16 handles is one of those places that my wife gets random cravings for. Since I go with her I always give it a try. I like the euro tart flavor and it is pretty unique to 16 handles. I don't find it at other frozen yogurt shops. They are very covid friendly with plastic wrap over all toppings. You don't put your own toppings, the staff member does. The one weird thing is there is no fruit for toppings. Come on 16 handles let's get some fruit in there. Fyi, there are no samples because of covid so you get one shot to get it right. We walked in and there was only the cashier there so I felt great knowing there was no one else around to come into contact with. The toppings were protected by a barrier so only the cashier could put the topping on. Decent selection. Kids enjoyed it and so did us adults. Wasn't told about the rewards app until after purchase. So I came here on national icecream day because 16 handles was giving away up to $5 worth of frozen yogurt out for free but I actually missed it because it ended at a certain time, but it was okay because i actually downloaded the 16 handles app and it gave me over $6 in rewards that I apparently accumulated out of nowhere. So I went down to 16 handles, parking is abundant, there wasn't that many people there, but I was so disgusted when I went in. It wasn't clean and there were ants in the frozen yogurt machines, crawling around (yuck!) the dispensing area. I guess the only good thing about this place was the fact that they give you sample cups so you don't need to buy any flavor you don't want. But other than that, the pricing of the frozen yogurt is a lot pricier than any other ice cream store and the flavors aren't THAT amazing that I would crave it. I definitely will not be back and I'm shocked they even passed inspections (shake my head). read more

I understand that it's froyo, but everything is way oversweetened and there aren't a lot of options that can give you a more moderate ice cream. I've been to other 16 Handles and other store like them before. With the other Froyo place in town closing, my wife and I were excited to have a new local place to get our fix. Today, at about 2:15 PM, we visited this location. There was another couple in there enjoying some Froyo action, and a few kids who came in after us. While at the dispensers, a song comes on (Undressed by Kim Cesarion). First off, the subject matter of the song is completely inappropriate for family friendly establishment, but it was also the uncensored version, which drops the F-bomb at least twice. My wife walked over to the cashier, who was the only employee around and said "If we had kids in here, I would be very upset right now. This is completely inappropriate for a store that is family friendly!" The cashier responded by ignoring her and texting. Will not be returning until this place anytime soon. Edit: typo read more

My kids and I have visited the store twice. I don't have any problems with the service, and we were able to go in and out quickly. It is expensive, but it can be under control if you don't put in too much topping. The reward program credited me with $5 for my birthday, and it was a great treat. Make sure you monitor your kids when they put the toppings, so that you won't get a price shock. I will visit again. read more

I was happy to see a new frozen yogurt shop close to home. There was one across the street we used to frequent but it closed a few years ago. Bonus that it's in the same center where we just ate dinner. As the name implies, there are 16 flavors (hence 16 handles on the machines) including some sorbet. Tasting cups are available if you ask up front. A sign is clearly visible to please only use the cup once. I understand. Some people get obnoxious with the free samples. Different sized cups are then filled with your desired flavor, whatever toppings you want, then you place it on a scale and the price is based on weight. It was amazing and funny to me that this simple concept was like brain surgery to a group who came in behind us. My watermelon sorbet was really delicious! I especially liked the, "strawberry pearls" I put on as a topping. Think caviar but filled with fruity gel. Pretty cool. I feel like 16 Handles should be busier and full of life, with its bright pink and green lettering and array of colorful toppings lining up the joint, but frankly, it's kind of depressing. While there are some good flavors of yogurt to choose from and they're not skimpy on samples, it's just got a sad little vibe to it. I don't understand why no one is ever in here. Outside of that, it's clean and there's a decent amount of seating, both booths and chairs and tables. Benches can also be found outside. They carry Skinnygirl flavors which is trendy, along with your basic vanillas, chocolates and such. There are a ton of toppings to choose from - chocolate chips, gummy bears, tons of syrups, sprinkles, M&Ms -- you get the picture. Definitely good for the kiddies. There's no minimum on credit card purchases which I appreciate. The staff here is lackluster.
