Honestly, I'm impressed. Lately it seems like DQ has been getting lazy, giving out small, cold portions, dirty restaurants, not so polite employees, but this DQ has done quite the opposite. Today I ordered a Peanut Buster Parfait with pecans instead of peanuts (allergic) and added caramel. I was charged for extra pecans instead of a swap, like the other DQs do. No one could explain to me why that happened. Other than that, my ice cream was good. read more

Last Saturday I went to Dairy Queen to get some chicken finger boxes. I ordered the large ones so for the two I was aware they would be a little pricy. I only got one regular sized drink. My mom loves onion rings so I ordered two. When I got to the window to pay the price was almost 34.00. I was in a hurry so I payed and left so I could get home while the food would still be hot. While sitting at a light I pulled out the receipt and looked at it. I was charged 4.49 for each order of onion rings. I could not believe it. The onion rings were pre breaded and had been frozen not to mention that there were about 6 minimal size onion rings. To me that is like someone stealing from me. I could have bought two steak dinners almost for this amount. I will not be going back and I will tell everyone I know to be aware of the pricing if they do go. read more

I stopped by to get some ice cream last night at 8PM. When I pulled up to the store I saw a couple cars drive off without continuing their order and I was confused. I drove up to the speaker box and was greeted with "hello, we're not taking any ice cream orders". I can't really say I was that surprised based on my last two visit here, and just drove off. This was my third and final visit to this Dairy Queen since they have opened. Shame on me for giving them a third try after two previous trips to this location. There isn't a big selection of ice cream shops in Mobile, and to have no ice cream on a regular basis is just bad for the business. read more

Dairy Queen really needs to fix the way you treat your employees. I have crohns disease and was told by my manager 1 why doesn't it stink when she comes to check behind me after I leave (poo-pouri is the answer btw) 2 exactly what am I doing in there? expelling waste for 5 min and straining the other 25? exactly minute by minute what's going on 3 I told her I was going home because my butthole was literally bleeding she said "yeah mine to get over it" the amount of shame and humiliation I felt while trying to have this conversation can't be put into words. I truly recommend no one support this business or have the mis fortune of working for them. I didn't eat before or during my shifts to try and alleviate this, I was on a liquid diet and everything and it still wasn't enough. now to add insult to injury she's is trying to say when I went home that day that I abandoned my job, took me off the schedule and took almost a full week to inform me. ps they don't date things well and they frequently use ice cream mix that has been expired by a couple of days. eat at your own risk read more

Last time I will visit a DQ in my life! I have gone to the only DQ on Mobile, AL. Why would you serve bananas with ripened ends The ice crean was half melted. The peaks of the ice cream did not even come above the rim of the container. When asked to speak to the Mgr some other staff member came out yo address my issue NOT the mgr. Hotdog overpriced and very tough like it was overlooked or very old. Ordered menu item chili cheese dog with no cheese and add coleslaw. No credit for no cheese but charged $.75 for a teaspoon of cole slaw on the dog. Took over 10 minutes to get food with only one other customers inside. Fries were stone cold. Stopped by with the family after baseball game on 4/17/18 for a sweet treat. Went through the drive thru and the ordered 4 mini blizzards was messy and running all over the sides and some was not even fill to the top. The food is pricy and isn't great. We no longer get food there. The ice cream cake are good but the service is terrible. Three times now we've gone to get the ice cream cakes and all three times we grab one in which the label says $22.99 but we are charged $26. The excuse is always "it's a blizzard and it's mislabeled." The first time it happened I asked what the difference was between the blizzard cake and regular ice cream cake. The cashier couldn't answer yet she was sure that what I was holding was a blizzard cake. She referred me to another worker who said "the blizzard is like that on the picture" pointing to the ad near the door. When I asked what makes it different, he replied that "blizzards have ice cream mixed in." Really? So the ice cream cake doesn't have ice cream? I was a bit confused. Clearly if I wanted the cake I was going to have to pay $26. So the third time, everything in the freezer is labeled $22.99. But the one we picked out just happened to be mislabeled...again. Yes we do want the cakes badly so we have been putting up with the nonsense. Maybe it's time to try a different location. read more

