I went for dinner on a weeknight around five pm. The plusses - Quick, polite service, minimal wait for my meal, good value. The hot and tasteful double cheeseburger and Cookie Dough Blizzard were really good. The minuses - Again, this was around five pm and there was one section with the chairs already up on the tables and closed for the night. Three years ago this was a normal activity during the pandemic, but these days it just gives the place a very unwelcoming feel for a customer. The food was fine but the experience as a whole lacked. I ordered ahead on the website to make it a quick pickup. I sat at the drive through box for 10mins unserved. 5 mins in I said "hello??" And was sharply told "I'm with another customer right now" so I sat and waited the other 5 mins before I got out of line and went inside to pickup my order. Where I was met with a line to the door of other people who had been ignored in the drive thru. Even though I could see my order in the hot window I still had to wait another 10 mins before I was able to speak to someone to be handed a bag. Terrible service. Got a 4 piece chicken strip. Had a tiny handful of fries. Ordered two pecan clusters blizzards. Came out not full and just vanilla ice cream with a few pecans. Went to have them fixed man simply added chocolate syrup and handed them back. Took back again and he said he didn't know how to make it. Excuse me? Your the one making the ice cream sir. Went there today to grab something to eat on our drive back. We don't have dq in our area so whenever we see one on our drive, my kids always request to stop by and grab something to eat. We ordered meals with ice creams included in the meals. When we got our order, we didn't got the ice cream. The server didn't told me right away so I waited. The server asked if I needed anything and I told him that we didn't get the ice creams. Then he said that the ice cream machine is broken and they are fixing it. I hope he told us before we ordered that the machine is broken so we can find another dq on our drive. The server is polite however he still need training on how to give a good customer service on situation when they cannot fullfill the order that the customer placed. I swear the people here don't even know what they are doing me and my girlfriend came up her to get some food and the lady at the drive through took our order and told me the total which was $23 and some change and I THOUGHT I had a $25 gift card but when we pulled up to the window I gave her the card she charged it and told us to pull up to the arrow after handing me back the card and giving us our drinks then about 5 minutes later another girl comes out saying that we still owed $8 and some change. Now how are you gonna be so ignorant that you tell us pull up after charging the gift card to not have noticed that there was still money that was owed, and on top of that she never refunded my gift card so joe I have paid $15 dollars and got nothing but 2 drinks and the want to NEVER give Dairy Queen my business at any location. read more

Wanted to give a shoutout to Tina and the other staff at DQ in Williamston. Outstanding service and friendly customer service. They made you feel welcome the second we walked in. Dairy Queen is always a nice treat, and when I am going to an office with small blizzards for everyone, I receive a warm welcome! The Williamston Dairy Queen is in a great postion, near the hospital and easily accessible off of the highway, or the service road. The staff are super friendly- they actually act as if they are happy to see you and appreciate the business. Blizzards were made quickly, packed tightly, and ready to be delivered. I stopped in for a 5 buck lunch deal. Great value! I ate a Bacon cheeseburger, fries, sundae and drink. Food was very good for fast food. The cashier was friendly and accomodating to a grouchy old man in line ahead of me. read more

This DQ was really really really dirty. We stopped here around 2pm in the afternoon on a Friday. Burger and fry scraps in the seat cracks, dirty tabletops and a dead cockroach in the middle of the men's bathroom floor. Come on, you can do better than this! read more

We were on our way home from Va Beach (9/21/15) and saw the DQ on the sign for the next exit. Both starving and anxious to get home we stopped there for some lunch. It was terrific. The service from entrance to exit was terrific. So friendly and attentive I was taken aback from the service I had received during our stay in Va Beach. They deliver your food to your table and someone comes around to check if everything is ok. Even the other patrons are friendly and chatty. The food was hot and yummy. I didn't realize how hungry I was until my first bite of my bacon cheeseburger. It was so good I "wolfed" it down, which is rare for me. They even wished us a safe trip home as we left. My overall opinion of this place is, I will never forget it. The people, the food, the spotless eating booths - all quite memorable for their excellence. And that is why I will give it my rare "Fifth Star." They earned it in every way. Anytime I am near there I will stop in to feel very welcomed and have some hot tasty food. I'm not sure what went wrong with this DQ, but I ran in to grab a cheeseburger and a drink just before taking my son to a doctor's appointment. I had 20 minutes until the appointment, so I figured I could easily get a burger and make it to the appointment on time since it was a two minute drive. Nearly 20 minutes after I ordered there was still no sign of my food. The staff didn't seem to be doing much of anything other than smiling at each other in slow motion. There was a good sized crowd accumulated, waiting for orders, or for mistakes to be corrected. There was trash scattered around and the empty tables were dirty. The final straw was when the guy who ordered *after* I had ordered was called, and he had to send his order (an entire MEAL) back to be bagged because he had ordered to go and it was delivered on a tray. I ended up tossing my receipt for the overpriced burger on the counter and telling the cashier they could just keep the stupid burger. That was the first time in my life I've walked out of any fast food establishment after paying, but without my food. I don't plan on returning. read more

Since this location changed owners, it has continued to go downhill. My husband and myself took 2 of our granddaughters in yesterday for lunch after church. First no toilet paper in ladies bathroom and the paper towel dispenser was hanging on the wall by one screw. I was afraid to touch it as it may fall. The wait for the food was the longest ever. After eating I went back up to order the special blizzard that is going on down for 1 of my grand daughters. That was at 1:04pm. We saw blizzards going to other customers so at 1:29 I went over to someone at the side where ice cream is done and I questioned that it has been 25 minutes since the order with no blizzard. A man at the register heard me (he later told me he was the manager) and said they were out of that kind. So for 25 minutes did they just ignore the ticket and decide not to come tell us but to continue to make other flavors for others. I wonder how much longer we would have sat there had I not gone back up there. I requested a refund and the manager was very pleasant and said he was sorry and gave me my refund. You used to get fast service with the past owner. The business was always clean. There were things like napkins available on the table. Now you can't find any napkins. The drink area is always nasty looking. It's just not the place that first opened in Williamston. I hear this all the time from others as well. Yesterday was the worst visit ever there. The food was good and I won't complain about that. It's very hard to be used to going there when it was run the top notch way it used to be and to go there now with everything so messy. We won't be going back. I am sorry the prior owner sold to whomever that he sold to. It also looked to me that they must be doing away with the DQ cakes. The pages in the book had been removed and the few cakes there were reduced. I have bought many of those cakes in the past. I will miss not being able to purchase more in the future.
