I don't go to Dairy Queen very often and my experience this time explains why. I decided to go on the DQ national promotion for free cone day. But when I arrived there was lots of activity and people around but many were leaving. At first I didn't know what to make of it, if anything. I assumed it must be because of the promotion. Anyway, the drive-through was stacked, so I decided to go inside where the wait was not too bad. Soon I was at the front of the line. and it was here that my experience went down the drain. When I asked for the free cone, the young lady waiting on me simply said we're no longer offering that. No explanation. So I asked, and it was just that the manager had told them to stop honoring the special. She didn't ask me if I wanted anything else, which I didn't. And with that I left, probably unlikely to ever return. Subsequently I have since learned that many other people have had similar terrible experiences with this Dairy Queen. I don't understand why they can't serve hot, fresh food. I've gotten to go a handful of times and it's never even tepid in temperature. If I get a burger the patty has obviously been pre-cooked and sitting for who knows how long, and the fries are cold. I'm done with this place. read more

As much as I like Dairy Queen blizzards, ice cream, hamburgers and onion rings this location continues to have serious issues with their soda fountain drinks. And when I say sodas I mean the mixture of the Coca-Cola products. This is the third time that I've had issues. Today I started out with a root beer it was a no go, then asked for a cherry coke and it was a no go. Finally I asked for a sweet tea it was fine and as it should be. The unfortunate part of this visit was how the gentleman at the drive thru handled it. He gave me a look of disdain For asking for a simple soda that taste the way it should. I've been to this location at least 3x and although service is slow (like most places these days due to staffing) my order always came as expected. Dairy Queen is a throwback ice cream spot - I've been a customer since the 90s!! I prefer their ice cream products rather than their food but on a desperate day, I would still order some chicken finger or fries and not be disappointed. Recently, I tried their new Oreo mocha blizzard treat and it's dreamy - filled with the right amount of crunch and fudge. As for service at this location, it's a bunch of teens doing their very best. Without aging myself too much, I do remember back in the day friends from high school working at our local Dairy Queen - like many fast food places. When it comes to the food, I think Dairy Queen products are universally equal. However, when I visit a franchise I am looking to see the quality of the customer service. At this particular location, the customer service was excellent and the staff was attentive to my needs. They were friendly and glad to be of service to me. I'm new to the area so when I ordered my mocha moolatte I couldn't believe they did it right (not skipping on ingredients cause the one in Norcross didn't even add the mocha). The service at the location in Grayson is a little peasant but often orders are inaccurate. 3rd time in a row that they've gotten my order wrong. This time when they attempted to correct it they gave me the right flavor but a small in a large medium cup and it was very soft almost soupy in a 1.5 minutes. I didn't feel like going back and forth or going back through the drive thru again. It was a little too late for ice cream anyway so I told myself it was a sign that i shouldn't have gone anyway at this time of night. Long story short... they're close to home but I will not go back at all. 3 strikes they're out. Food is too expensive for subpar service 3x in a row And my medium is about $7. I placed a pre-order for 24 ice cream sandwiches to be picked up on Mother's Day 2023. I arrived exactly on time, picked up and paid for my order. When I got home, I realized that the sandwiches apparently were prepared shortly before I arrived because the ice cream inside was not frozen and was running out of the cookie. A follow-up on my wife Cathie's review, where you can see a picture of the absolutely disgusting chili dog that they served today. When I took it back, the supervisor on duty took a look at it said, "That's depressing." I asked whether it was kept from the night before, and the person making the food said "Yes, I'm sorry." I asked again because I wasn't sure he understood my question, and he said the same thing. I'm honestly not sure he understood, but it really did look like a hotdog that had been prepared yesterday, so it's very possible. The actual visit when I got the food earlier today wasn't all that great either. The person at the drive-thru window NEVER said ONE word to me. He just stuck his hand out the window for the money (not even giving a mildly rude "just-the-price" greeting). I said "Here you go" as I handed him the credit card -- he didn't respond. He handed my credit card back; I said "Thanks" -- No response. He handed my food out, I said "Thanks! Have a nice day." No response. It's just plain rude to not say anything to the customer or respond! And it's almost insult-to-injury to mention that I ordered the chili dog specifically with no cheese. It was rung in as a chili dog (not a chili cheese dog), but they put cheese on it anyway. This was my second visit to this location. The first, the chili dogs were okay, but the Blizzards weren't mixed properly and had no (not an exaggeration) toppings in the bottom half. Needless to say, we won't be back. Drive thru extremely slow.... Purposely ordered something minor to eat in and take a picture of their prices (higher than any other DQ I went to). Love to get oreol blizzards this DQ barely puts any cookies in them and when I asked for a little more cookies please the worker told me that it would be 75¢ more. I decline and bought 2 4pack of Oreos $1.75 at Walgreens right down the street. Sad this place is PURELY money driven and lacks real customer service. They don't whip your blizzards to a creamy texture making ice cream chunky. I hope they read these reviews and do some training or disappointing experiences. I've lived in the Grayson area for over 20 years and used to visit the Loganville Dairy Queen periodically for desert and my wife and family were happy when they built the Grayson location. Unfortunately, every time, including today that we've visited and bought blizzards and PAID for extra butterfinger or other flavors, we get less than the Loganville or the Covington locations. In fact, at these other locations, we don't even ask for extra flavoring and yet we get more than the Grayson location. I just called and asked for the manager and the phone was just left aside and when I tried to call back it was busy repeatedly. I believe this is the third time we've visited and its the same each time. I wouldn't recommend ever going to this DQ location. read more

This DQ seems to be hit or miss and unfortunately my experience has been mostly miss. My husband and I go to Dairy Queen once a week for blizzards so we were so excited when this one opened right by our house. Unfortunately this location often gets our order wrong, forgetting ingredients or adding the wrong ingredients and they don't seem to know how to blend the blizzards all the way down. Last week we ordered our usual blizzard & when we reached home the ice cream is leaking all over because the cups had holes/cuts in the sides! Their employees are rude, and to top it off now they have stopped giving complementary puppy cups.
