This Dairy Queen out does every DQ for 50 miles ! Good fresh food always served. I moved here eight months ago to Whitewright. And the only Dairy Queen that I know of that was as good as this one was in Farmersville, Texas. They run a close race and who is the best. Came in to get thE famous RED dipped cones that has came to the DQ stores! When I asked, the lady sAid, no we don't have them. So I asked, will you get them? She said probably not. I asked of she could go ask someone. She said no. She pointed to someone cooking and saId that they are a franchise and the owner doesn't like 'to do any of all that.' Ok. Thanks for not asking? I went to the Dairy Queen in Whitewright for the first time this week. I walked through the door and instantly heard a man on the phone at the counter speaking loudly and rudely to what had to have been an employee. He told the employee to stop talking, that HE was talking. He said, "You will be here tomorrow from 10am to 3pm, period." He said a couple more things and I asked the sweet girl at the register if that was her boss. She looked completely intimidated and said yes. I said, "He's kind of an ass, isn't he?" She didn't want to answer, but she finally said, very timidly, "Well, he didn't get mad when I was sick." Really??? He rudely barked out orders to the employees in front of customers. One of them asked a question and he snapped, "I've already told you that." And he walked off. I hope the parents of those young kids that work there know how he is treating them. They must not, or someone would have already had a "talk" with little Napolean. I, for one, will never go back there. And, I'll tell everyone I know what a jerk the manager is. There aren't many options for some quick food in the area, or I'm sure they'd be out of business already. read more

We live around WhiteWright, have never been to this location. However, when we got to the drive through couldn't understand a single word the worker was saying and getting frustrated when we tried to explain what we wanted not understanding us either. The food and order was wrong and had to wait an extra 30 minutes for our food. Do not recommend. read more

We were leaving Sherman and heading home when someone said, "We should go get ice cream!" The DQ on Hwy 56 was closed (Why at 9:10 pm on a Saturday night?), so we decided to head on home to Savoy. Someone suggested the Dairy Queen in Whitewright because "It was good!" We checked the website, and it said they closed at 10 pm, so we drove 24 minutes (out of our way) to go there. We arrived at 9:48 pm. When our headlights hit the front door, I watched as a girl behind the counter looked up at us, turned, wave her hands, and hollered to another worker who promptly came and locked the door. The three workers that were visible then all looked out the windows and laughed. My son got out of the vehicle and went and checked the sign, and it said they closed at 10 pm. We attempted to go through the drive-thru. All we wanted was ice cream. They were either out of (or no longer offered) the first two items we ordered. The products we did get weren't fixed very well but tasted fine. However, when we called the door shenanigan to their attention, the girl's response was, "What else can I get for you?" I told her I wanted the general managers' name and number. She didn't know any of that information, but said her first name was 'Brittany.' So, I asked to speak to the manager on duty, and this rude little man with short-cropped white hair and a strong accent came to the window and told me they always close the dining room at least 15 minutes earlier than the sign says. I said, "Well, you need to change your sign then." He smarted off something to the effect that he was the general manager and the owner and that he could basically do whatever he wanted cause he didn't have a boss. I told him he was rude and he shut the window. I don't know who Brittany was, but maybe she was complicit in this charade as well. If he were indeed the owner and was there at the store at 10 pm on a Saturday night, one would think that the 'owner' (with that kind of hand's-on interest) would care more for his and his store's reputation than that. Food was not what we ordered. Had to wait for replacement waited for 10mins they gave me a hambuger bun with no hamberger. I ordered a meal when i went to get a soda she came to ne and said water only is what i ordered. My other meal didnt have anything on it that we ordered itwas plain again waited about 10mins before we could get someone to listen to us. Food was old and cold. I don't know what happen to this Dairy Queen, but the past few times we went the service was really bad . Tonight we place our order and to go over it 3 time to get it right . We got home witch Is like 8 miles from DQ and the order was completely wrong . Husband ordered his normal 6 PC steak finger basket , well he got I chicken finger and 4 steak . I ordered the #1meal with no pickles no onions . Sat down to eat it and onions and pickles on it and on top of that they didn't give me my Fries . I think they need a new Mge at this store . My friend and I ate at the Dairy Queen in Whitewright Tx. on 5/16/2020. Her car was hit in the parking lot and was dented very severely. I called the owner to see if he had any surveillance cameras so she could hold the person responsible for hitting her car and denting it. The owner wouldn't answer my question he said he had an emergency to call back. I called back and he had an employee to tell me that they did not have cameras in the parking lot! This sounded strange because of my conversation with him and how many business these days that don't have surveillance camera's? Heck the thrift stores even have them. How cheap is this owner? In my opinion very cheap or he is not telling the truth!!!! read more

I would have given them ZERO stars if I could. I was in there today with my fiancé and her mother and we received the worst service I think I have ever had. We ordered a small blizzard, a small hot fudge sundae and a banana split and it took over 25 minutes to get the order and when we finally got it, the order was wrong. When my mother-in-law went to complain to the owner he was very rude to her and said it was our fault. We ordered a banana split and what we got was a blizzard. When they remade it it was horrible. We brought the items up to the counter uneaten and walked out. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had and we will not be going back. I arrived at the store at about 1030 no customers at the store ,ordered a Belt buster with chili took a little bit which is okay I was thinking great there cooking my food fresh. arrived at home then realized that had not put any chili on the bugers it was thrown together as if a child made the meal meat was dry,teaspoon of lettuce,tomatoes looked as if they were a week old,no pickles and about a pound of onions on the burger. Dirty, even for a backwoods place like this. Employees look extremely sloppy with no uniforms, no personal grooming and no hairnets in sight. Be prepared to wait 30+ minutes only to get a bag of lukewarm food, a sneer from one of their lovely employees, and missing items. I bought 2-10" blizzard cakes ($54!!! Reese's and cookie dough) because my husband has been wanting one for years (his birthday had been iced out last year). The pictures on the DQ website shows the bottom half as ice cream, then a small cake layer, then a layer that looks like a blizzard (your choice of topping mixed in the ice cream), and topping it off, lots of topping, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and caramel. What I got was a solid ice cream cake, with a tiny cake in the middle, then a small amount of toppings - about a third of what was in the pictures. Let me first start by saying: I Picked these up Friday night because the party started the next morning and this location was the closest that made the cakes - a half an hour drive each way. So, once we cut, there was no taking it back to get a new one - we had a lot of guests. I called them on the following Monday. The manager and the woman who made the cakes yelled at me, told me that was how they made them (false advertisement and failure to live up to the DQ standards). The lady hung up on me once. They told me they "make no money" off these cakes - HA! Because ice cream costs ($20 a gallon? and cookie dough costs $10 for 1/4 of a tube?) They offered to refund me a small portion of the money via check. I never received anything. Don't give these people your money. They obviously don't deserve the jobs they have. Used the drive through a day ago. Asked for a smoothie and it comes out looking like there's nothing but a pile of crushed ice on the bottom (which ends up being mostly coconut). We get the girl to remake it although the annoyance is apparent. It is wrong yet again seems like milk was just poured into it or something. We go around the side turns out the girl is the MANAGER. She proceeds to say "I've made it twice, what more do you want." in an extremely rude fashion. Another girl remakes the smoothie and uses coconut flavoring instead of actual coconut, which is how it's supposed to be made. This isn't how you win over customers I won't be going back. read more
