workspace act like they have no common sense. food was cold and seen the employees pick up fries with their hands of the counter after they all spilled out and PUT it in a bag. After seeing them i felt a little disgusted. I asked to see a manger and she NEVER showed up. After all this i probably waited over 30 minutes for my ice cream. Will say the employee's should not be grabbing each other and playfighting in a workspace when they could have been making my stuff. then after all this i had to ASK them to make my ices cream they left the front and went to the back and didn't come back for another 10 minutes. VERY DISAPPOINTED WONT BE COMING BACK AND SUGGEST YALL DONT GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

The place itself may be a tad dated. But it is clean. The associates were friendly and greeted us. Food was served fresh and warm. Might recommend them letting you wait to get your ice cream after you finish eating. We ate our dessert (sundae with syrup on it) first so it wouldn't melt. But not a complaint. read more

We love a good Blizzard, however, that's not what we got. To be fair my husband and I both tried something new, but when one of the main ingredients is missing it's disappointing. I got the caramel toffee cookie and my husband got reece caramel craze, both were missing caramel. Had we not waited 20+minutes in the drive thru we likely would have taken them back(There were 2 cars ahead of us, both received ice cream). I noticed and appreciated that our blizzards were not made until we arrived at the window but I do believe there should be a better system in place. It appeared some of workers were wandering about, only 2 were filling orders and one was mopping a spill- as they all were carefully walking trying not to slip. Wow. We haven't been to Dairy Queen in a while but didn't expect the changes we saw. My banana split had barely any ice cream. Well, barely anything on it. See picture. I'm a big fan of DQ but the Arden, NC branch has a manager(Sandra) that literally yelled at me the customer, through the drive thru window. She yelled " May I help you...... we don't like being stared at". I was watching them as they made my ice cream. I was deeply discouraged in the restaurant. I recommend that you not even look at their staff due to the severe hostility and threatening behaviors of the manager. They have a great product but we still had to wait 30 minutes for our desserts even after they had closed. Even after a wait I was smiling and understood but then I was met with such angry and rude service for looking through a window. The other staff appeared traumatized and I won't be back. Future employees and customers be warned. This is the reason so many DQs are going out of business. Can't keep staff or customers. read more

As far as DQ's go this is great one. It's kept clean and the service is prompt. We never buy anything besides ice cream cones or an occasional cake, so I can't comment on the food. But, we like the ice cream cones. It's rarely super crowded, so we can get in and quickly. read more

So this location is better than the other. However, the sanitation level is LOW!! Everything is dirty here. The floor has food all over it. The kitchen area was a disaster. The food came out at a faster rate than the other. Has DQ just tanked in general or is it just these locations? I feel bad for the employees here, manager is terrible. Tried to use a coupon last week and the young lady at the desk said they can't because the scanner wasn't working. I asked her to type in the code and she looked lost and got the manager. Manager was able to input the entry but never acknowledged me or my kids...I guess I was expected to apologize for inconveniencing her. Beyond that there was a sign at the front in plain site of customers that had instructions for employees then bold caps letters of "if your don't follow these daily you'll be written up." That's motivating! Kids should realize there's other options for equal or better pay. read more

My turtle blizzard had no chocolate in it, it was just pecans and vanilla ice cream. Did you forget something? All I wanted was a box of dilly bars. Only the drive through was open and it was painstakingly long and slow. I was craving one so bad I decided to stick it out. After waiting 25 minutes, I did not receive my box of dilly bars but just 6 homemade dilly bars in a bag with the thinnest layer of hardshell, you could see the ice cream through it. The ice cream was also freezer burnt. The girls working were goofing off and did not tell me they were out of boxed dilly bars when I ordered it, nor did they explain that to me before running my credit card. About a month ago, I went through the drive thru, purchased 2 milkshakes that turned out to be two "flavored " milks...Then today,,, July 5, 2020 went to pick up a family member that works there...Thought I'd give the shakes there another try...Sent my Bank Card in to purchase 4 shakes...4 at the regular customer price;..(I assume an off the clock employee or their family can purchase food here OR is there a company policy that states otherwise?).;; AND I was only sold 2...WHY??? For whatever reason these people assumed my family member would use their employee discounts OR that they couldn't sale 4 cause they might get in trouble?? TROUBLE for selling food to a paying customer ? Nobody asked for nor expected anything other than 4 shakes at the price on the menu... WOW...just WOW!
