I was at the drive in a few minutes ago. I ordered 3 chili cheese dogs & some tacos. The man repeated the order. I asked him to repeat the order when I got to the window. He repeated my order. I waited forever. There were a lot of cars behind me so I did not check the order. When I got home I got 1 chili cheese dog. I was missing 2. I called the so called restaurant, I was told that I only ordered 1. why did I get 1? Obviously they cant put in the order in correctly &/or count to 3, I spoke to someone who said that he is the manager. He was rude. I will not be back. Food is decent, but the service needs work, they get busy with 2 people up front trying to keep up all the while there's 5 people in the back standing around just looking at you while the front crew is struggling it kills me to watch grown people stand and do nothing. So we had a late night so decided to go through the Dairy Queen drive thru in Gunbarrel city by the hospital, don't want to get it confused with seven points or mabank. Well we ordered two kids meals and three adult meals. Almost 70.00 worth of food. Pull around to make sure everything is in the bags and one of the kid meals had the fries but no chicken so went inside to tell them they left the chicken out, the young man at the cash register went to the manager to let her know and she said "where's the fucking receipt" he said (girl in drive thru) didn't give it to them, she replied "well I know I fucking put it in there so I need the receipt" so I go look to make sure I didn't shove it in my purse which I didn't so I took the bags of food back in and said "look everything is here but this one kids meal has everything in it besides the chicken" this time I said it to the girl who actually took our order in the drive thru, she then goes to the manager and says the same thing the young man had told her and she continues to cuss at the young girl and repeats the same thing that she had said to the young man, I then raised my voice and she finally gave us my kids chicken. I'm posting this on here to see if anyone has a number or anything they know of that I can do. These are young teens working and it disgust me that this woman is talking to these teens like that over a mistake she made considering she was the one back there putting the food in bags. I called when I left to get the managers name and her name is Sally, so Sally if you're seeing this, truly shame on you for being not only unprofessional but so incredibly rude and disrespectful to your employees. You have no business working for the public and definitely no business being a manager. I went to the DQ in Gun Barrel City this evening and wish I had went into the restroom prior to eating then I could have left and not been sick to my stomach. IT WAS FRICKIN DISCUSTING! The toilet was NASTY The sink was dirty. There was no soap in the dispenser, (HOW DO YOUR EMPLOYEES WASH THEIR HANDS AFTER USING THE TOILET) !!!!! I will never enter your DQ again! Went there and ordered a peanut buster parfait. That was a mistake, when you order through the drive-thru all you hear is kids joking around laughing. While waiting for the 5 mins with a pretty much empty DQ I watched them attempting to make it. It's suppose to be 3 layers of stuff. But no this was a huge blob of hot fudge on the bottom with a few peanuts, the Ice Cream and a little hot fudge and barely any peanuts at the top. By the time I got it was already melting as the gentleman kept stepping away from it and letting it sit there. After receiving the blob it was suggested maybe that he would benefit for a little more training. It was met by the slamming of the window by the young lady doing the drive-through. Took the grandkids there for spring break. It was the worst food and customer service I have ever had. Walked in to order and all younger kids working that didnt care about doing there job. She couldn't explain to me why she was charging me for upgrades so she called over another worker and she rolled her eyes at me and said or did nothing. Grill cheese sandwich was not even melted. Gravy was like soup. Messed up the order so I took the food back to counter and had to stand there while the workers just stared at me dumb founded. Bad service and attitudes all around. I read all the reviews from everyone else after I stopped in to eat. I believe the Store Director reads these and is making changes. I visited on a Saturday afternoon. The first thing we noticed is employees cleaning. Like really cleaning. They were not serving fountain beverages as they were having an issue. They had tea and bottled water available. The store manager was obviously off today but was there fixing the issue. She was the one taking the responsibility for making sure it got fixed. The customer service was pleasant and honest. They continued to clean between taking & fulfilling orders. Yes, they were laughing. But they were working as they were laughing. That tells me that they enjoy working together in a fun environment. The constant cleaning told me that they respected their manager...she was not there when we walked in. So don't think their behavior changed just because she was there. I've had issue with many other DQs and this was a pleasant trip. Thank you! read more

I walked into the establishment this evening and not busy. There were 2 girls behind counter and one of them was eating ice cream standing by drive thru. The other saw me walk in and didn't say hello we'll be right with you or anything. Then waited and a girl came from the back to help me . I just ordered 6 small blizzards and then was asked after was complete if I needed a carrier? I said yes please and lids. And the girl seemed like that was trouble for her to do. Then came over with 4 in a carrier and still had 2 without carrier and asked and it seemed to be trouble for to fulfill that request. But she did and then I said thanks and have a good evening. And she seemed to act as if she wasn't wanting to be there . This was my first time in that Dairy Queen and with the way the employee to customer interaction was I will not be coming back nor talking up the business to any friends or family. read more

My main reason for stopping at Dairy Queen anywhere--to get my Blizzard fix! The day I came here, they were doing a special where if you buy a Blizzard today, then $1 would be donated to Children's Miracle Network. Great cause! I will usually get other "sustenance-food" at other places, since there are more (vegetarian-friendly) choices in other places, but I love the desserts here! I usually get some kind of Blizzard, &/or a smoothie-type drink. There were plenty of parking spaces, well-maintained restrooms with at least 2 stalls, plenty of tables in the eating area, & at this location there's even a playground for the kiddos. This is definitely a Dairy Queen location where I would like to return for my Blizzard fix in the future! read more

Went in there 2 nights ago to get a burger and a biscuit also a blizzard. First thing is this place forever to make the food and I was literally the only customer there 2nd the burger was cold in the middle like super cold and frys were also old and cold so I threw out the burger said I'll just eat my chicken biscuit and it wasn't even cooked all the way WTF? Gun Barrel City has a LOT of terrible restaurants with terrible service. This place is exactly that. This restaurant is where the expression "We got Gun Barreled" came from. When you get "Gun Barreled," It will take them FOREVER to get your food and it WILL be wrong. Just don't do it, go to the one in Mabank if you have to. read more

Is there any way to give less than one star? Short of it, they can't hear orders correctly in the drive through, can't get orders correct, and absolutely horrid customer service. Ordered two medium blizzards, was handed two smalls at the window. I asked the girl if they were out of mediums and she said "no, we have mediums." I responded "I ordered two mediums." Her response..."Well, you only got charged for smalls." Then she just stared at me. I go around and park, take them back in and told the shift leader that I needed this fixed, and as I finish, you see the little drive through girl turn and yell "he paid for smalls!" Shift leader then says oh, ok I'll just have to charge you the difference. At this point, 15 minutes in the drive through line, and their mistake, I was in no mood to go back out to my truck to get my card. Took them another 5 minutes to process the damn return. I knew I shouldn't have gone there after all my friends had posted horror stories on FB. At this point I believe this business is only still open because it is a front, or a strait up old fashioned tax dodge. On more than one occasion coming to this location specifically, I have experienced horrible customer service. The wait times are outrageous, especially to spend as much time waiting, and the food is just not that good. Someone needs to clean hpjse and start over with a new staff and teach them some damn customer service! There are 3 more locations in the area, and I can assure you that they are not all this bad. What a pitiful shame. By the way, the strawberry lemonade I asked for abd was corrected on that is was a strawberry limeade the girl made wrong with cherry...and the managers excuse for a half hour wait to get a cheeseburger anf strawberry limeade was that they were tge only two working....10 bucks I most certainly will not be spending here ever again.
