We got here at 4:34pm order at 4:38 and the waitress didn't come refill my drink and still had not gotten my food so I asked for a manager and told her the situation and she did not say anything but I can take the food off but you would still have to pay for the drinks and then my food was coming out and she said do you want to take it to go but you will have to pay for it so I got up and left. Ordered an appetizer, kids meal & 2 of the 3 for $10 dinner deals. Appetizer was a triple dipper which came out luke warm/cold - we chose not to say anything. Soups came out the same way & we still chose to not say anything. Our shrimp pastas came out and they brought chicken. We told them it was supposed to be shrimp so they took it back. We were told it would be out quick - we still had a bit of a wait. Finally it came out & it was cold & there was a hair in mine. We ended up telling them we were not wanting them to remake it, we just wanted to leave. Just moved here from Austin & I have NEVER had an experience like this in Austin with Chili's. They placed the ice cream in between both soups we ordered so of course it completely melted. Not happy with the quality of food & service. I had to take pasta out of the container to get it out of the grease. 3/20/23 - Is this really Chili's standard of clean? They had so much salt on the chicken sandwich it was inedible. The chips or extremely salty the salsa tasted rotten. They give you more ice than drink. They give you a small amount of broccoli. We visited today. The restaurant allowed a dog to come inside while the family ate. Very unsanitary. No service animal vest/tag, etc. I witnessed the bartender reusing the customer's drink cup. Wow, after sitting down me and my husband waited 10 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order, (2 waters) and waited almost 15 minutes to receive those drinks. We also ordered chips and queso that took 30 minutes... Our waitress had a party table of about 5 people that took up ALL of her time. About an hour in and we finally get our food, a steak and a triple dipper, and it was good so now I'm thinking "this wasn't so bad" and now we had to wait 10 mins for the check after asking. Rarely do I go leave a review, but when I am such excellent customer service, I feel I should call out the service. I walk into the store as they are closing up, but still in time of buisness and Scott, who is one of the managers asks what I need. I ask if I can still make a to go order, and he obliged. Asked for what I wanted, and had the order started. Said it would be a moment before the order would be rung up to pay. As I wait the staff continues closing proceders, as one should expect. ​But they did not ignore me, even if I didn't need much attending too. Then Terra came to take my order so I can pay. Made sure to leave as much a tip I could spare, and she was much pleased. And after just a little more of a wait, I received my food from Courtney. I asked if the gentleman was a manager, asked for his name, her name. And Terra's. All 3 of them are prime example of excellent service. I would have been happy to have just placed an order and wait and let that be that. I would have understood if I came in just late enough that the kitchen is closed and thus my order couldn't be taken, but instead, they took the time and made sure it was. I understand everyone probably wants to head home. Been there, done that. But it's good to see, even in the edges of trying to leave, that they strive for excellence in service above else. And a shout out to the kitchen staff, who upon hearing the order, i heard no sign of complaint from them. I now regret not asking their names, but I hope the management there takes the time to look to see who works at the time of this review and recognizes each of them. I went into Chillis in Gun Barrell City craving a great burger. That was a mistake. Both food quality and service were absolutely horrible and the worst. Had to wait for 7 minutes for my dirty table to be cleaned. Waitress cleaned the table and walked away without saying a word. Another waitress came by after another 5 minutes of waiting and finally took my order. After waiting for over 15 minutes, I dared to ask my rude waitress if I had to wait any longer. She laid into to me in a rude tone that the kitchen was very busy and other people were already waiting for over 40 minutes as if that was a good reason. From then on she was very rude and abrupt and made it clear she was too busy for me. My hamburger was burned and was not anything close to what I had asked for. Will not go back to this place. I could have been ok w the poor food quality, but the poor attitude and rudeness ruined the experience. read more

Me and whole lot of other folks waited about 10 mins before anyone came out to the cars. By the time I got my order I'd been in the parking lot 25 mins and my food was beyond cold. This place is great! Usually busy, buy staffed enough that you don't wait forever to be seated. I think, because it's a national chain, they have standards that most other restaurants in the area don't have (Like the Denny's). Most of the food places in GBC are terrible. Chili's is clean, friendly, fresh food, quality ingredients. The side veggies make a GREAT vegetarian meal and you can even make it vegan. I always get the steamed broccoli, corn on the cob & mashed potatoes. The salads are great too (minus the meat). We've never had a bad experience here and that's HUGE for this area. We also use the rewards system, so we'll get free apps & meals & coupons. Worth giving your email up for that! read more

I grew up at Cedar Creek and I remember the buzz when Chili's opened up. So it goes, it really is like every other Chili's, so I won't waste time rehashing opinions on the food. Instead, I will address issues relating to this particular location. The largest TV over the bar is pretty small. I popped in to watch the game and was relegated to the last chair closest to the TV. Even then it wasn't clear and it was significantly smaller than TVs at other places. The beer was super cold - BIG PLUS! However, the cups were really spotted with little black specks. I worked in restaurants long enough to know that these specks are pretty harmless and the glass is sanitary as it is run through a machine. However, every glass I used had them. The staff, all in all, is pretty good. Kevin has been there a long time, as well as a couple of others. Some of the staff just does not present as sanitary. Whether they are or aren't... It just takes a little effort. Though my service was good at the bar, the staff was incessantly complaining to eachother using expletives regarding the lack of desire to be at work. Particularly the staff behind the bar. Worse yet, as the staff member in charge of the bar was stating "I'm about to just walk out" a very unkempt server said to the bartender "Hey, my customer wanted a tall double. I'd go back there, but..." and the bartender said "I don't give a f*c* what you do." Then the server proceeded to walk behind the bar, transplant the drink to another cup and reluctantly free poured more Jack into the cup and the straw. This place is likely one of the better options as far as a beer and a game in GBC. If you want a taste of chain while at the lake, go for it for that reason too. However, understand that you will get those things with a side of eccentricity. read more
