This room sits above the bar and dining area so we could hear the noises and music below. Since it is close to the street, the morning traffic noise from cars and large trucks is clearly heard.

The randomness of the music being played. Anything from 60's to 90's rock, occasional R&B, maybe some disco or my favorite from last Wednesday at lunch, Yacht Rock. Nothing goes down smoother than hard cider with grilled cheese and goulash and a side of the Admiral himself, Michael McDonald. Fantastic vibe and hang here every time. 3. The consistency of the menu. The short rib goulash and any of the soup renderings are fantastic. Past that, house made tots, wings, burgers, crab cakes, beef on Weck, links, perogies. It's all so damn good, even though I think the secret weapon is the seafood. Anything done here with crab, shrimp or the seasonal scallop specials are guaranteed winners. I guess to keep 'em honest, if there's one small ding I could bring up it's the pricing. Admittedly, some of the menu offerings are on the higher end of the spectrum but then again, the quality is there and so is the consistency. You get what you pay for. Another group also struggled to get seated, and basic service details--like checking on tables or refilling drinks--were overlooked, leaving us feeling largely ignored throughout the meal. After seeing how undercooked my steak was, I decided I didn't want another one. Instead, I reordered the BBQ burger. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive until my spouse had completely finished eating. The burger itself was just okay, but the frizzled onions were extremely stale, and the bacon was overcooked, with parts of it burnt. To their credit, management removed the Steak Frites from our bill and gave us 50% off the burger, which we appreciated. However, for the prices they charge, the overall quality of the food and service simply didn't justify the cost. They also charge a surcharge on top of that if you use a credit card. Tipping should reflect the quality of service provided, and in this case, the experience did not meet expectations. If you're going to remain open until 9:00 p.m. and later, there should be enough staff and experienced kitchen personnel to provide the same level of service guests would expect earlier in the evening. Overall, this visit fell far short of our previous experiences. We left disappointed and hoping this was just an off night, but based on this experience, it's difficult to recommend.
