Lacking a proportionate amount of Take 5 ingredients for a large Blizzard.
    Elizabeth M.

I ordered 2 Large Take 5 Blizzards from the DQ in Dublin. The Take 5 is considered a Premium item that they charge $7.09. Buyer Beware! You are actually only getting a small amount if Take 5 ingredients for a large Blizzard. The rest of our large Blizzards were filled with plain vanilla ice cream. How do I know? I took mine home in a cooler, froze them, then cut the cup away from the Take 5 Blizzard to eat them in a bowl. As you can see only the top of the large Blizzard contained the premium ingredients. Sure they didn't do a good job blending but if the Take 5 Blizzard was blended properly I'd still have a ton of vanilla ice cream with a tiny bit of the take 5 ingredients. We did stir them in the bowl only to find the large amount of vanilla ice cream overpowered the flavor due to the underwhelming amount of Take 5. Come on DQ - Do Better!

    DQ BBQ that disappointed me.

Stale cone and half melted ice cream. Not the typical dairy queen experience.

Alright, let's bring this one all down the line to the current:…read more I'm going to let the music do the talking. For every visit where I've checked in here over the past five years, I've probably forgot to on a 1:1 ratio. I'm somewhere in the ballpark of 40 check ins here, which should give you an idea as to how we feel about DAT. Not a whole lot we haven't seen here over that time. Masks, menu changes, trivia night, music trivia night, brunch, lunch, etc. There are three keys that run throughout. 1. Hands on owner. Nate is very present in some capacity almost every time we're here. Nothing he won't do from seating, bussing, food running to turning the Yankees on a nearby TV for a fellow fan :) 2. The randomness of the music being played. Anything from 60's to 90's rock, occasional R&B, maybe some disco or my favorite from last Wednesday at lunch, Yacht Rock. Nothing goes down smoother than hard cider with grilled cheese and goulash and a side of the Admiral himself, Michael McDonald. Fantastic vibe and hang here every time. 3. The consistency of the menu. The short rib goulash and any of the soup renderings are fantastic. Past that, house made tots, wings, burgers, crab cakes, beef on Weck, links, perogies. It's all so damn good, even though I think the secret weapon is the seafood. Anything done here with crab, shrimp or the seasonal scallop specials are guaranteed winners. I guess to keep 'em honest, if there's one small ding I could bring up it's the pricing. Admittedly, some of the menu offerings are on the higher end of the spectrum but then again, the quality is there and so is the consistency. You get what you pay for. It's a 40-45 minute each way hike to come here and as long as they keep doing what they've been doing here since the beginning, in the immortal words of the prophet Randy Newman: "We're gonna ride it till we just can't ride it no more."

They also came with corn salad which was flavorless. My husband got the fish & chips which was overcooked and dry. The disco fries did not have curds - just a big lump of hard cheese. Disappointing at best.

I love the fountain soda machine that offers a million options , I like the zero calorie sprite options and they offer tops for the to go option. I have asked several times what size the actual patty is and no employee has ever been able to answer the my question do went with the single for lunch today. The burger was very good , the first bite was tasty and you know you aren't at a large fast food chain. I would say the patty was 3-3.5 ounces so a double would probably be recommended if you're hungry. The potato roll was good but definitely a little too big for one patty . The burger is a solid value when ordered in the combo meal which includes fries and a drink. I was hoping it was better than it was and it is not in the same league as five guys or way back burgers, other local competition. Next review will be the cheesesteak!

Today I was lucky enough to meet the owner, really nice guy. I learned that their burgers are always fresh and never frozen, I will have to try one next time. My go to is the 3 tender platter w coleslaw, fries and a piece of Texas Toast. They have one of the fountain coke blend machines like Wawa (less flavors though) and have the Freal Milkshakes like Wawa used to have. Kinda of reminds me of Cluck U Chicken when they were around 20-30 years ago. Highly recommend trying WNB Factory.
