It's been a few years since I have had some good DQ. Today I was out in rockdale and that's what I chose for lunch over other options in town and let me tell you what! It was delish! Everything! Taco shells were so old couldn't eat them. Buns on burgers so dry you could hardly swallow them. No more!

Food is fine. Ice cream is also okay but this is the slowest Dairy Queen I've ever been too.

Smallest taco salad I've ever seen. Service was slow. And food was barely good I'd suggest somewhere else swipe left.

Waited 40+ minutes in the drive through. Had to repeat my order 4 times, the lady didn't know what a double fudge cookie dough blizzard was. Had to explain it to her. Then she gave me a brownie blizzard, like wtf ? There was no cookie dough at all. I was one disappointed pregnant mama. read more

We were driving through town today on a road trip and decided to rest in the parking lot and grab a blizzard. Go to the window and they won't take our order, says we have to call it in. Okay. So I'm sitting in the parking lot, 15 feet away from the entrance and call them to place the order, they say they can't take ice cream orders over the phone despite me being able to see the girl on the phone inside. Are you f*ing serious lol They say to use the drive thru but at this point this experience is just so comical and stupid I'm afraid to even try the drive thru. read more

Came here on my way home from skydiving and we were hungry. Was driving along the road and bam we see Dairy Queen the savior for travelers in small town texas! The food at dairy queen isn't bad but isn't great. It's the ice cream you are hoping for, and the ice cream never disappoints, however the service here was meh at best. Typically you would hope for great service in a small town but they were staffed appropriately from the looks of it, 3 in the front and 2-3 in the kitchen but they seemed overwhelmed. The cashier was struggling and when we paid it didn't print a receipt and they couldn't figure it out (not that I wanted one) but they just struggled. Other patrons were irritated from not getting their food in a timely manner but I get it, they are young and this was probably super busy for them so we just waited patiently and got our food and enjoyed the joys of dairy queen. Service was terrible but food got them at least two stars, just know when you come here service is terrible. read more

This burger ranks as the worst fast food other than a McDonald's inside a Walmart. Hey a yelper has to keep himself entertained somehow. Thing is people seem to like DQ and I don't understand why. Maybe I've not had their ice cream but the food was just deplorable. Nothing about it stood out. So much so that I know I ordered a double burger, fry and coke and the coke was the best part of the meal. Oh boy, another American burger gone wrong. DQ I'm not sure what folks see in you. We waited 30 minutes for a hand dipped ice cream and blizzard, our order had been forgotten. There was one other couple inside besides us. When my husband went to the counter to get our money back it took an additional 10 minutes, and then they never even offered to fix it. I'm very disappointed in the service of the three people working the counter including the manager. I understand mistakes can be made but this was too much. read more

Recently moved to Rockdale and decided to venture out and get food outside my house. Went through drive through a bit of a wait but it wasnt too bad. I get home and very disappointed with the Hunger buster meal. No lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, pickles only lots of salt and ketchup that's it. Fries were very salty too.. I gave this visit a 2 star since my husband liked his steak fingers. read more

I ate dinner here last week; the kid who took my order repeated it correctly & gave me a senior citizens discount (I'm 46) I told him but he claims he gives it to everyone. Alarm bells begin to ring. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger combination meal, nachos with jalapenos & a large strawberry cheesequake blizzard. Sweet. Well I got my cup, got myself the drink & got the blizzard in a few minutes; while I was eating my blizzard a grungy looking old fellow came in (sorry dude) with a little girl of around 8 or 9, they ordered & sat down near me. About five minutes later a young lady brought a tray to their table & the fellow grabbed; a few fries & ate them while unwrapping the burger & dismantling it, obviously with his bare & very dirty hands, I heard him tell the little girl "this ain't mine it's got bacon & jalapenos on it". Well a minute or two after the little girl took the tray back up there I get what appears to be the same tray the old guy just had, fries scattered out & crumpled rewrapped burger & sure enough bacon & jalapenos. I asked the lady about my nachos & she came back with some covered in cheese sauce sans peppers. I didn't eat any of it other than the blizzard. Steer well clear of that place, eat at Lee's Landing down the street or anywhere else but there. Oh by the way, of the four customers in the Rockdale Tx. DQ that night I was the only one who didn't walk up to the counter with a problem so it's clearly of epidemic proportions. read more

My wife always wants Dairy Queen food. We tried it again tonight. We sat 36 minutes waiting on #5 combo and #6 combo. We approached the counter twice in this 36 minute period. Sadly there is something very wrong about their organization. Service is absolutely terrible. After they finally brought our meal my wife could not eat the grilled chicken. It must have tasted awful by the way she looked after the first bite. They did give us our money back. Next time I'll just eat the ice cream. read more

Once again Rockdale did not fail to disappoint. Horrible food. Found hair in my son's fries that we're cold also. Burgers we're not good.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! The girl gave us too much change back so we returned the money. And it made the girl angry. Our order was wrong and when we pointed it out she attempted to fix it and what she gave us was wrong. Didn't get the cheese on our burgers or the mayo even though they were marked as so. well be prepared to order it and repeat correct order 6 or 7 times to have it repeated back to you wrong every time! The Medium cone -kept repeating dipped and changing sizes when I clearly ordered a medium NO DIP! My boy friend ordered the small butter finger. The cone lacked a medium sized cone and Ice cream. This was actually a small cause ice cream did not fit the rim and was not all the way at the bottom -Very depressing and I felt ripped off! Rockdale needs better restaurants and folks that know how to server and cook!! And dangerous going through drive through as an accident waiting for a place to happen with ass end of vehicle out in the street waiting to get hit! read more

Not sure what they are doing to the burgers here but it taste like it is straight out of the microwave. I came in on 10/20/12 and got one of the worst burgers of my life. Steaming hot tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles are not good. Bun is hot and mushy (not toasted). Maybe they are sitting around for awhile already cooked, I don't know, but doubt I will ever return to here. read more

My take-out order was wrong, and when I called and spoke to the manager on duty, Amber, and told her, all she said was that they would try to get it right next time. I never go inside because it's nasty in there or looks it anyway, I go there when I want a peanut parafe or a blizzard which are always perfect, needs a facelift that's for sure and maybe a light at it to make it safer to get in and out of read more
