a hand holding an ice cream cone

On a short road trip to Rochester, I knew it was inevitable that I would end up stopping at a Dairy Queen after seeing quite a few on the highway exit signs. I'm glad that this is the one that I went to! While it's probably straight forward, I was slightly confused by the parking lot layout. It's designed to go mostly in one direction that caters to the drive thru. There's definitely a sign, but I missed it because I went in the other driveway. Anyways, I thought that the store itself had a unique charm, being that it's blue and small, but it did look aged. It came across as different from the ones that I'm used to seeing in the Twin Cities area, and that was pretty neat. I opted to go through the drive thru and was lucky that I got there when I did. A steady flow of business appeared behind me once I got to the window. I thought that the person helping me was very cheerful, which I appreciated a lot. It's always nice to be greeted by a happy individual when going through a drive thru. I ordered a small twist cone that was a little plumper than the ones that I'm used to getting, so I was stoked! The ice cream itself was really good. It was comparable to the ones in South Minneapolis, where the taste of the soft serve mixture is better than others. You never really need a reason to stop for DQ, but if you're road tripping through the area like I was, treat yourself to something here!

For the price and the quantity, I expected it might have been lower quality but everything lookedCaesar Salad amazing. It tasted even better! Especially the Cast Iron Mac N Cheese. It is creamy and comforting with a wonderful contrasting finishing crumb. Then we got beef on top which added a sweet filling protein. I also felt good after eating. I did not feel bloated, even though I ate until I was full. That is a sign of fresh and healthy ingredients. I would come back to try more of the menu at any time!

She never left us waiting for service and offered some great suggestions on the menu. While we know this is a brewery, they also serve batch cocktails, instead of a full bar. We started with their version of an old fashioned, which wasn't our first choice but they were actually tasty albeit a bit sweet. Since the weather was below 0, I craved something hot and comforting. I ordered the Beef Stroganoff which was tasty. Included braised local beef, mushrooms, onions, garlic, parmesan, cream sauce, dill, house-made fettuccini, topped with sour cream. The sauce was light so you didn't feel like it weighed you down. My husband ordered the birria tacos. Beef brisket, white onions, mozzarella, cilantro, corn tortilla, green salsa, beef broth, lime Although they were tasty, they were quite greasy. Prices were reasonable. I would come back again and try the pizza.

They made the entire evening feel special. I had the halibut and the anolini pasta, and both were brilliant and done to perfection. Truly one of those meals where you're already thinking about coming back before you've even left. Latitude 44 also gets an A+ from me for cleanliness and atmosphere. The entire restaurant is beautiful, inviting and absolutely spotless. Wonderful food, exceptional service and a great atmosphere. I can't wait to return!

It was easy to get a reservation and on the day, we were greeted and seated promptly! The service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. For starters, we had the lobster bisque and steak tartare. I will admit I was a little apprehensive when ordering the bisque but I'm glad I did! It did everything I needed it to. It was perfectly creamy and tasty, as well as comforting! The tartare was pretty good but we weren't fans of the EXTREMELY crisp "bread" pairing. The main dish was the Seafood Perlou which was almost perfect (the mussels felt off). The cocktails were quite good as well! There were some curious pairings and mixtures on there but they worked very well! Overall, this was a good experience. It seems like a good place for a first date, or a business dinner, or even a more casual outing with friends! It was good without trying too hard, if that makes sense.
