Boomer the doggo sitting outside of the best restaurant in cranberry!
    Greg P.

Excellent food, employees are very friendly, even the manager is great. This is my favorite place to eat out. The burgers are fantastic and the chicken strips are legendary! And of course the ice cream is great too

I had to scrape it off it was so bad.

I got a peanut butter sundae and the peanut butter looked like it was sitting at the bottom the container. Normally the peanut butter is very liquidy but this time is was like a rock. Totallay inedible never going again.

These things are everywhere, very great food. Just a little unsatisfying seeing these every way I look.

There were a lot of flies around the place. Not the worst place I ever been. The food was great and so was the service, just a little unsatisfying seeing flies every direction I look in.

Dairy Queen is a chain and while most chain restaurants are pretty much the same, this location is below average. It wasn't dirty, but I would definitely use dingy as a descriptor. Service was extremely slow ("Am I in a time warp" sort of slow), unfriendly and seemingly clueless. Ultimately, the ice cream tasted good, so I can't really complain.

Thick, rich, indulgent... basically dessert doing the absolute most. And bonus points for bringing out the extra shake that wouldn't fit in the glass--because no one should be denied that kind of joy. On the savory side, I ordered the cheeseburger sliders with baked beans. The sliders were perfect for snacking--juicy, classic burger flavor--and I loved that they brought out a plate with lettuce and tomato on the side so you can build it your way. Thoughtful touch. The chili was zingy, rich, and packed with flavor. Great food, fun vibes, and staff that clearly gets it. Burgatory continues to deliver, and I'll absolutely be back--probably sooner than I should be.

Am looking forward to being back! My server was Tolia (sorry if I'm misspelling/misremembering) and she did an AMAZING job. She was super friendly, made awesome menu recommendations and was a delight to chat to. She recommended I start with the char grilled octopus and this was delicious. It came with capers and a grilled lemon and olive oil and was beautifully presented. The potion was easily finished by just me, so if you have more than 2 people I'd recommend getting more than 1 order of these. It's so delicious. I was then picking between the pastitsio and the moussaka. I was told they both have a strong nutmeg flavor which was not a problem for me. I decided on the moussaka and it was so delicious. It did have a strong nutmeg flavor but not in an overwhelming way. It came with a bechamel sauce on top and layers of eggplant with ground beef tomato and potato. It sort of reminded me of a shepherds pie if you're not as familiar with Greek food. The portion was HUGE - could easily split between 2. I ate almost half of it but couldn't eat the rest although I wish I could've. It was so good. The cocktail I ordered was a nectar spritz (something with "nectar" in the title at least) and genuinely was one of the best cocktails I've had. Definitely beat every other one I had in Pittsburgh this week by FAR. So yummy. I was so impressed with every aspect of my dining experience and would definitely be back!

Will be back to try other offerings.

It's still…read moreunfortunate that the Ross Park Mall location closed making this the closest, and after biking on a warm February day I was in the mood to undo my progress with a burger and fries. I showed up around 5pm after placing a mobile order, but was worried since it took me a bit to get there due to traffic and distance. I ordered a Little Bacon Cheeseburger, medium Cajun fries, and chocolate milkshake (a classic combination!) so of course I didn't want it to be sitting there at room temp when I arrived. Thankfully they still make a decent amount of it when you get there to ensure freshness! As soon as I announced I was there for an online order some of the crew prepped the milkshake and put together a new batch of fries while I waited at the pickup table. After a few minutes I had everything and sat down, noticing how clean and organized the restaurant was. This isn't your typical McDonald's with sticky floors and debris everywhere. All seats were pushed in, the floor and table tops were clear of messes, and a young worker spent most of the time I was there going around emptying trash cans and tidying up. Most fast food joints neglect that due to having everyone hurriedly filling orders at the drive through and being understaffed. A steady stream of customers came in during the 45 minutes I stayed and the kitchen staff handled it all in decent time. I like the layout of this location and others too, much of the kitchen is visible which gives you something to watch while eating, but also gets you seen right away when entering. Plus the free peanuts and sacks of potatoes add to the unique feel. Even a sign telling you the town in Idaho where the damn potatoes came from! Plus all the signs around the restaurant touting news articles mentioning the popularity of Five Guys. It all just stands out from the drab gray appearances of remodeled modern fast food places. I'd say my only gripes were the cost, it does tend to be notably higher here than the competition. And me always forgetting to order the small fries, you get plenty with that and half of them overflow the cup and are in the bag, haha!

Well, today was the day, and we had high expectations based on the photos and other Yelp reviews that we saw before dinner. It, unfortunately, did not live up to our expectations. The outdoor seating area is nice, and the entire restaurant gives off an upscale Primanti's vibe. We ordered the Pabst burger, Fried chicken sandwich, buffalo wings, and kids' chicken tenders. The French fries ended up being the favorite part of our meals. Everything else was so-so. Warning on the wings... They came out incredibly hot. I ate everything else in my meal and came back to them, but they were still almost too hot to eat. The service was solid, and the food came to our table quickly. I understand that "Tap House" is directly in the restaurant's name, but the patrons at the table next to us were enjoying Happy Hour heavily, and their conversation, during our time there, eroded into a significant amount of loud cussing. It definitely made me second-guess whether I would go here with my kids again. I think we'll give it another try, and I hope that today was just an off day.

Food came out relatively quickly and everything was cooked to our liking. The crispy chicken sandwich was still moist which was great; however, the buffalo sauce seemed a little heavy and so it made the bun relatively soggy and gross. I ate the chicken and pickles and those were enjoyable. I can typically get a head start on ordering for my wife and kids so that once they sit down, the food is arriving shortly after. That convenience matters when you have hungry kids. Not today. Apparently the entire party now has to be present before food can even be started, which completely defeats the purpose of trying to plan ahead as a parent. Instead of walking into a smooth experience, we're now sitting with hungry kids waiting for food that could've already been cooking. The service itself has always been good, and the staff has been friendly, but this policy just doesn't make much sense for a casual family restaurant. We aren't at a fine dining restaurant in the middle of a major city. Families come here because it's convenient, kid-friendly, and efficient.
