On the way back from the Lake, we stop here for a bit to eat for dinner. Located downtown Sedalia. Quaint small town feel to the place. Historical building. Courthouse across the way. We opted to sit outside for dinner. This was around 5pm on a Saturday night. Group of 4 people. It was not too crowded. First time here and first impression, they need to give the place a little extra attention. Outside seating area needed a wipe down. It was dusky. Sitting there I noticed the spotted window. The waitress or hostess was attentive but I did have to ask for utensils and didn't offer to bring any condiments. Food came out and the group was not too impressed. Two people ordered t Nacho, fixed the way they like it. Comment on the nachos was that it wasn't all that great. One person ordered their taco pizza . She said it was horrible. Cold and just stuff throw together. I ordered their pork tenderloin sandwich with waffle fries. My food was warm to the touch and the sandwich was good compared to what the others had. read more

I'm from out of town, so this was a 'first time' visit. The decor is fun. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately! The tap selection was pretty good, with a couple of craft choices I'd never tried. The menu was very extensive, and quite varied. I really liked their mac'n cheese balls with smoked gouda! I really enjoyed the potato skins. They way they cut them was just perfect size bites. They served it with ranch which I swapped for sour cream. One would think you cant mess potato skins up but I have been to places that have. Although I really enjoyed the skins, the gyro bowl was mediocre. Its served on a bed of jasmine rice with tomatoes, onions, feta cheese, the meat and taziki sauce on the side. It was bland and not must taste to it. I know Sedalia isn't a culinary nexus, but the food at Fitters is best consumed through a haze of alcohol. Because my friend and I chose unsweetened iced tea (vaguely orange but not tasting like tea) we didn't have that advantage. Pub food of a mediocre sort: I had a grilled chicken bowl which combined frozen vegetables with chicken that hadn't been cooked recently . . . you get the idea. My friend's Reuben sandwich was, he said, unimpressive, but he is kind. Maybe the burgers are OK. But anything more than that is pretty lousy. Restaurants are supposed to make food that's better than what you could do for yourself. Not here. read more

The nachos were awesome, plenty of cheese and toppings. The BLT salad with the house made ranch was very good. The burger is what dropped the stars, it was only warm and even though it was dripping grease/ juice the patty was dry and was lacking flavor. The seasoned fries were a little salty for my taste, but I am sure it is a quick fix in their process. The service was very good, fast friendly and efficient. When we explained first time there, our waitress was very helpful in guiding us to good food. It was kind of like a cross between a family neighborhood hang out and a college bar. Stopped in for a drink, food and WiFi, disappointed in all 3. Ordered a "Cuban" and the bread was super stale. Bartender didn't know which network was for guests and once I figured it out it didn't work. Drink was fine, I'm not fancy, it just changed flavors between the 1st and 2nd round. Save your money!Here on a Saturday afternoon, casual dining with historic feel. Server Cassidy was pleasant, however forgot to give any eating utensils, received them after all food was served, and on the 3rd request. The onion rings were undercooked and had the consistency and TEXTURE of greasy cheese sticks, gooey. Salad was warm, nothing spectacular iceberg lettuce, tomato with shredded cheese that tasted like powder. Salad bowl was served on top of an open face burger, therefore most of the cheese melted to the bottom of the salad bowl and onto the table. Burger was completely raw with red juices served on the plate, dripping in grease. I sent it back, they reheated the same burger and it still was not thoroughly cooked. I don't know what kind of buns those were, but they were stale and gross. They served a buttered old stale bun with raw meat on it, with a warm side salad. Server was more interested in her friends and shots than serving. $38 was definitely not worth it and a total waste of a dinner date!! read more

I wasn't expecting to shell out a 5 star review for a random bar on the streets of Sedalia but hey, here we are. Not only is the food massive here but it is good, we had the best time here and were well cared for at the bar even with an absolutely MASSIVE order 30 minutes before the kitchen closed (Sorry by the way). Fresh from a wedding out at Heritage Ranch we were looking for a nice place with air conditioning to settle down and unwind from the stresses of day and this place provided that. Great food, great drinks, great people. I hope we can stop by again in the future for another stay, maybe if we come back to MO we will make it a point to visit the town just for this. read more

This is a perfect stop for lunch in the heart of downtown. From the outside porch, we watched life in Sedalia go by, including the County courthouse. Our server was spot on with refills and anything else we needed. A thunderstorm chased us inside and we continued to enjoy our meals. The interior is attractive. Downtown Sedalia is like a back lot movie set, with restored 1800's buildings and businesses beckoning locals and the occasional tourist. Fitters fits right in. read more

Cheap drinks. However go during the night shift. The bartender who is kind of young always wears the backwards hat is a complete and utter douchebag. Been a few times when he works and his drinks are either watered down or all juice no alcohol. Never have I heard an employee tell a customer "well f*ck you!" This place doesn't seem to care about guest experience or customer service yet alone manners and common decency... I truly want to like this place but he makes the experience miserable. Food was delicious and margaritas the best. However, I paid with my card and the amount that came out was higher than I wrote on the receipt and signed. Guess the server wanted a larger tip. I tried to call the manager several times and was never able to talk with her. IF I ever go back I'll be sure to bring cash (which I doubt I ever will). Even during the day. I am a fan of BBQ (clearly) and I tend to be very picky. The pulled pork was highly recommended. LET ME TELL YOU- this God-sent finely pulled pork is the best I have ever had (besides mama's). It was served on a Kaisers bun and served with a side of my choice- I upgraded to corn nuggets instead of the traditional fries. Christina served my food with Midwestern hospitality (her mama taught her well). My drink was never below half, I got extra sauce, and she checked on us just enough- but not annoying. read more

Food was good, service was terrible. After waiting 10-15 minutes to get our order taken, I had a bug in my drink. They did not offer to compensate anything our server said "we remade the drink." It should have never had to been remade cause there should have never been a bug in it, I did not want everything free I just feel there should have been some type of compensation offered because if I was to post a picture on social media of the drink I'm sure they would offer something then.
