This is a decent and fairly quick stop when we're heading down to the Lake of the Ozarks. The food is usually good, and the restaurant is clean, which we always appreciate. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 4 because during our last visit, my card was charged an extra $10 and some change a day after we ate there. We received a receipt showing only the $22 we paid for our meal, so the extra charge was unexpected and confusing. I still have no idea where it came from. The meal itself was a great deal for two people, but the surprise charge left a bad taste. If we do stop here again we will only be using cash. Overall, it's an okay place for a quick bite, but I'd definitely recommend keeping an eye on your card transactions afterward. read more

From the moment I sat down, he was friendly, attentive and made sure every thing was perfect, and every thing was. He checked in at the right times, and had a great attitude the whole time. Went to order a chicken basket for 719 was charged 759 when asked about it the person working the register had a bad attitude saying the manager was busy and if i wanted to wait she would talk to me inquiring more about our bill just gave us more bad attitude so just asked if i could have our food because it was sitting ready. The person working the register, the one that had waited on us, showed even more of a bad customer service and practically slide our food off the counter. This definitely not a good visit and will be a little time before I visit again sadly. read more

Going to the Dairy Queen should be a fun event, however it was just the opposite today. My husband and I placed a very simple order,a large chocolate ice cream cone and a large crunch vanilla cone. It appeared as though there were no adult managers within the business today. The young lady at the register was laughing with another young man who was carrying his Dairy Queen uniform with him. He realized that we were waiting and we then placed our order. Again a very simple order. We stood and watched "several" minutes when a chocolate ice cream cone was passed around to three different employees and was finally placed on the counter and after several more minutes someone realized that the vanilla cone sitting on the counter was supposed to be a crunch cone. By this time we were angry.....no two ways about it. My husband asked if they would make another chocolate cone since the one on that had been sitting on the counter that was offered to him was melting. Another chocolate cone was created that was half the size of the original. We had more than we could take and left...., clearly put out. So $6.03 cents for two cones was not worth the trip today. We have no Dairy Queen in our small community so coming to your location is a treat, but not today folks .....not today. It's great to have kids working in a business if you have a good manager. We could have purchased a gallon of ice cream, taken it home and by-passed your business. The point is.....we didn't! We like all the variables at Dairy Queen. But it will be a long time before we frequent this particular Dairy Queen in the future. Someone needs to get a handle on the workers here.
