Dairy Queen has always been one of my favorites since a child. They have all your basic soft serve delight sundaes and their "blizzards" are always yummy! They serve hot food as well as ice cream in most locations, although I never have tried the food food, it's decently priced and they have basic grill food restaurant variety. In desperate need of a sweet treat- I found myself at Dairy Queen Grill and Chill of North Attleboro. The 85¢ blizzard (with a $1 purchase) was nagging at me. So, I ordered a mini brownie blizzard for the $1 minimum purchase so my mom could get her 85¢ dessert. We ordered online, and it said our order would be ready in 10 minutes. We pulled into the parking lot and waited before heading into the drive thru, where we had to wait some more. When we got to the window, they realized they gave our order to the car in front of us, like they asked if she was Madison, and said yes. Liar!! She ran off with our blizzards. So, we had to wait a little more for them to remake our blizzards. The manager or something was utterly taken aback by this act of debauchery. I was happy to see that he took this thievery so seriously. Anyways, I got my blizzard and it tasted pretty good. I think the key is getting a mini, anything bigger than that and you're feeling gross by the 10th bite. My gripe with DQ is that their stuff looks so good in pictures but never quite lives up to the hype I've created in my head. Worst Dairy Queen I've ever been too!! Placed a pick up order and went to pick it up and stood at the register for 10mins and watched the young employees running around and working hard but watched the male manager stand there and staring at female employees butts and not help a single person mind you the place was packed like crazy packed.. A young man an employee went to ask him for help and he was shooing him away and just standing there.. I'm at a loss for words as to what we witnessed. The quality of my cotton candy Blizzard was unacceptable. When I received it, the server did not even flip it upside down when he handed it to me. At first I thought "maybe they're just too busy" and I didn't think too much of it. However, little did I know, the real reason was because the Blizzard was MELTED and runny. It was too late until I realized this since I was already driving on the road. What a waste of money. I have a theory that they prepare these Blizzards ahead of time and store them in a refrigerator. So we pulled up to an empty parking lot at 12:15 in the afternoon. Dead giveaway. The only reason we went in the first place was that we had a gift card. We went up to the counter and subsequently got ignored by the cashier who preferred to have her back towards us. Clearly she saw us there before she turned away. So I had to ASK HER if we could order and with no personality whatsoever she begrudgingly took the order. After getting our beverages we slipped and slided across the disgustingly greasy floor to find a booth. The floors are absolutely disgusting. I feel like I need to go home and clean the grease off my shoes! The food WAS delivered to the table by a nice young man. The only positive thing about this visit. My "salad" arrived with almost no chicken on it and not kidding when I say the lettuce had a grayish hue to it. No veggies to speak of on it either Everything was basically terrible. Even my son who LOVES fast food said "yeah, the food is really terrible". He did not even finish his chicken tenders, let alone the fries. Unreal. Every time I come here I ask for a cover and they always come to the window with it uncovered and a spoon in it, then I say I asked for a cover and they cover it with the spoon in it; I have two issues with this, first off if I take it home and put it in the freezer the spoon is frozen in the ice cream, secondly, I'm far from a germaphobe and think it's unsanitary, someone has touched the spoon (maybe even two people) and you close it up in the ice cream, no thanks, I asked for another one. I have to remember to say don't put the spoon in my ice cream, if someone asks for it to go cover it w/out the spoon lodged in it. It's a turnoff and I end up not returning for awhile. Went Sunday afternoon for Father's Day. The filthy doors should have been a giveaway of what we were in for. The walls and floors looked like they haven't seen a thorough cleaning in ages. I let the staff know there were no clean tables to use, and a young man came over and cleaned ours--but left the rest of them sticky with food debris for the customers just arriving. How many high school kids does it take to make one DQ Blizzard? Eight, apparently. There were seven employees talking and laughing it up in front of the drive thru window, pretending like there wasn't a customer staring at them for five minutes, while one person in the back screwed up the order. The way they laugh and try to avoid eye contact through the glass really makes you feel confident the food is going to be great. Don't get your hopes up though, it is not... even when it's only two ingredients mixed with a blender. It wasn't the first time getting that kind of service there (my fault for hoping this year will be the summer they hire maybe possibly at least just ONE competent worker) but it will be the last time. Don't go here. If you really, really want Dairy Queen go to Foxborough. There's no way the service could possibly be as bad as the North Attleboro location. read more

The owner was there chatting with some older people about how to update the restaurant. I suggest trying to get a liquor license if you can, then this would really be a place to chill! I am a swim coach, and we practice at the North Attleboro Y around the corner. The Monday before Christmas, I called the North Attleboro DQ to see if they could accommodate our team of 35 on that Wednesday. Our practice didn't end until a half hour before DQ closed. The manager who I spoke to, Tim, I believe, gave me some great guidance, so I limited the choices for the kids to three types of Blizzards and had them tell me what they wanted. Tim finished the call by saying, "We are looking forward to seeing you! I am so happy you picked us." So kind and helpful. On Wednesday, I called in the order. When we arrived with just 10 minutes left until closing, the order was ready, the entire team working pulled together the spoons, napkins boxes carrying the order. The manager on site that night, Sam, again, was so very appreciative that we came. I recognize that we did almost $200 in business that night, but Sam and his staff of high school kids were more than willing to stay at work a few minutes over closing time to help out. Very gracious seeing as the kids had school the next morning. Bottom line, the North Attleboro DQ is very welcoming and extremely helpful in coordinating and executing this request. A surprise and a very enjoyable experience. First time back in a very long time. First time ever at this location. I got the five buck lunch. The fries were hot, crispy, just the right amount of salt. The bacon cheeseburger was surprisingly delicious, well balanced. The bun was very fresh. For an extra buck you can turn your sundae into a Mini Blizzard. I tried the Salted Carmel Blizzard. It was really tasty, lots of chunky goodness. And yes, they turn it upside down right in front of you. The staff was very polite and supper friendly. They even walked my meal over to me while I was getting my drink. Stopped in for a quick bite. Sign on the door states that they're understaffed so the dining room is closed. That's fine. Everyone is understaffed these days. We were going to eat in the car anyway. While we were waiting for our order, couldn't help to notice that at least 4 employees were working the take out window. Lots of workers behind the counter getting the ice cream orders, too.
