Terrible decision to come to this Dairy Queen. Drove from bay city, just to be told the blizzard we wanted was unavailable. Waited 15 minutes to have our order taken. Got a chicken strips fry ring box, came without the onion rings and when we sent it back to get some, the bread came up missing even tho it was there 5 seconds ago. Blizzards are not mixed well. Employees are great, place is clean and rest of food is alright. It's just the most iconic ice cream gets messed up every time. Perhaps new employees are being taught incorrectly. Definitely not the end of the world but I only go to DQ for the blizzards. Unfortunately this is the only one in town. I haven't been to a DQ in about a decade, so I wasn't expecting much. I tried the Orange Julius and Strawberry Banana; they were both nicely refreshing with the latter having actual bits of banana. My boyfriend usually gets an Oreo Blizzard, and each time the cashier turns the cup upside down quickly to prove how chunky it is. Although I can't enjoy a whole Blizzard due to lactose-intolerance (right, what am I even doing at a place called DAIRY Queen..), I did have a few bites and it was delicious. This location also has a happy hour which allowed me to get a small ice coffee for $1. I asked for it without dairy and although the girl behind the counter warned me that it would be bitter, she easily complied with my request. On our most recent visit, we also got some fries. They were very hot and fresh from the fryer, crisp on the outside and smooth inside. Not bad at all! I was not looking forward to trying the "grill" part of Grill & Chill from an ice cream chain, but the fries are quite good. read more

I will never go to this DQ location again. This is literally the ONLY Dairy Queen I've been to that manages to screw up their iconic "blizzard" every single time. I've now been here 3 times and every time I've convinced myself to give it another shot and that the soupy melted mess of ice cream that they try to pass as a blizzard is just a fluke. Nope. Never again. I thought there was some sort of guarantee that they must be able to turn the cup over as they give it to you but apparently that doesn't apply to this location. My boyfriend got the blizzard and I got the DQ bake with the chocolate chi cookie and I was also disappointed that the cookie was just about as cold as the ice cream it was served with. Pretty sure that's not the point of the "hot desserts" they advertise. Not only that, but the last time we went there, we waited for a good 10 minutes before they brought out our simple order of 2 blizzards. read more

Well I decided I hadn't ate Dairy Queen in years so I would give it a try so my boy could have an ice cream after we were done. So I order a chicken strip basket with fries, I get my food and start eating it. I get around to eating my second tender and start pulling it apart and it doesn't look right but I'm not a complainer so I just let my son finish his fries thankfully he's 2 and had more sense then me to not eat the chicken. I get home and instantly get sick, food poisoned by the friggen chicken. I haven't felt this kind of pain ever in my life and I've gave birth!!! Never again will I eat at another Dairy Queen let alone this location. So my advice to anyone if you want to feel what Labor may feel like or want to lose 10 pounds instantly after walking out, take yourself a little drive down to the Midland Dairy Queen you won't be disappointed, but if your like me who chooses not to spend the evening in the restroom stay clear cause you just might die! Today during my visit to Dairy Queen in Midland Michigan I ordered a Strawberry Cheesecake Royal Blizzard expecting a fast delivery because it is considered "fast" food. Let me tell ya it was anything but "fast" food. I sat there in the dining room for almost 20 minutes before they finally got my order out and i was beyond upset. And to top it off the strawberry's in the middle of my Blizzard were still frozen. Now I don't know if this was a one time thing or if it is continuously like this but I do not recommend this restaurant based on my experience. read more

Went there too get an m&m blizzard and the ran out of m&ms. Then when I tried to get a raspberry shake that ran out. So, I had to settle for cookie dough blizzards. They gave me almost no cookie dough. Good thing there are lots of ice cream places around town. read more
