I looked over all the great and plentiful choices, finding the NY Yankee Chicken Cutlet Sandwich (breaded chicken, bacon, melted Swiss, lettuce/tomato, with honey mustard) which looked just right for me. Orders do take a while to come up as each are made to order and there were a few people ahead of us already getting their game day selections. Our orders were out soon enough and we were off to tailgate. At first, I was unsure if they were still an operating business post pandemic, but I returned during working hours on another day and was so pleased to find out they were! The parking lot was pretty full as it seemed several people were eating inside while many were taking their meals to go. This restaurant and bakery is conveniently located in the medical district. There are delicious, fresh made breads, sandwiches, and desserts available daily at such a low and affordable price! They also take custom orders (see my pictures) with advance notice. I was very pleased at what I ordered from here - a chicken salad sandwich on fresh sour dough bread, a bag of chips, and gooey butter cake for dessert. All for $8 packed nicely in a box. It was so hard to choose the dessert as there were about 10 different options, all of which appeared well made. This place is exactly what I like - options for chicken salad, egg salad, pimento cheese... No frills or fancy stuff, just good food that tastes like it was made at home for an affordable price.
