This DQ was close to where we were so decided to stop by and realized that they had an amazing deal - $8 for a cheeseburger, fries, drink, AND sundae!! DQ burgers are not actually bad for an ice cream company. I liked all of the burgers I tried here. This time I ordered the Mushroom Burger. Certainly bigger than the Big Mac now. It has nice creamy sauce. The fries are perfectly cooked, crisp and golden, just right, not burnt nor undercooked. I like this place. Its small but it's clean. And one of the few places that still lets you refill ur drinks, get ur own napkins and ketchup. They don't ration these things yet. There's plenty of parking on the side streets. One of the last old-style DQs in town. Still a few around but definitely dropping in numbers. Parking is available on the side streets. Compared to other old-school locations, this one is definitely one of the better maintained ones. Staff were friendly. The claim to fame for DQ is their $6 special. Burger, fries, and drink. Nothing too special by itself, but for $1 more the combo comes with a Blizzard. Tasty. The burger and fries are honestly mediocre, but everyone knows those are just the appetizers. The sundae is the main course. Always a good fix if one needs to hit all the food groups in one shot, including the ice cream group. read more

Yet another forgotten fat food restaurant...growing up Dairy Queen was the only fast food joint in the biggest town closest to my small farming community....they still used to serve the burgers with the pickles ontop of the burger held with a tooth pick..and you would tale a number once you ordered and they called you when it was ready...and so I have a soft in my heart for it... When most people think of Dairy Queen they think of the Blizzards and the "cool treats"..while I think of the grilled burgers and the "hot eats"....omg..they are the most under-rated for a good burger and greasy crispy fires.... The Main Street location is like a time warp...it really doesn't look like it belongs on the street and it's very small...like it was just place there in a little box of grilled, fried and soft serve goodness...untouched and perfect just the way it is... Is it wrong that my best friend and I hit this place up more times in the year than we should for soft serve and fries? I am just going to go with it. During that time of month I have odd cravings and the price is right. Staff are as dumb as doorknobs but easily ignorable. So you hit up DQ coz you want some soft serve... imagine when you get your cone it's not frozen, it's a foamy half frozen excuse for an ice cream. That happened yesterday. This location would not accept the mobile offer- stating it had to be printed out! DQ, it's everywhere in Vancouver. this one is a special one I leave a positive comment because it is a good one to visit with pleasant experience. It may not give me the best DQ ice cream every time, but it does give me joyful experience every time! Ice cream quality is above average, good consistency. Place isn't new but clean. Service is always great! No bias at all to the ones who spend only a few bucks or make purchase with coupon. Staffs are young but always give customers pleasant service.
