I've been living in Bethlehem for 19 years so my whole life and my entire family blood line have been coming here since forever and we love the blizzards, the chicken tenders, fries, etc. There is never a winter, summer, spring, fall that I don't get my favorite Oreo blizzard. Just stopped at this DQ at 15 minutes before closing and the young man at the register was OUTSTANDING! He took my special order (adding peanut butter sauce to a peanut buster parfait), explained to me that he had to take the time to type in the special request and then continued on with getting my payment without batting an eye. When my parfait came out, the same young man delivered it personally to my table and asked if it was the way I wanted it just to confirm. This location is just dirty. One time, there was a fly in my strawberry sundae. Another time, there was a hair at the bottom of my daughter's blizzard and now, a LONG black hair in my caramel sundae. When the employees are informed of things of this nature, they're nonchalant and unapologetic. My guess is that this happens quite frequently considering they're not appalled for serving food like this. I've given plenty of chances, as I understand things happen, but this is quite a pattern and flat out disgusting! Hairnets and better attitudes towards customer service are needed! read more

I guess it's just me but I honestly don't get the appeal of Dairy Queen. I've been to three locations within the last year and each one has been just as underwhelming as the one before it. My visit to the location in East Stroudsburg yielded ice cream that was delivered to the table partially pre-melted for our eating convenience. I know that some people enjoy the whole take a number and we'll deliver it to your table idea but personally I find it dumb as it doesn't work if the store is busy or if they're understaffed. My visit to the location in KDH led to an almost twenty minute wait for ice cream (only one person in line ahead of us) along with what I assume would be considered "island pricing" that I'm fairly sure was a good bit higher than what it would have been at a normal mainland DQ location. My visit to this location led to soda that was watered down and flat, fries that were acceptable and chicken that was inedible due to its hard rubbery texture. In other words the whole thing was a total waste. This was a drive thru order or else I would have sent it back/gotten a refund but by the time I figured out that the only thing the chicken was good for was to help practice my crossover dribble I was too far away to warrant coming back. I think that about does it for me regarding the DQ chain as each time over the last year that I've tried them I've been burned one way or another. Plus to be honest the menu is small and quite honestly boring and there are tons of other places in the local area that do ice cream or that even make their own on site. With this track record and with tons of other options, why bother coming here? read more

Check your order before you leave the drive thru!!! They will charge you for a 6 piece and when you get home only get 4, then when you call ( your lucky if they pick up, they tend to pick up and hang up to stop the calls but if you keep calling they maybe will actually pick up) They manager will say to drive back for the TWO pieces that are left.. this is the second time this happens to me but the first time they reciprocated with a free meal for the next time. I respect that cause that makes more since then me going back for what is missing. I told her that and she said the manager said that is protocol, I said ok let me talk to her then since I thought she said she was the manager,, ‍ but I guess there's two?! She hung up on me after I asked to speak to the other manager, very unprofessional and bad customer service. read more

I had a strange hankering for DQ. Don't ask me why. I promise I'm not pregnant. Anyways, they are running a "Sweet Deals" promotion right now. They have eight special menu items (hot dog, cheeseburger, chicken wrap, french fries, onion rings, medium soda, dipped ice cream cone & small sundae) at a discounted price: 2 for $3, 3 for $4 and 4 for $5. So the price is definitely right. The food is standard DQ. I forgot how little their ice cream tastes like ice cream, though. It's pretty low fat, so they must not use much cream in their ice cream. :( And my hot dog tasted like it had been around for more than a few hours. But for what I paid, it was more than adequate. Their staff isn't overtly friendly but they aren't cranky pants either. If you order food for dine in, they'll give you a number and bring it to your table when it's ready. It's a nice touch for a fast food joint. read more

This is an update to my last review where I sat for 20 minutes waiting for a Mudpie Blizzard. When I had gone up to the counter I was told "we're just making it" so I had asked for my money back to hear the cashier shout " cancel that mudpie the guy wants his money back!" I sent a review to the contact for DQ corporate and the store manager called me asking I give them another chance to make it right and please come in for a free meal on her & blizzard. I stopped today and the food came right out. They then had my blizzard for me when I was done eating the food. Double cheeseburger, fries, and blizzard were great. If only I had been told the day of my original order that they gave my order to the wrong customer. Mistakes happen! Anyhow, I am a fan again! They made it right! read more

Ordered a chicken sandwich meal. The only thing satisfying about the meal was the Coke. The chicken had this weird plastic texture like it was all muscle. With a consistency like it was raw. Oddly enough I waited about five minutes for them to cook it fresh. The fries were under cooked, not crispy at all. Will not be returning. read more

I am completely disappointed in the service I received from the local Dairy Queen. I ordered a kids chicken finger meal and waited 15 minutes being the only car in drive-thru at the time. I requested honey bbq as a dip and was told unfortunately that sauce can only be sold with pulled pork sandwich, when I insisted that sauce was my choice I was told by employee "sorry, I don't make the rules." I requested to speak to the manager and after 10 minutes the employee that took my order said sorry he's busy right now. Waited another 5 minutes and got the kids meal as though chicken and fries were thrown into the bag. While waiting saw a car at the ordering com-system that sped away and right after that car followed another. No napkins no ketchup offered. Horrible service. read more

Same old Dairy Queen. Nicer and larger than some I've seen. The man who took our orders (I wish I could remember his name) was very good; he actually complimented me on my selection. They have outdoor seating and a Drive-Thru, so you can't complain too much. read more

My wife and I both ordered popcorn shrimp. When it came I realized they forgot the cocktail sauce, I went to the counter to ask for some. The manager, Shawn (Sean?) Told me they ran out an hour ago. I asked him how they could sell popcorn shrimp and not tell customers they were out of cocktail sauce? The response I got floored me. I was told that even though cocktail sauce is shown in the meals picture it "doesn't come with the meal. We just provide it." What? What?? Really? Isn't that like ordering a hamburger and being told it really doesn't come with a bun? And this from a manager. Really? The incompetence of this manager is startling. As far as fast food goes, this DQ beats all the other chains in this area. The burgers, fries, onion rings, and chicken are great. My husband loves the blizzards, too. If you bring your dog through the drive-thru lane, the staff will always ask if you want a puppy cup (a small cup with vanilla ice cream). I love that pet-friendly touch! Drive-thru staff is generally very friendly, but they tend to mess up the order if there is more than one substitution. They also tend to forget gravy for the chicken, so some friendly reminders may be warranted. Because the meals are placed in boxes (which I like, but...), it's hard to double-check the orders in your car. read more

I like This Dairy Queen. The quality of the food and Ice cream is always very good. However compared to other Dairy Queens the service is a little bit too slow for just ordering a Blizzard or an Orange Julius. Secondly my one buddy complains they never turn their Blizzards upside down which all Dairy Queens should I suppose. But overall not a bad Dairy Queen there is just some room for improvement. read more
