This restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall and there's plenty of parking. Inside is a bit dark since there are no windows but there's a good amount of seating and there is a big bar area that's sectioned off. Our server was amazing, she checked on us often and was friendly. My friend ordered the Spicy Pepperoni Flatbread off their special menu and it was good, you could really taste the hot honey and it complimented the pepperoni. I had the pork chop which came with mashed potatoes and green beans.....so good! It was a thick pork chop and the sauce on it was had a sweetness that was flavorful but not overwhelming. Came to celebrate my birthday dinner and get a piece of their delicious Carrot Cake, it's so good. I was pleasantly surprised to see a birthday card waiting on the table for me. I ordered the Tuscan Chicken which is one of my favorite dishes here. I love the creamy sauce and the blend of flavors from the mushrooms, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. I went to Charbonos a couple weeks ago with my husband and enjoyed the food! We've been here a couple times and they are consistently good! I had the salmon that was perfectly cooked and my husband the pork chop and he loved it. We had the brownie sundae and it was just unbelievable! The staff is very nice, and check on you regularly. Unfortunately, last time we went it took them 25 minutes to come get our order. They apologized for the delay, and offered appetizer or dessert on the house, which was really nice, but definitely something that can be improved. The squid was seasoned well and not too chewy. Two dipping sauces: a lemon aioli and marinara sauce rounded out this starter. I ordered the shrimp scampi. The quality of the food and service at Charbonos is consistent with other Cunningham restaurants. Both are always good here. They have a variety of entrees on the menu for everyone, but my favorite is the Capri Salmon salad. Every time I've had it, it's so fresh and crisp, with some good briny flavor from the capers and olives. Charbonos complimentary bread and oil always hits the spot. The staff at this location is friendly and efficient. My one complaint is that it's a bit of a depressing ambiance here. It's dark with outdated decor. A refresh would go a long way to spruce up the dining experience. read more

Two part review: 1-I had my wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was good. The room was great and food was great. Food was hot, the preselected menu options were good and everyone was happy. Getting drinks was a little difficult, as they were out of ingredients but didn't tell the guests that...they just waited for 20+ minutes because they were looking in the kitchen. Not a huge deal breaker but just a little odd. 2- dinner outside of the fixed menu. Came back for dinner post rehearsal. Ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and they were out of shrimp. Not a huge deal but again same thing of waiting, searching?, and then reporting no shrimp. Filet was delicious, snapper was fine but didn't have much flavor. Overall I would say average. We enjoyed calamari as our appetizer, and of course the fresh bread. The seafood scampi that was on special was to die for. Dinner with a friend tonight and Charbono's did not disappoint! It has been awhile since my last visit and I was happy to see it that it was much as I remembered. The decor is calming and a bit on the dark side. The two of us took a table in the bar and each ordered a Chardonnay - sorry that I don't recall the name but it was very nice. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza - and my friend ordered the Salmon salad. Staff was attentive and our food was out pretty quick. My pizza was very good - lots of chicken, bacon and sauce. In the midst of the Corona pandemic, I enjoyed a fabulous Easter dinner from Charbonos. Pre-ordered my family meal on line and showed up at my chosen time. There were parking spots with signs for the Easter crowd. I gave my name to the 'waiter' and he brought out my dinner. I just opened up the back of the van and he loaded it in. No touch, no contact, no breathing on one another. I knew it was going to be good, since I am a big fan of the Cunningham Group Restaurants in the first place. I have to say $60 for a dinner for 4 is a true bargain. Especially when it included all of the following: 1 Loaf of bread with dipping sauce and tomato bruschetta topping Salads with 2 different dressings and all the fixings green beans, loaded mashed potatoes, with green onions, cheese and bacon bits to top it off glazed baked ham and extra glaze and 4 humongous pieces of carrot cake Heating instructions included of course. And this way everything was freshly prepared in your home oven, without clean up... yay Giant portions, so much so that at least 6 people could have easily been satisfied with this meal. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and it was so melt in your mouth good. The flavors and the warm focaccia bread were on point. But I do have to tell you, after the table bread and the amazing dipping sauce came out you might as well have put a fork in me because I was done. I ruined my dinner that dip was so good. AMAZING! Me and my partner are visiting all the Cunningham Restaurants this year and we stopped in at Charbonos and gave it a try! This wasn't my favorite Cunningham restaurant but this also wasn't my least favorite. My waiter did what they had to do to get the job done, which is perfectly fine, but I expected a little bit more care. The food on the other hand was mediocre, which unfortunately I really really wanted to like it but I didn't. Taste is subjective of course but the food was average and lacked flavor. This was our first visit to Charbonos and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! The menu offers a nice variety of entrees and even the kids menu was packed with hearty options for the little ones. I paired my calamarata pasta with a glass of Riesling. The calamarata was delicious! I will be honest, there was one issue with my food but it was not our server Hannah's fault. I understand that things can happen and she handled it very well. The manager did a great job of compensating for the mishap and they more than made up for it! I chose the tiramisu for dessert and it was perfect!!! We had lunch at Charbonos on Easter Sunday around 1pm. I like the decor and ambiance, it has good character and feels unique. My wife had chicken piccata, I had Chicken Marsala, and my daughter had a cheese pizza. All dishes were tasty, hot, and with good presentation. Even my daughters pizza was made with care and looked great. Service was efficient and friendly without being overbearing. It was also done with a nice cadence to each course. This is one of the first (or maybe the first) restaurant in the Cunningham Restaurant Group (CRG) empire. Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to the expectations of some of the newer concepts from CRG. It seems very dated. The dining area looks like it's trying to be a fancy restaurant in the 90s. The menu is very middle-of-the-road, but you don't pay middle-of-the-road prices. And the quality of the food is just not there. My wife ordered the 6-oz filet medium, and it came out barely rare. We eventually (more on that below) sent it back. It came back almost well-done. And there was zero seasoning at all. We aren't sure if they didn't season it the first time or if refiring it didn't burn all the seasoning off. Or waitress was a basketcase. She was slow and hardly ever came by to check on us. She was constantly chatting up the other waitstaff. She apologized and said she was having a bad day because one of the chefs yelled at her, but then could be heard discussing this with waitstaff. Not sure we'll return to this location because there are so many other CRG restaurants where we enjoy the innovative menus, contemporary decor, and attentive staff. read more

Three stars appear because of the food. The service was very poor, and would have rendered a lower rating. I had lunch with my friend and applewood chicken salad, and a choose 2 (beef sandwich/house salad) were ordered. Both salads were excellent and tasted fresh. The alfalfa sprouts were a great touch. Their ranch was house made and delicious. As far as the service: we sat at the bar, which had 2 other people sitting at it. They made a comment to us after a few minutes saying that maybe we would see the bartender soon. It had been 30 minutes since they had seen her as they sat with empty beers. Eventually, we tried to look for a host to notify and there wasn't one of those to be found, either. When we finally saw the bartender several minutes later, she took our order and disappeared again. At the end of our meal, I waited for her to tell her my number for my CRG VIP points and was tired of waiting and left.