My grandson and I order a small plain cone and a banana split, then grab a table and wait for our order to be brought to us. After 15 minutes I'm thinking how long does it take to make this simple order? It not what you would call crowded. I sent my grandson with our order number and told him to ask if they forgot us. Another 5 minutes goes by when my grandson comes to me and tells me they don't have bananas. Twenty minutes and nobody bothers to tell me! These kids working here have no sense of quality service. They only get one star because there is not a half star option. I wanted a delicious DQ burger from my childhood. Sadly, the mushroom swiss cheeseburger was a terrible choice. The burger was dripping because the mushrooms were mushy soup. The cheese was liquid. No tomatoes, lettuce or pickles. The texture of the meat was similar to dog food. This Dairy Queen is perfect for a day you have nothing else better to do. Spent 25 minutes waiting in line with only three other customers in front of us. One customer in front of us out of those three ended up walking out because they got sick of waiting. Finally get up to order and just got a couple small smoothies because if we waited that long to just get up to counter with three people in front of us, sure in the hell wasn't going to wait an hour for food, needless to say took another 20 minutes just for the two small smoothies to get made. I can see this place loosing out on customers because of waiting, hell could of went to Hardee's and been done in 10 minutes. read more

Went there for a quick lunch. The floors in the restaurant are "ice" slick. They were almost impossible to negotiate and certainly not carrying trays of food. The manager stated that they were aware of this and the owner was going to bring over something that would make the floor less dangerous. In the interim there were no signs, no mats or anything to prevent an accident. If someone falls because of these floors then I think DQ should be more than held liable. They should be put up on criminal charges because they knew they had a very dangerous situation but did nothing to warn or prevent. Unbelievable....how do they get insurance. This place needs to be avoided, or shut down. And, someone should tell the owner when they have a situation like this ample warnings must be given or close for a few hours until you fix the situation. It may prevent someone from getting hurt. They really do not care which tells you the mindset of this organization. read more

They had this awesome half off everything day, so of course it was busy, but we got a seat almost instantly, yet it still took them almost thirty minutes to get our food to us...figured they'd be better prepared. I can't speak about the food since I wasn't even allowed to order. Their hours are from 10 AM to 10 PM I believe. One night I wanted ice cream late and looked up the time and it was 10. So my boyfriend and I rushed over since it was like 933. We pull into the parking lot and got lost trying to get into the drive through. We eventually find our way and we pull up to the speaker box at 954 to which the "overworked" employee promptly yells "uh, we closed" When I asked to speak to the manager she then proceeds to smack her mouth and yet another disgruntled employee tells me, at 957, that they are in fact close and bid us to have a good night. I've always been taught in customer service that if there are customers you don't close until they are happy. All I wanted was a dipped cone. Sad. read more

I don't like to leave bad reviews. But people need to know. I stopped in here for a small blizzard add around 2 PM on a Monday. As I waited five minutes to be waited on (nobody in line but me) I had three different people tell me someone would be with me shortly. They didn't seem understaffed, maybe just under worked. I finally ordered my small Turtle pecan blizzard. I received it fairly quickly. But when I took it out to the car it had no chocolate in it. It was mixed about 1/4 of the way down. And the rest was just all ice cream. The vanilla ice cream had a chemical taste. I noticed that the general manager had 2 awards for the best manager for the last two years with Dairy Queen. Maybe he wasn't there today? What a crappy Dairy Queen! The bathroom smelled and it was filthy. Will not be back. read more

This is my third visit to this restaurant and I will not go again. I used the drive through because it was raining. When I placed my order at the window, I could not understand what the person was saying. I finally got my order placed and after waiting at the window for about 5 minutes, I was told to pull forward. There wasn't anyone behind me the entire time I was there. After pulling forward and waiting an additional 10 minutes for my order, I had to enter the restaurant to find out why I had yet to receive my order. I was ignored upon entering the restaurant for approximately 5 minutes and then had to use my loud voice to get someone's attention to help me. I complained that I had not received a receipt when my debit card was returned to me at the drive up window and I had been waiting more than 15 minutes for my order. They are very unorganized and don't seem to care about their patrons. I will never return to that restaurant again. By the time I got my order which was delivered one item at a time, the food was cold. I suggest that the employees be retrained in customer service and management take an active role in this restaurant. read more
