Food was clean and tasted great. Decent service as well. Great addition to this area. Dine area could have been cleaner though.

Looking for Japanese fried chicken (Karaage) in Downtown Toledo at 11:30 pm? THIS is where you'll find it. And it's good. Japanese fried chicken is a lot like American fried chicken, but the batter is a little different. The dipping sauces are similar to American sauces, but, they are a little different. Different is good. You can get said chicken in the form of wings, chunks, 1/2 a bird, or, in a donburi bowl. The menu also has some American (fries, coleslaw) and Asian (kimchi, edamame) sides. Mochi for dessert? You bet. Drinks? Pop, beer, etc, and sake! Service? The service was very friendly, fast, and accurate. Tommy and Sam run the place when the Main Man is elsewhere. They do a great job overseeing the service and the cooking. The atmosphere is similar to Kengo's other places on the same street. Intimate with bare brick walls. Seating is designed more for quick service and higher throughput. There are a few tables, but most people sit at one of two bars. Great music (Beastie boys and Tupac playing overhead, but not too loud). 4 stars for the food, and one more for being open late! 5 stars!

Only down side was the inebriated woman at the bar who wouldn't stop talking to us, but really nothing could be done about that.

OK, I don't want to come off in this review, sounding like I didn't understand the business model…read moreor proof-of-concept of Mr.Beast Burger. My children pleaded with me to order it, namely because of the assumption that their affection for this YouTube philanthropist would easily carry over into the fast food burger realm. Unfortunately, it did not. I have already read many reviews complaining that the food was cold, which I feel is a tad bit unfair considering Mr. Beast exists solely as a delivery food option. It's like 12° out, and the food is delivered almost 20 minutes away. Of course, it's going to be cold. So the luke warm to frigid temperature of my family's burgers tonight were certainly not the criteria I am using to judge. For those who are unaware, Mr.Beast Burger relies on other restauranteurs To make their food and door delivery services for the rest. In theory, it's genius. This YouTube sensation gets to label-slap his name and brand on a simple burger recipe all across the country and has built-in promotion from the 55 million followers he has online. So, if you are a Toledoan hoping to find a brick and mortar MrBeast restaurant to visit, of course, you will not find one. The delivery time for door dash was pretty decent, nearing 30 minutes. As soon as we opened the paper bag - if he came pretty evident that this online business exist in reality, only in the form of a digital recipe alongside massive rolls of MrBeast stickers given to local employees to stick on generic wrapping and generic bags to give the illusion of a franchise. Regardless, the true testament was the food. Aside from the temperature as previously mentioned, the Mr. beast burger was decently pleasant, with a mixture of Beef patties, American cheese, ketchup, mayo, pickles, and brown mustard, all rammed between soft buns. The pictures on the menu, of course look delightful. I expected the real thing to look like a squished mess, but it even looked less desirable than I imagined. Luckily, the taste of it was pretty acceptable. Scoring no higher than a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10, the Beast burger was definitely appetizing, despite its poor appearance. However, that's where the niceties stop. My son had the Chris burger, which was advertised to include bacon and french fries squashed atop a burger patty. But he found the bacon to be excessively chewy and almost under cooked. His patties were thinner and were much more overcooked and tough than the beast burger. The fries were the worst. Not only did they suffer the most from the chill weather outside, making them not even remotely warm, but many of the fries seemed completely under cooked. Almost like they were slivers of frozen potato. In conclusion, if Mr. Beast Burger existed as a brick and mortar restaurant that I could visit in the summer, guaranteeing a piping hot plate that could be easily returned if undercooked, then this YouTube-turned-burger sensation would earn at least a moderately respectable review in my mind. But considering it's status as delivery-only, I highly forewarn Toledoans from rolling the dice on a risky concept that banks its success on pre-existing marketing from a world dependent on social media than on the quality of it's food and service.

I would rather drive the 45 min one to bowling green for there's then ever eat from this one again........and it really disappoints me that I paid 50 bucks with delivery for such a horrible meal that I didn't even end up eating.

I loved the paprika and sour cream sauce. I ordered the roast beef sliders with the horseradish aioli on the side. They were amazing! I wish I could cook roast beef like these sliders. Her partner at the time was deeply into pickles. And Packo's is almost synonymous with pickles. If there is any doubt, stick your head into the gift shop. As good as everything is, the pickles may be the best part. For the sake of full disclosure, I am still continuing to dial in my perfect order at TPs. I think I was pretty close on the last trip with stuffed cabbage and a Hungarian "hot dog" with chili, onions, and mustard. Personally, I find adding this cheese to these hot dogs does not add much beyond calories and fat (and not the kind of fat that equals flavor, there is already plenty of that in the sausage and chili). But the hot dogs come with pickles. And they are magnificent. It's kind of like the fun that comes with eating shishito peppers. You never know which one is going to be the spicy one. The spicy ones are especially delightful. One of these days I'll get the fried pickles. I am sure they are divine, and may bring the place up to 5 stars. But I need to bring a crew with me, and regrettably, my family just isn't into this type of cuisine. For me, the stuffed cabbage tapped into some ancient ancestral memory and brought me an unreasonable amount of joy. So it goes. Personally, I found the pierogi to be a bit dry, but my basis for comparison is Polish. Perhaps this is precisely how pierogi are prepared in Hungary. But the bottom line is that Tony Packo's is a regional treasure. If you haven't been, go. If you've gone, visit them again. These are trying time for restaurants and if we do not support them they may shutter. That would be a tragedy.

Good God, what a cluster f*#^…read more.. I was coming home from work and didn't want to cook dinner. I decided to get some tacos, just plain, soft tacos. 3 plain, soft tacos. There was 1 person in front of me and maybe 5 cars in the drive thru. It was probably 5:30 in the evening - dinner time. When the person in front of me got her order, she said she waited 30 minutes. I noticed that the drive thru customers were now backed up to the street and there must have been 10 people in the restaurant. They had 1 food line operating with 2 people on the line. The other line was set up, but nobody was making food. There were 2 folks working the drive thru. I'm not sure why it takes 2 people to work the drive thru, especially when they're only getting food to the customers every 5 minutes. So the 2 people on the line are trying to keep up and the drive thru folks are doing nothing. The manager didn't seem to care - no sense of urgency, no apologies, nothing. After a 20 minute wait, I finally gave up and asked for a refund. Sounds simple, right? The "manager" asked me for my receipt. I explained that I had to use one of the kiosks to place the order and it didn't offer a printed receipt. I didn't want to enter my contact info for an email or text receipt, so I declined. That said, I suggested that she should be able to find my order in the queue. She took a look and did find it. Once she found the order, she had to look around for the keys to the register, create the refund and then credit the money back to my card. She did that, but again, I never received a receipt. She did what she did, and just walked away. After several minutes, another employee came up and asked me what was wrong. I explained that the person that did the refund never said anything to me, she just walked away, and I wasn't sure if everything was done. The person came back and said the refund was complete. I just checked my account and the refund isn't showing at this time. I probably got ripped off. If you're hungry and quality doesn't matter, go down the street to 7-11 and get a roller dog and a Big Gulp. At least you'll be acknowledged by the folks working at the 7-11 and thanked for your business. You'll get your food in under 20 minutes, be totally underwhelmed and probably have the same level of satisfaction with your culinary choice of the moment. At least you won't be treated like some idiot dumbass.
