Cotton candy mini blizzard
Sue S.

next to just salad , we got this place for dessert the staff are young and new so it took a bit for the dude to figure out how to use the coupon / reward on the DQ app but luckily his coworker was able to help him out i got the mini cotton candy and my sister got the orange creamiscle shake and OMG the orange creamiscle was absolutely delicious! the cotton candy was a classic so nothing crazy/out of the ordinary this place does get a bunch of foot traffic so it was busy (makes sense of a sunday night) and there's limited amount of seating indoors but plenty of seating outdoors glad they moved to livingston!

Happy that this DQ opened nearby in Livingston, so we don't have to drive out all the way to Randolph anymore for a DQ sweet treat :) There's lots of outdoor seating available (there's a shared area between the DQ and the other cafe in that part of the shopping plaza). There are a few tables/seats inside, but it's pretty small and just enough room to line up for ordering at the counter and/or picking up from the cold cases. When we go, I'll get my husband a vegan Dilly bar and, for me, usually one of the seasonal, limited time only blizzards. Never disappoints! FYI - The bathroom is all the way at the back of the store, past the ordering counter. I don't believe you need a key or code. NOTE: Make sure to bring cash so you can tip your server because you can't add tip on a credit/debit card purchase.

Chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard

This Dairy Queen has hands-down the best chocolate soft serve in the area. Rich, flavorful, consistently delicious. The store's clean, the staff is friendly, and the location couldn't be more convenient. I want this to be my go-to. But the Blizzard toppings? They're portioned like there's a national shortage. My Reese's Cup Blizzard had maybe two bites with actual Reese's in it. After that, it was just plain chocolate ice cream. You'd think tariffs hit peanut butter cups--but they're made in Pennsylvania. So what's the excuse? And it's not just me. My fiancée gets cookie dough and has the same issue. You need a GPS to find a chunk. It's like playing Where's Dough? in a cup of false hope. A large runs about $8, and if you want the amount of toppings that should already be there, be ready to add another buck for extra. Sometimes they charge, sometimes they don't--but I always ask, just to have a fighting chance at a proper mix. Honestly, unless I micromanage the order, I end up wishing I'd driven a few extra minutes to that very pro-labor, very generous Blizzard coalition down the road. I won't name names--I'd hate for the DQ Portion Patrol to shut down a good thing. Bottom line: this place is convenient, clean, and the base ice cream is elite. But unless you ask for extra and cross your fingers, the Blizzard's gonna leave you cold--just not in the good way.

New location, clean, lots of outdoor seating. My blizzard was really good. The staff was friendly too.

I was omw to Aldi & surprised to see a new dairy queen in the area. Looks very clean and organized inside. There's also seating area in and outside. The worker who took care of me was really sweet. I got an oreo blizzard which was good. It wasn't busy at all but I believe it's because it's fairly new and people might not know about it being opened. I'm sure it'll get a lot traction soon.

My SO and I decided to treat ourselves to an ice cream dinner and headed to the new Dairy Queen. We arrived around 6 p.m., just before a line began to form, so our timing was pretty spot on. There were only two employees working, and with how busy it got, they could have definitely used a third person to help out. We each ordered a different flavor Blizzard--mine was a small, and my SO asked for a medium. When our orders were brought to the counter, I had a feeling there might be an issue, and sure enough, our sizes were swapped. It wasn't a huge deal, but the medium was a bit too much for me to finish. Unfortunately, the line was too long to try and fix it, so we just made do. Despite the mix-up, we'll definitely be back at some point. Hopefully, next time the order will be right!

So incredibly excited to have a DQ near by! Came here on a Sunday night and it was busy - but I did not mind waiting at all! The staff kept the line moving and provided everyone their orders in a timely manner. The ice cream was delicious and I cannot wait to come back to try more :)

Ahh, Shake Shack. When this location first opened up, it was insanely busy. Much like how the…read moreMorris Plains Chick-fil-A was when it got its start. At this location, parking is tight, unless you're coming at an off hour. The Shack occupies a corner spot, slightly near one of the main entrances of the parking lot, so you know their will be minor traffic jams when several incoming vehicles have this place set as the final destination. The inside has a concrete, industrial look. However, with the glass windows, plenty of sunlight can penetrate the place. The bathrooms are located in the back. Then, there are the entrances. There's the front, main entrance, near the register, and the back entrance where you can make a quick exit if needed. It's located by the bathrooms. The ketchup and water pumps are easy to use. As for ordering, get in line, or pre-order with their app. If eating in, you'll get a buzzer that lets you know when your meal is ready. As for food? Well it's Shake Shack and pretty standardized as Shake Shacks go. They have beef, chicken, hotdogs, shakes, fries, and doggie treats. Generally you can mix and match items. Burger with fries? (Single? Double? Triple? With or without cheese? Breaded and fried Portobello mushroom stuffed with cheese? Chicken? Bacon? You want a hotdog instead?--actually their dogs are kinda salty, so perhaps stick with their potato bunned offerings instead). I haven't had their shakes, but legends say they're quite thick. Their fries are crinkle cut, and as far as fries go, they just seem like deep fried potatoes with salt on them, but not necessarily married. When they cooldown, they're much less enjoyable. I've mostly stuck with their burgers. However, I am partial to In-N-Out, and price wise, you might want to consider how much value you get out of dining here. But if you're shopping in the area, or if you are craving some kind of fast food burger, this place isn't a bad option.

They weren't very busy but it still took nearly 10 minutes for someone to take our order. We initially used the kiosk but it wouldn't let us use the free charburger coupons we received from the corporate office for our previous trip in which the food was horribly overcooked. The woman, who appeared to be the manager, told us someone would be with us before deciding to take the order herself because the cashier was trying (slowly) to get other orders together. She then proceeded to quibble with us over what items apply to the coupons we were trying to use despite my wife showing her the email with all the details. We wound up just getting a burger and a kid's meal because it wasn't worth the hassle and my wife lost her appetite fighting with someone over a free sandwich. While we waited, the manager proceeded to berate the cashier for moving too slow during their "busy time" (though we were the only ones in the building) and they proceeded to argue in front of everyone for a good 15 minutes. In his defense, he was trying his best. In her defense, he was moving way too slow. Regardless, that's not a conversation you have in front of customers and it was clear the drama distracted both of them from doing their job properly. My burger was somehow undercooked (a 180 from our last visit) and the fries tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in a while. The lettuce was brown and my daughter's chicken bites were mostly breading. It was a total disappointment but not nearly as bad as a manager/supervisor giving a man who seemed to be disabled an impromptu performance review and threatening to hire a replacement for everyone to see. I wound up feeling horrible for the cashier as the argument extended past us eating our food. My wife sent a complaint over to corporate but I can't envision a scenario where we'd return to this location. I'd never campaign for someone to lose their job, especially in these tough economic times, but the manager either needs to not be in that position or given a lesson on professionalism. I'm all for dinner and a show but this was ridiculous.
