I don't normally leave reviews, but I had to for this one. This is the best Whataburger I've ever been to. I went through the drive through around lunchtime and I probably spent a total of maybe 4 minutes in it. The girl at the window was really nice and respectful, and when I got my food it was piping hot and the toppings were fresh. I could tell my burger was actually put together well and not just slapped together. It's obvious the manager runs this place well. read more

Despite looking new from the outside, the interior leaves something to be desired. The ceiling and wall fixtures were poorly installed and maintained. And the bathroom definitely has some opportunities. Service and food were normal quality. read more

Our party of three dropped in for a late lunch during our drive to Waco. The interior doning area and bathrooms were clean. There was a lady constantly cleaning tables. All three of us went with chicken strips combo with fries and drink. The chicken strips and fries tasted freshly fried. The diet Coke was not flat. The sweet tea was refreshing. All the employees were friendly. This was a good place for a quick and tasty fast food meal. read more

Stopped in while passing through Caldwell on Hwy 36. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was FAST!! Especially fast for Whataburger standards. Tasted great. Will stop again given how many times I travel this path. read more

Went through drive thru. The lady had a really rude attitude and was very impatient. Then at the window the other lady was just as rude Then forgot our utensils for our meals. Went last night to whataburger in Caldwell. It was horrible. Restaurant was filthy. We had to go to car and get disinfectant wipes to clean the table and seats. The burgers were awful. They were warm not hot. Won't be going back. read more

Food was fine. I came here about the customer service. We stopped in a little early, like they were still cleaning the lobby early. However they still let us come in and sit down to eat. Slightly above average. That is the phrase that I would use to describe this Whataburger experience. Doris was sweet and greeted us as we walked in. The line wasn't long and the food wait was what you expect it to be. If you've been to Whataburger before you know the food is the exact same quality it always it. Slightly above average. Now Open! This is a brand new Whataburger (as of this writing). This is one of the new designs- it looks sleek and futuristic! The place was clean and well lit- I really liked the new design. I came in for breakfast, and got some whataburger jr.'s, and some BoBs. Whataburger always makes it hot and fresh. This is no exception. I was taken aback at the new design- it's a lot of community seating with long benches and bar seating, which is cool- it's sort of a way to force people to all talk to each other and enjoy community company. Dirtiest restaurant around. No employees. 20 minutes for food and still nothing. First time I have ever experienced this at whataburger.

The employees either are too busy playing around and don't care about helping customers. I even tried to call after I got home 28 miles away to talk to someone about my order and never got a response. The order was very simple but still was not right. It is a shame the location could have plenty of return customers but I avoid that location concerned about how the order is prepared. read more

I always stop here to eat. Unfortunately at noon it's a tough waste of time. Parking lot is packed with vehicles and not enough room to park. Only one person at the counter and a big line at the drive thru. Add that to the giant big humongous truck that's going in right next door it's going to be nearly impossible to eat here. It appears that they are going to share common drive ways This was clearly not thought out with the spaces not long enough & barely wide enough for trucks. Zero stars. This is THE WORST Whataburger I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. I have been here several times and they are slow, food is cold and soggy and the orders are frequently wrong. This last visit was the last straw. We arrived at 2:45, not exactly peak meal time, and waited for MORE THAN 30 MINUTES in the drive through. They didn't make any effort to move people up or park people who were waiting on large orders. Everyone just sat....sat....sat....sat. They have two lanes (which they obviously shouldn't bc they can't accommodate that many people with their incompetent service) so we were stuck. We wanted to leave but bc they made no effort to get people moving, so we just had to wait. By the time we finally got our food, the order was wrong, food was cold and soggy, and it didn't include the ketchup we asked for. We didn't have another 15 + minutes that it surely would have taken for the ketchup so we just left. The food was nasty. A hot dog from 7/11 next door would have been better. Whoever owns and whoever manages this location should be embarrassed. The whole staff needs management training. This place sucks and is disgusting. Go anywhere else. read more

