I moved to the area a few weeks ago and a friend recommended flannel cow. Dare I say, I've already been three times! I would go every day if my stomach tolerated dairy better. The staff member was nice and patient when I was asking about different flavors and testing them. I usually stick to simple flavors but I was intrigued by the signature flavors because the titles were catchy. I went with the snow melt on my first trip, it's a vanilla ice cream with swirls of caramel and brownies. Delicious! The texture was mouthwatering and plenty of toppings in each bite. I loved the cute little touch of the animal cracker on top. I was so impressed that I went back to try a chocolate frappe, again so good! You can't go wrong with homemade ice cream and good service. Stopped in for an end of school treat and we were very happy! It's tucked away off the main road, so you might pass right by and not know it. The lobby area isn't open, only the outdoor ordering windows, but there is a sitting area outside with several picnic tables. They have both soft serve and house made ice cream in a ton of fun flavors, including seasonal specials. Their junior sizes are generous, definitely enough for my middle schoolers. They have frappes, ice cream floats, and other fun treats like chocolate dipped bananas and ice cream sandwiches. We really enjoyed our first time there! read more

The best local ice cream !!! The Flannel Cow was a great turn of events when it opened a number of years ago. Many local icream shops had closed, and handmade ice cream was rare. Flannel Cow was a nice change. Whether sugar free, low fat, frozen yogurt, Italian ice or more, all are available with the signature cow animal cracker. There are tables with umbrellas in the back in a nice garden area. There is a private parking lot shared with the fitness studio next door. One can use the walk-up window or walk inside. The ice cream is great and the staff do a excellent job. We will continue to return to this great place for ice cream. read more

Just love the ice cream! It is so nice and creamy, it's just awesome. I was there on Monday early evening around 6:30. The line wasn't too bad. The wait can be bad at the Cow. I think I ordered a different size from previously and it was a lot bigger (which I didn't mind.) The size was so large it took up half of my cone and the weather being hot and humid didn't help and I had to put it in a dish which I'm not a fan of. I like the cone experience. The service can be hit or miss with nice servers. Today not so nice a server. Still worth it for the delicious ice cream. read more

Our new favorite spot for ice cream! Online ordering and curbside pickup are easy. I love the frozen yogurt, especially the Oreo and chocolate peanut butter. Yummy! Our first visit - very impressed! Excellent ice cream, very friendly and helpful service, good flavors with a few interesting ones, and even shaded outdoor seating. I had the strawberry Oreo (OMG!!!!! SO good with strawberry pieces and wonderful flavor, plus plenty of Oreos) and a triple chocolate flavor that was also great, with big chunks of chocolate. It was an excellent combination, and my cone was not hollow. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors. The only things I might change are to put the flavors further out to where you wait in line, or make the writing larger, and to put a description of the special flavors out somewhere. Stopped in on the first Sunday night of summer. Got there about 10 min before closing time, as did what seemed to be a bus load of other people. Despite this, they team functioned seamlessly and had the line moving smoothly. Upon walking in, you're nose is first to realize there is a pending delicious experience. The freshly made waffle cones and waffle bowls fill the air with their aroma. The menu has many choices for flavors of hard ice cream, but not an exhaustingly overwhelming list. They also have soft serve, frappes, sundaes, etc. I opted for the coconut & almond chip (junior scoop). The sight and smell of the waffle cones got me. I had my ice cream served in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. It was delicious! The ice cream flavor was spot on and the fresh waffle cone added a great texture (soft and chewy rather than stiff). They also have their flavors in pints to go, prepackaged in a cooler in the store. That's going to be a definite next time. There is also some seating in back per signage. I had to get something at the Christmas tree shop in Foxborough and Mike is kind enough to drive me. So I returned the favor and brought him out for homemade ice cream not far from there. Of course he got his usual root beer float which is a can of root beer with soft serve vanilla. I really think you can't go wrong with that but I don't think you can get much better either. I got a cone of coffee ice cream and I have to say it's the best coffee ice cream I ever had. It was so creamy and such a great coffee flavor that I absolutely loved it. Visiting from out of town and looked at Yelp for good ice cream recommendation. Flannel Cow came up and was a great suggestion! The ice cream flavors are very unique. I tried a limited time flavor (Luke's Coolie Monster) which was a great chocolate ice cream loaded with a variety of cookies and chocolate chips. I got it in a cup, but would now recommend a cone. The ice cream has a dense consistency (think chewy caramel) which doesn't scoop off easily with a spoon. Would be much easier to lick/bite from a cone. They are serving via outside windows and limited lobby access so good foe social distancing. Great place, locals are lucky to have them! read more

Cute spot for ice cream. I've been craving Maple Walnut so that was my choice going in but then The Flannel caught my eye. It's one of the limited edition flavors made of strawberry with Oreo. Luckily I was able to try both by splitting my scoop. The Flannel was a bit too sweet for me. Ice cream was creamy and natural tasting. I would have preferred if it was a little harder and colder. Lots of options on the menu. I like that they have tiny and junior scoop sizes. Plenty of parking. Bunch of tables in the back. I did not see a rest room available.
