CB3 Burgers & Brews is an American restaurant in Rochester. They mostly offer burgers, but you can also get quesadillas, sandwiches and flatbreads. We sat outside, on their shaded patio. We got the fish tacos, and an order of onion rings with fries. These tacos were a disappointment. First they were about half empty, second the fish was cut into little cubes and was very hard. These came with tortilla chips on the side. The onion rings and fries came with beer bettered seasoning. This was pretty tasty. Maybe the tacos would have been better, if I got the chicken variety. There are plenty of better places to dine in Rochester than at CB3. read more

Very convenient location and clean! Our food was delicious and the service was excellent! I got the grilled grouper and my husband got the Philly. Both were great! We also got tater tots and they were great as well. They were not greasy and were perfectly cooked. Definitely recommend! read more

This place is a solid option. My husband had to eat a light meal before some medical tests. We were staying at the Kohler so it was just a walk downstairs to give it a try. My husband has the Caesar salad, which wasn't the best he had ever had, but was good. I had the strawberry spinach salad, which was delicious, light and refreshing. Our server was a very friendly guy and it was a beautiful fall evening just to hang out on the patio. Luckily, it wasn't too busy so we felt comfortale to hang around. Came here for a quick dinner after a long day at Mayo Clinic. We were seated immediately by a server who was very kind. Unfortunately, we had a different server who was not as friendly. Was very short and seemed irritated when we would ask for things. I got one of their signature cocktails that was good and my fiancé got a mixed drink. Drinks were decently strong and presented nicely. I got the CB3 burger with a house salad and my fiancé got the gumbo with a house salad. The gumbo did not taste like gumbo at all more like bean soup. While it wasn't bad it definitely was not what he expected. My burger was done medium rare as I asked and was a decent burger. Prices were pretty high for basic food. I would consider the food average but would not go back to pay those prices as well as the ambience and service was not good. read more

Great service and really nice menu. I had the Goosey Lucy and onion rings. The rings were fantastic and I found the burger appealing. My criticism is that the ground beef patty has zero umami and is virtually flavorless. The brioche bun is fantastic the cheese is flavorful...the meat patty is thick but not much beefy flavor. I wanted a beer with dinner, so we picked the restaurant in our hotel. Greeted and sat promptly. Server greeted the table, never said her name and you could tell she didn't want to be there. Got our chicken sandwiches (Cowboy Chicken and Baja Chicken) quickly (nervous about that) and they didn't taste like anything... couldn't taste avocado, cheese, BBQ, chipotle mayo, NOTHING! Server stopped by 15min later to sell dessert (could have used a couple more beers) and drop off the check. Will go back and try burger side but will DEFINITELY get it to-go. read more