I can't believe I came here again. I've had nothing but poor experiences at the Caldwell Whataburger. I'm sitting in the curbside pickup waiting for my food. The app said it would be ready at 7:06 pm and it's now 7:28. Every time I've come here it's been the same....the slowest service you can imagine. Got hungry while passing through town on our way to Austin. Stopped at Whataburger drive through and ordered a jalapeño cheddar biscuit with sausage and cheese. Received just the biscuit so I went in. The manager was very gracious about the mistake and said I don't have to pay the difference even if was only charged for the biscuit. I offered to pay the difference in cash but he declined. I went back to our vehicle and lo and behold, not only did I get my sandwich, I got a free large chocolate chip cookie! This Whataburger managed to get it all wrong in every single department with little or no problem. I wish I had noticed the overflowing trash when we entered. The kid at the register was doing his best but his lazy, incompetent manger had set him up for failure. It took no less than 20 minutes to get our food and it was barely heated up to room temperature. Terrible. The womens restroom was out of order and the restaurant floors were filthy. This is a brand new building!! I don't think I'm allowed to use the words I'd prefer to describe this experience. There's a McDonald's next door. It took almost 30 min for them to make two burgers, fries and onion rings, and the onion rings still had raw batter and the fries were undercooked and mushy. Location's customer service and quality of food has steadily been declining with every recent visit. This location use to have fast friendly service with hot fresh fries. Unfortunately look forward to long waits in the drive thru (with only about 4 vehicles in line) just to get cold fries with your order. Or my recent personal favorite, waiting 20 mins in the lobby just to get 2 cold burgers and a missing chicken sandwich. Asked the cashier for a refund and was told the manager was busy. Well I was excited about the new whataburger here in Caldwell but when I went there for lunch ordered me and my husband and my daughter a meal and I got my daughter the just a kid burger meal and me and my husband got our meals correct but my daughter didn't even get her meal.. she got fries and a cookie they didn't even give her the burger I paid for!! I was so excited when I found out Caldwell was going to get a Whataburger. As a fan of the brand for almost six decades, having one in town was going to be great. Unfortunately this location has never performed and today was my last visit ever. Had to tell the lady at the window what I ordered only to listen to her yell at her co-worker because she had given my order to the car in front of me. They proceeded to remake my order (which too some time). After finally being allowed to pay I was thanked and dismissed without my drink. When I asked if I could have it, I was given whatever was sitting in front of her. When I asked if it was what I ordered I was assured it was. It wasn't. I got two orders of fries (by mistake). Time to write this location off. I've been watching Whataburger's slow demise. It's sad to watch. Try the Dairy Queen in Caldwell. I went in with my kids( 4 &5 and very rambunctious) and we where welcomed and they doted on my children instead of getting irritated or upset at them for being kids. Stopped at this whataburger on the way home from college station postgame. 11:45 pm -Got in a long line, didn't seem like an issue at the time, because it was a double lane. Wasn't until 12:25am that we ordered our food, then proceeded to wait in line until 1:10 when we paid for the meal. We finally received our meal at 1:20. No napkins in the bag, cold fries, soggy hamburger with wilted lettuce. I look at the grill receipt to see that our meal was bagged at 12:30. Meaning our food was sitting inside for 40 minutes before we got it. Simply disgusted by the service and quality of food, not even to get an apology for the slow service. Terrible service, takes forever to receive food and orders are never correct. Ordered through the app went to go pick it up and brought it back looked in the bag and part of my order was missing. Called the store to ask about it and was told to come back and get a new burger. Said great went back and got the food thanked them and drove back. After getting back open the wrapper and the burger had no meat at all. The bread was completely stale and just loaded with mustard. It was a clear F U sandwich. Stopped here to Grab a #2 double meat whataburger meal with cheese and no pickles... and two "justaburgers"... i paid $15 received my food in the drive-through with no catsup for the fries... i asked for spicy and was given 2 packs.. i drove out of the parking lot and unwrapped my hamburger... i bit into it... first thing i tasted and felt was pickles... i opened the burger to remove the pickles and there was absolutely ZERO meat or cheese... no meat on my double meat whataburger and no meat in the two justaburgers ... i turned around and went back, went inside and showed the front clerk the burgers with no meat... he went and got the "manager" on dutie "Louisa" and i showed her the burgers... i told her there was no excuse and i wanted a refund... she refunded me the money and i asked for a regional managers contact info... she would only give me the store main number and told me to call the next day... all the time that her and i were interacting at the front... the two cooks responsible for the missing meat were in the back laughing and giggling at me...
