This Dairy Queen cracks me up every time. In my personal experience, they really like dogs. I've ordered cones for my Rottweiler and when I got to the window the person working leaned back and shouted into the restaurant "Yo that cone is for a dog!" And I got a cone so big it looked like it came from East Winds drive in. Yesterday, I brought some smaller dogs through and bought pup cups. Again, the person working the window called to another person, "There are really dogs in there". I don't get it, but I don't mind it either. I don't try to bring my dogs inside. After hitting the drive through we park and eat at the outdoor tables. But I have dined inside in the past and as expected, the surfaces are perpetually sticky. read more

I was disappointed with my recent visit. I arrived just after 4:00 PM and asked if the meal deal was still available. I was told no, even though the app still allowed me to order it. Customers shouldn't have to jump through hoops to receive the same offer. If it's available on the app, it should be honored in the restaurant as well, especially when many other Dairy Queen locations I visit allow customers to order meal deals at any time of day. Since I was told no at the counter, I sat down and placed the order through the app at 4:15 PM. I didn't receive my food until 4:33 PM, an 18-minute wait. When my order finally arrived, my drink was missing. After I asked about it, I was told that drinks show up on a different screen. There was no apology for the delay, no acknowledgment that the drink had been forgotten. The overall experience made it seem like customer service is not a priority at this location. Between the lack of flexibility, the long wait, the forgotten drink, and the absence of even a simple apology, the service fell well below expectations. It may be worth looking at businesses like Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane's, or In-N-Out, where friendly, attentive customer service is a core part of the customer experience. I've been to this Dairy Queen a few times, and the service is consistently slow. If you're looking for "fast food," this probably isn't the place to go. I should have known better, but the lack of care during my most recent visit has me questioning whether I'll be back. Man my husband and I waited probably about 5 min at the order box last night to get some ice cream. Must have been really busy or understaffed? But pretty ridiculous to be honest. By the time we ordered the employee was nice, but then we pulled to the window and had to wait to be greeted again as they were taking orders for the next car. By the time we finally got rang out and received our ice cream the milkshake he ordered was sticky and messy around the cup and top. My peanut buster parfait was also sticky with fudge all over and was over filled so when I opened it to enjoy, ice cream and fudge spilled out. Out of the 5+ times we've come since we've moved to Battle Ground we have NEVER gotten a correct order. Most of the time the blizzards aren't blended well and the bottom half is just vanilla ice cream. We paid extra to add cookie dough and it was missing. The fluffernutter had no marshmallow and this time our small blizzard was only 2/3rds full. The other close dairy queen is just as bad. We will have to find a new dessert place in battle ground. This was my first and last time getting a cake from dairy queen! If I could leave a 0 stars I would. In the photos you will see what I ordered and what I got. First, they couldn't find my cake, and then somehow they miraculously found it but said someone forgot to do the writing on the top. When she brought it out, I immediately said that this wasn't the cake that I had ordered and she just shrugged her shoulders and blankly stared at me. There was scratches on the top like they had taken some thing off of it. The frosting and rainbow print was put on sloppily. She just kept shrugging her shoulders, and looking at me and saying I don't know. Finally, I asked to speak to somebody higher up about it. She got on her personal cell phone and proceeded to talk to somebody. Right in front of my face she was talking to them being very rude about me and said "I don't know she said she wanted to talk to somebody about it". Got off the phone said "I guess can give you 25% off". Not once was there any kind of apology or understanding. Just a lot of silence, and when she did talk, it was just a lot of excuses. I'm extra bummed about it because my kid actually picked out everything for this cake. It was the only thing they picked for their birthday. 5/20/24, approximately 7:15 pm. As I walked to the counter to place my order, I witnessed an employee behind the counter drop a load of sleeves used to make blizzards. There must have been a dozen or so of the sleeves. They spread across the floor in front of him. This employee then picked up each of the sleeves, nestled them back together, and placed them in the slots next to the blender... ready to be used. This is disgusting! How dirty is that floor? Where have the employees feet been? Have they used the restroom? Gross. I spoke with the manager and was told that the employee would be spoken with. It would not happen again. How do we know? I'm concerned that it happened but more concerned with the level of training. He is a food handler! Did he receive adequate training? Who was responsible for this training? What other violations exist? How protected is the unknowing public? What would have happened if I had not witnessed this event? read more

