Second and last time ordering the new Drumstick Blizzard. The first time, it came without the nuts. Sadly, I didn't notice until I got home. This time, the same thing happened, except I asked before I left if it had the nuts, and they told me they were out. If you're out of an ingredient that's supposed to come in the blizzard, shouldn't you let the customer know before making it? That way they can decide if they still want it. This little Dairy Queen totally hit the spot. The restaurant and the bathrooms were nice and clean. We ordered four burgers and fries, and everything was prepared exactly right and tasted delicious. We got four blizzards and they were all perfect. Every worker I interacted with was professional and polite. read more

They're a little slower in the food department than normal, but they still make a mean blizzard! It's located right in between the exits off of 74, so you will have to go down about a mile to get to it, even though its listed on the highway sign just fyi. read more

Dairy Queen has great deserts such as blizzards but their causal food besides the Blizzards is somewhat lacking. I sometimes feel like I am about to puke when I eat their toast that comes with each meal. read more

Went through this drive thru this evening for some ice cream. After I handed the cashier my money and she handed me my ice cream, I decided to use some hand sanitizer. I used it for two reasons. 1. Money is VERY dirty and I always use it after handling money if I can and 2. WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC! I just assumed this was common sense. The cashier watched me use the hand sanitizer and turned to her friend whom she was working with and they both rolled their eyes obnoxiously and giggled about it in a mocking manner. I'm not using it because I'm afraid you have COVID sweeties. I'm using it because I prefer my hands to not be dirty and gross before I go to eat my ice cream. My husband and I got a medium dip cone. The ice cream on top was so small you eat it with one bite. Very poor service. Ice cream was very soft. My husband took a pic of his cone and will be putting it on here and Facebook. Will NOT be returning. I have been coming here for years. Don't waste your money at this location. read more

Went drive through with my friend and ordered a cone. Two girls were by the drive through window busy petting my friend's dog for a good five minutes before one of them went to get my friend's order. Then they ask "do you still want the cone?" Uhm, I had already paid for it so what kind of question is that? The other girl went to get my cone and I saw through the window hat she didn't wash her hands, the hands that she just used to pet all over my friend's dog whom just went to a dog park and went bananas in it, grabbed a cone by the upper part where the sleeve was not covered; put in ice cream, then switched her hand to grab the sleeve and handed it to me. Super insanitary and low efficient! I wonder what else she touches and still serve food without washing her hands. read more

Wow! Totally impressed with this DQ! We are passing through on our way home to Chicago and we stopped for some lunch and soft serve. The burger was hot and delicious. Looked like a DQ ad. The blizzards were loaded with toppings and thick and yummy. Presentation was much nicer than our local DQ back home. If we ever find ourselves in the middle of nowhere again, we will surely be back! read more

They were running a promotion, "but one blizzard at full price and get second blizzard at 80 cents." They gave me two full priced blizzards and when I went back for a refund she said, you have to ask for the discount before ordering and refused to refund the transaction. That's bad customer service in my opinion. read more

They're really great at frozen desserts but not very fast when it comes to making real food, also it could've just been the day we went but seemed like the staff was very grumpy and not friendly with any customer we saw come through the door while we were there eating lunch. My boyfriend and I ordered food worth about $15 through the drive through. Found my receipt this morning and saw was charged $50! I assumed it was an honest mistake and called the store to let them know and have it corrected. The woman who answered the phone demanded my name and ph# and refused to give me her name. She didn't even ask the details of the transaction. I started spelling my name for her and she cut me off demanding my ph# which I provided and again requested her name, which she again refused, then hung up on me. I called back and the same woman answered. I asked to speak with the manager. She stated that I needed to give her my name and ph# or she was going to hang up on me again. I informed her I had already tried to give her that information, that she was very rude, and I would not be speaking with her anymore and asked again to speak with the manager. So.........SHE HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN!!! At that point I called corporate headquarters and explained the situation to them. I have to wait several days for a follow up on something that could have been easily resolved. I called the store a third time hoping someone else might answer but the same woman answered. I again asked to speak with her manager. She stated she was the manager but again refused to give me her name. She then stopped talking to me entirely but I could hear bits of her talking to someone else in the background. Something about caller ID and "let's see if she's lying". I told her I'd heard her and she tried to tell me it wasn't about me. Yeah right! If she truly was the manager I can understand the most recent comment that said the staff was grumpy and unfriendly.