This place did the job for lunch at 11am on a Sunday where not everything else was open. I sat at the bar, which was clean, after the server said to seat wherever I'd like. I asked for recommendations for food and local beers. He gave a few and some tastes of beers before I decided on a local cider. I ordered the Goosey Lucy burger, and was cautioned it would be medium in the middle. Both the burger and fries came out hot and hot the spot after traveling. I wish there was more cheese in the middle of the burger but it was juicy and delicious. DONT GO HERE!!! Overall my experience here was terrible. They were clearly short-staffed and so it took 45 minutes to get our cold food. Order wasn't accurate and nobody asked us how our food was. I also feel like I was overcharged for my food. The menu said the burger I ordered was $12 and when I looked at my bill it $14. $9 for a kids cheeseburger with fries? Kinda ridiculous... If you're considering this place I would suggest picking up a six-pack from the local liquor store and running through the drive-thru at Culver's because you'll probably have a better experience. To the management: People come to the Rochester area from all over the world to the Mayo Clinic. Because of this the Rochester area has become sort of a foodie area over recent years. Sat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine and a vodka tonic. The wine was served in a small carafe and a glass. My sister ordered another VT. When we asked for the check, we were charged for 2 VT and 2 glasses of wine. When we informed the bartender we only ordered one glass he said he served two and charged for two. Given this is attached to our hotel, we have tried this place three times. The first time, we sat at the bar and had a cocktail waiting for our table. We waited ONE HOUR for our food to come. Not only did we wait and wait, the server never came to tell us what was going on and there was nothing on the table to take the edge off. Given the fact my son was at the hospital, I had no more time to wait for food. As soon as I stood up, it came. I told them to pack it up to go. The second time, we only came here because a friend was in town and took us there. This was for lunch and it was quite a different story. Serve was faster but the food wasn't anything that special. After the good experience the second time, we were tired and needed food and this was handy so we tried dinner again. BIG MISTAKE. Slow service. Never again. My mother and daughter went tonight. My daughter is currently being seen at Mayo clinic for medical issues. She had a very difficult week of painful testing and this was her first outing. They went in and were completely ignored by the staff. There were several people who came in after them and were promptly seated. No one even acknowledged my mother and daughter. It really made her feel terrible and hurt her feelings. She is in wheelchair and is very sensitive about it. What kind of people treat paying customers this way??? Shame on you!!! I dont recommend this place to anyone coming to Mayo. They are not friendly and are rude to people in wheelchairs. Update: my daughter has not left her hotel room this weekend thanks to these horrible people. She was making so much progress and feeling very optimistic about her recovery. This spot has a great location in downtown Rochester and is very visible. When I entered, I headed to the host station and waited a good bit before anyone would sit me. The place was practically empty for lunch. It took a while for the server to get my order and I could overhear the servers complain about other customers. Bottom line...get your customer service act together. As for the food, it didn't blow me away. I got a basic burger and fries. I am staying at the hotel that is connected to this restaurant. I ate here 3 times and it was terrible each time! I only gave it 3 chances because it was so convenient and I did not rent a car. My first time I got the portobello burger with fries. Both were cold and mushy. The next time I got the cheese "thin" crust pizza. Yeahhh the crust was NOT thin at all and was grossly doughy! The cheese/ dough were white with no color. When I picked a piece up it was floppy and just gross! They also had ran out of pizza boxes, so they gave me 4 foam boxes to contain the disgusting slop! I also ordered the apple "crisp", it was not baked and was again mush. It was topped with a raw mushy oats and it tasted like I was eating apple oatmeal. I threw it all away. The food had taken so long that I didn't even bother to take it back. I am being seen at the Mayo Clinic and have early appointments. Also I am pretty sure anything they would have made would have been the same kind of gross mush. I got food there one last time because it was late and all the other surrounding restaurants were closed. I got the Bruschetta pasta and a side of French fries. The pasta was supposed to be angle hair pasta in a cheese sauce with "bruschetta" topped on it. First thing I noticed was that the portion size was not worth the $12 I spent on it. Second thing was the pasta was broken when it was cooked, so it was short pieces of pasta. Oh and there was little to no bruschetta on top. Third thing I noticed was when I took a bite and it was completely mush. The pasta was the same texture as the sauce! GROSS!! Fourth thing was it tasted like SOAP! That is when I spit it out and threw it away. Lucky I had ordered the fries and they were crispy/hot this time. I will NEVER go here again! Even with it being so convenient, I would rather go hungry then waste my time/money here. AGAIN I didn't bother to go back downstairs to return the food because clearly they can't produce properly cooked food and they take FOREVER! read more

The food and service are both really inconsistent. If it were as good all the time as it is sometimes, I would give it 4 or 5 stars. The experience seems to depend a LOT on who the staff is that night, and we've had some pretty lousy nights. We're staying just down the street, which makes CB3 the easiest place to go grab a meal, but we've stopped going there unless it's our only option. This restaurant is attached to the Kahler Inn and Suites and was apparently called "Crossings Bistro and Bar". One night we got a carry out Club Sandwich, which was a good club, although the contents would not stay in the bread, so it was a little messy. A second night we ate in the restaurant. I had the cod sandwich, which was just OK. My wife had the ruben, which strangely is made with shredded corned beef. She requested extra sauerkraut on the side, but got it on the sandwich. Ended up mostly sauerkraut with a little shredded corned beef. On the positive side, the fries are very good. Suggest you get a small basket unless you are very hungry. Well, I really had high hopes for this place. Proximity to the clinic, quality looking menu, playing the twins game.. seems like a great choice, right? But yeah... I'd say don't go here. We showed up to a half empty bar and were told we had to wait to be seated, which took 5 minutes. Our table was dirty with sticky spots all over it. After we finally got someone's attention, she wiped it... but left spots of stickiness for us to avoid. 15 minutes in we managed to get a drink order in. Our drinks arrived 15 minutes later. After being there for 45 minutes our waitress finally came to take our food order, but by then we were over it. The bill took another 10 minutes to arrive. Apparently you can't just pay cash because you can ONLY pay your server. I'm sure the food is acceptable, but we never got to try it and will NOT be back.
