Almost $15 for two medium blizzards and a small dish for the dog. The blizzards were, literally, only blizzards for the first 1/3 of the cup. Also, we ordered Royal NY Cheesecake and we did not get that. There was no core of strawberry in either blizzard. It seems like every DQ has this blizzard problem. You have to order an extra large to get the equivalent of a small. The ice cream sucks without adding stuff to it, so you just have to calculate in throwing away most of your ice cream. I love Dairy Queen and go often, but not to this location. I just got home from the Danville DQ and my medium blizzard was really a small blizzard inside a medium blizzard, like they made a small, realized it was supposed to be a medium and just put the small cup inside a medium cup like I wouldn't notice, which I didn't until I got home and to the bottom of the cup, which sadly came quicker than expected. Horrible worst 10 dollars I ever spent got our order wrong 3 times only to find out I got overcharged for 2 slushees and a hot fudge sundae the worker was an older lady that probably couldn't tell you what color her shirt was Lol we were at the car show my two kids said there slushees were disgusting and I tasted them and it tasted like rocks covered in syrup I should have gone to speedway and bought them slushees there I'm upset because I used to love this place long story short I'll bring cash and buy ice cream at the car show instead . The chocolate ice cream is often out. During our last visit, our blizzards were mixed so much they were runny and the toppings were ground down to nothing. We sat and waited for a new one and watched the young lady licking her fingers between making ice cream for the drive thru. We won't be back. It's truly unfortunate they can't seem to hire and keep good help. read more

My family and I wanted to end our evening with a cold confection so we decided to head over to our local Dairy Queen for a blizzard. We all ordered and after a reasonable wait, our order was ready. Unfortunately, my blizzard was made incorrectly and I politely asked them to remake it. However, when they remade it and handed it back over the counter upside down, the top portion of the blizzard fell out of my cup onto the floor. The counter attendant flipped it right side up, continued to hand it to me, and shuffled away. My understanding of this company policy is that the blizzard is to be remade (which is obviously a hassle with this being the second time) and then free of charge.. neither of these pieces of the policy were used tonight. I'm incredibly disappointed with the service of our local DQ and their lack of follow through on one of their own policies. read more

Went there to get food for lunch. No burgers here so we got a hot dog and chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was terrible. The lettuce was old and brown. The chicken tasted spoiled and after one bite, tossed it in the trash. If I wasn't already down the road I would have asked for my money back. I really am surprised they even considered serving this crap. Based on the number of bad reviews, I think the owner should consider a new line of work. read more

I am sentimental about this particular Dairy Queen - if you grew up in Danville (and perhaps around) you know that it is a bit of a social hub. Each summer when it opened for the season, the small area around would be packed with folks of every age. A stop at DQ guaranteed seeing at least one person you knew, and you probably knew someone working the windows, as well. Sitting on the concrete ledge (there's not indoor seating), watching the June bugs buzz around the lights, eating a frozen treat was quintessential to summer in Danville. It recently got new management, so perhaps some things have changed, but key things to know: only hot food available is hot dogs, chocolate Dilly bars are made in house, and get a cake sometime for any celebration :) I believe it is also now open year-round. read more

If you want a milkshake when you ask for a blizzard this is the right place! Honestly wish i could give this place 0 stars. i've been there twice and both times they told me they could not flip it because it's a little bit liquid-y. and when asked to remake it I was rudely told it would be the same and they would not give me a refund! after about an hour arguing over a whole $20 they FINALLY gave me my money back. Leon & Jo are turning in their grave!! When they ran the Danville Dairy Queen it was the best!! Lines to the street. Well worth the wait!! The Danville Dairy Queen is now a sad Joke!!!! The blizzard I received was not ready for the flip over thing they do. Sad! So I tipped it over when I got home into the trash!! Got in my frig. & enjoyed my cookies & cream ice cream. We like this Dairy Queen. It has lost its "appeal" now that they have added a drive through. It doesn't seem to be as busy now that it is there. We liked it more before it added the drive through as now you have to be more careful walking up to it. The parking is no longer the same. The ice cream is still good and they are nice. read more