Went in with my sister to try the cherry dipped cone for the first time. There was no line. A member of management , a shorter, full figured girl, and another co worker, were standing at the register doing something with a till and change. They didn't look up or acknowledge us once. No "we'll be with you in a moment", nothing. We waited for about 3 minutes. Then they just walked off. My sister and I were taken aback. We decided to wait a minute longer to see if someone would help us. Finally another employee came up to the register and we thought "ok, he's going to take our order for sure". Well we were mistaken. He started talking to the person behind us. I'm assuming another employee from a different store as they were taking about picking up trash bags. This employee didn't acknowledge us either. I'm really disappointed in this location that seems to be run by careless teenagers that have no concern with providing appropriate customer service. We will never return to this location, as this isn't the first time we've had issues with poor customer service. I highly recommend that the franchise owner and upper management take my advice (someone whose been in customer service for almost 30 years) and retrain the current staff or hire new employees. With our current economy, people have to be selective where they choose to spend their hard earned money and right now, for me, Dairy Queen in Battle Ground isn't somewhere I'm going to spend mine. read more

Your car side service absolutely sucks. It says it will be done and then you have to wait 15-20 minutes longer just for them to bring out the wrong order. As for whoever's making the blizzards, they need to find someone else. I ordered a small blizzard and when I got home (I live only a couple minutes away) I found it completely melted, only filled halfway full, with barely any toppings. I didn't see it before because there was a lid on it. I've never had this experience while going through the drive through but my car side experience is always bad. Went thru the drive-thru and asked if they made the backyard burger as a single. They said yes. When I got up to the window to pay they charged me for a double patty backyard burger ($9). I asked why and between two young guys at the window all I got was rambling about how they didn't know how to correct it and they were having a bad day. I said "be reasonable, you can't give me a single patty burger and charge me for a double". They went back into the kitchen for a few minutes and then came back and handed me a bag. When I got home there was a single patty burger in the bag and they charged me the $9 price. They also kept my receipt, which I had asked for. I called and was pretty angry that they thought it was okay to just charge me and act like they did the right thing when they didn't. Dine in, 6/26 lunch time. I'm guessing they're under new management because it used to be a well-run place. We waited at the counter to place our order for almost 10 minutes. I get that places are understaffed. Things are a bit slower sometimes. The cashier kept telling the person making the ice cream orders that he needed a cone. She kept telling him that she'd "made everything on her screen and there was no need for a cone". 4 times he asked for a cone. She just kept arguing with him. The cashier somehow couldn't rectify this in his mind that he needed a cone to finish the order, but couldn't get one made for him so he stood there staring at the screen with his back to us. He couldn't complete the order and he couldn't seem to turn around and take our order either. Except that eventually the irate customer came to the counter demanding his cone. Cashier said he was sorry but he wasn't the one to make it. I asserted myself out of frustration and shouted for the ice cream person to "just make the cone so we could all move on!" When the cashier repeatedly told the ice cream employee that he needed a cone she should have just made the stupid cone! Get over yourself, honey. It's a cone!! Cashier, grow some guts and stand up for yourself and the customer. The same irate customer said their order had been all messed up and he was really ticked off. The drive through cashier stepped up and made the cone. Then set it on the shelf behind the cashier. Nice move, but why not just hand it to the customer? We were mid-order and I told the counter cashier "the cone is on the counter behind you, just go get it and give it to 'him'". So the cashier did. We finally ordered 2 of the $7 cheese burger meals. If Rod and Karen Ribelin still own this place my advice is to get better management. If you can't, then come in an run the place yourselves until you can get employees who can do a better job. The short haired lady in the front kept yelling at everyone, being extremely rude to her own fellow employees. I'm going to assume she was the one in charge just based off of how she was yelling at everyone. She then went and handed out my food to the wrong table and I know that cause she handed my food to the table next to me. I did not complain except saw how they reacted when this happened and she was not professional at all and once again attacked her coworkers for her mistake. When they put this restaurant in this location, the lines were long! They put in the $5 lunch, people liked that. Now less people go. I find that most of us go, expecting the DQ experience from years past. The ice cream sundae's never disappoint. They should stick to what they do well. The food.....meh. My husband and I (plus our two dogs) decided to get out on a dreary Sunday afternoon (5/23/21) and stopped by DQ in Battleground to grab some lunch. We got the $6 meal deal, which was great value (where else can you get a meal deal for $6 these days??). The burgers and fries were fresh and good and the cheesecake mini blizzard was delicious...just the right amount :-) Also the girls behind the counter made a fuss of our two dogs and gave them a little cup of ice cream each - the dogs LOVED it, of course! :-) We will always return to a restaurant where the servers are friendly and where they make a fuss of our pets...our ice cream-loving dogs thank you! read more
