Was out and about roaming around Ennis and looking for a place to grab something to eat. I asked a local and got a bad recommendation and after roaming I stumbled across this little spot. So they have inside and outside seating, they aren't the larger establishment but they have a vibe and everyone was extremely friendly. We walked in and were told to take a seat anywhere we wanted. The waitresses came to get our drink orders and I'm gonna admit that I wasn't fond that there wasn't a menu, she basically named off a few "drink specials" so in doing so I didn't know the price of what I was ordering. We went with two margaritas - one frozen and one on the rocks with waters. While waiting for our drinks we looked over the menu and decided on the oysters, crab cakes, as well as one of the seafood specials (however once again there wasn't a price on the menu for the special). The waitress came back with the drinks and showed us on the wall the prices for the specials as they change and she assured us that it was big enough for us to share. Our appetizers finally made it to the table and I'll say this, the oysters I'd drive back for as they were huge, plump and delicious - I could have made a meal out of them - the crab cakes I wouldn't order again and regretted having this time. Why you ask - well to begin with they were burnt on the bottom - like black - they were mushy in the middle - there were no lumps of crab to make you feel like they were special, for all I know it could have been a tuna cake. Seriously, I regretted this one. The entree came to the table and she was right, it was enough for us to share! The one thing I didn't care for - this is a me personal thing - is that there butter has minced garlic at the bottom and eventually it becomes more garlic than butter - if they are trying to infuse the garlic it would be nice if they would strain the garlic out so im not eating chunks of garlic. The shrimp on the platter were a little over cooked for my liking and my sister was happy we went with the mild because she's not one for spicy and it offered some spice. Overall we had a good meal, we left stuffed and we would come again for the oysters. It's definitely worth the stop.

Lb crab leg and half lb shrimp with garlic butter

I had the lb of crab legs and half lb of shrimp with garlic butter. Not very garlicky but nonetheless very tasty. Didn't get a drink but the bar seemed to have a large selection of drinks. Good place. Clean bathrooms too.

The food was not good. My drink was overly sweet. Everything was way overpriced for what it was.

No longer a food stand, this place has it all! You will be transported. We were. Terrific music…read more Tropical colors. A cute exterior. And the menu at El Santo Kamaron is wonderful. It has photos of everything. I love ceviche and I had a very difficult time deciding. Ceviche, Aguachile made in multiple ways, Coctels, Seafood Tower, Tostilocos con Ceviche! Hacha and all kinds of shrimp. Beautiful Snow Crab. They make trays of items. Bowls. Boils. Molcajete. Ramen noodle bowls. There is Zarandeados style to cook shrimp and octopus. There's Beef, too. Fajitas. Carne asada. Bistec. Barbacoa. Burgers. So, we had our favorites. I ordered a Plato de Ceviche that comes comes with fresh thin fried corn chips and a fish tacos platter (4). My husband ordered this huge Carne Asada Plate. Our sweet waitress was kind and patient. Much of the menu is in Spanish for items that I'd never heard of and wanted to know about. I tried not to monopolize her. There was all this incredible looking food around us! It looked like we were served a very tasty fire roasted salsa Negra to kick things off. Our food arrived fairly soon. My husband's Carne Asada Plate was enough for two. Served on a tray, it came with 6 flour tortillas and he took half of what you see in the photo home. The meat was so tender and the grilled whole onion was delicious. My ceviche rocked. Crunchy veggies and well seasoned and marinated fish and shrimp, lots of avocado and a surprise! Tender bites of octopus at the edges of this enormous serving of Ceviche. It was perfection. Next time I want to try the Aguachile. My only problem will be which one? I opted to take half the ceviche home and jump into a fish taco. There was so much fish, it barely fit into the tortilla. My husband had one too. There were two delicious creamy sauces, Pico de Gallo and purple cabbage. Crunchy enough to stand up to everything, it was SO good. I took the other two home of course. This area of downtown Ennis is so very nice. Plenty of parking. Benches. The restaurant has patio dining but it was much too cold. On a Sunday evening, every table was packed, but we waited just a couple of minutes. Service was lovely. We'll definitely be back. I can hardly wait!!

Had fish tacos and shrimp tacos. They were delicious! The sauces that came with them were very good…read more. Waitress and service were great. We had a group of 10.

Local family owned spot inside of a renovated church. Place has tons of charm with many original…read moreelements intact, but modern at the same time. One of two places it looks like to eat in Founders Row. Came with a group of 7. We stood around the bar height tables and had drinks for about an hour before finally sitting down. The bartender took great care of us despite the size of the group and ensured we had everything we needed. Once we sat down, the real magic happened. We ordered a few apps for the table, calamari, spinach and artichoke dip and alligator bites. I only had some of the artichoke dip and some of the complementary smoked salmon dip they brought out. Didn't want to be too full for the catfish plate I ordered. The artichoke dip was made with smoked Gouda and was great. The other apps got great comments from other people in the party. I ordered a fried catfish plate that came with grilled shrimp, coleslaw and fries. Catfish was cooked perfectly and the grilled shrimp were delicious, great seasoning. The coleslaw is made with cabbage, green bell pepper and apple cider vinegar. Really great combo that worked well. Service was great especially for our large party. Our server who was also the bartender because we sat in the bar area kept a fresh soda water in front of me the entire time, never had to ask. The manager/owner? even stopped over to check in on us a couple of times. Stop in for a great meal, I wish I could return to try the crawfish etoufee.

I indulged in a creme bulla as well - yum! No complaints, in fact it ran like a well-oiled machine. Congrats y'all.
