This is the Japanese "Dollar General", located in Parks mall complex, next to general entrance that leads to Round 1 & skating rink, right next to Dick's. As soon as you walk in, you'd notice the impressive CLEANLINESS & ORGANIZATION! They have LOTS of organization stuff like hooks, hangers, baskets, small shelves, etc. There are unique Japanese souvenirs such as plushies, keychains, stationaries; Japanese snacks & instant noodles; nail polish, shoe paddings, & so much more! Oh yeah, if you need haircut tools such as scissors, capes, they have a good variety here! It's fun to see & try the unique snacks they have. We got some drawer socks, mini donut kit, toe/sole pads. The staff are friendly & very efficient, not chatty. Prices are comparable to your local Dollar General stores (NOT Dollar Tree), mostly more affordable than the Container Store. read more

Awesome Japanese quality items for a great price! Located at the Parks mall next to Dicks sporting goods. You cant access the store from the mall but they have a outside mall entrance to enter. The price ranges anywhere from $1.50 to $3.00. They literally have everything here you need for everyday living. They also have refrigerated drinks with plenty of assorted teas, juices, and coffees. I enjoy some really good Japanese jasmine tea and there canned black coffee. They sell assorted ramens ranging from miso, shoyu, and have udon noodles as well! They sell curry packs and also Japanese condiments like salad dressings and tonkatsu sauce. They have a huge variety of chips and snacks! They sell all types of chips with unique tasty flavors. For the snacks they have a lot of flavored pocky and caramel corn and a huge selection of candy for those sweet tooth lovers. They also sell bread to enjoy with your café with nice sweet fillings. Enough for the goodies lets talk about everything else they sell. This place literally has everything you need from kitchen appliances, cleaning gear, and office use. The bowls and plates and Tupperware is the star of the show! You cant beat the deals they have for them as well as the bowls and plates they have to offer. The kitchen appliances are the best and very useful ( see pictures). Overall awesome place to do some shopping for everyday living but beware when you come in this store I'm pretty sure you will leave with more than you expected! Japanese version of the dollar store. But cleaner, brightly lit and cooler. This Daiso location is located next to Dick's Sporting Goods, and the selection is on the small side compared to other Daiso locations. But at least I don't have to make a trip to Carrollton anymore. I come to Daiso for Japanese snacks that catch my eye and grid paper notebooks so I can practice writing. Hell, Daiso even sells calligraphy brushes. Their pens and gel pens are good if you're willing to spend $1.50 for a pen. Parking is plentiful, and there's even a bubble tea shop called TeaScoop nearby if you're feeling in the mood for more Asian goodies. read more

Finally a Daiso in Arlington! I used to have to go to the Carrollton location whenever I needed my fix of affordable and varied products. They seriously have everything here, from makeup to toys to kitchen ware. And the best part is, everything is so cheap and has a decent quality for what it is! They also have a fair variety of Japanese snacks and drinks. I went to the grand opening event a couple weeks ago, and it was a cute little event. First 100 customers received a little Daiso goodie bag and everyone in line got a raffle ticket for a drawing they would later draw for awesome prizes. They had plenty of people working the register and attending the event, so props on them for ensuring a quick and efficient experience. Fun tip: Sometimes they will have promotions for Pocky where if you buy a certain amount you can receive prizes! This store caught my eye walking into AMC theatre next door, I still thought it was a Christian book store, I never even look down that way. But wasting a few minutes until the movie started I did a quick walk through of the store and seen a few things I would get but didn't see anything exciting. WARNING, WARNING, WARNING this place is dangerous. I went in today and walked out with $30 less in my pocket. On a serious note I really liked this store. It is the Japanese version of Dollar Tree, but a whole lot better. You can buy everything from office supplies to cooking items, to health items, to food. The great thing is that just about everything is $1.50. Some items are a little more but no more than $4. As long as you are a culture-phob, you will have fun just looking around and seeing all that they have. I know I will be back. read more

My first visit to Daiso, I stocked up on just a few snacks,art supplies, and stationery with my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised to find the beverage Calpico which I had previously only been able to find at my Asian market and online. I know this may seem small and petty, but I was really expecting to hear "Irashiamase" upon entering the store. One of the cashiers mumbled a greeting, and when I turned his way to ask what he said -he said welcome(in English). The girl behind him however, upon seeing my downcast face happily responded with the correct Japanese greeting for shopkeepers. I'm a weeaboo I know. Anyhow the store was spacious and well-lit and had a decent variety of items. As I am studying Japanese and practicing my kanji characters, I was delighted to find that they carry grid notebooks.(helpful for practicing your Japanese or Chinese characters) Also I found a gel pen at a size at .28!!!(I had previously only been able to find .5 gel pens, most gel pens are at.7) I would give 5 stars, but the ramen selection/snack connection could have had more variety. I seriously love Daisos. This one may not be as great as my all-time favorite location in Canada, but it's a great addition to the Texas Daiso lineup. Their selection of beauty supplies and accessories was pretty well-stocked on the day I visited. This location has silicon sheet mask covers, which I haven't been able to find at any of the other TX stores, and they had both the 15mL and 30mL sizes of the vacuum pump essence bottles (to put this in perspective, I can never find these at the Plano location, and it's been hit or miss to find one size or the other at Irving and Carrollton). The store was pretty organized, but it seemed a bit smaller than the other locations. read more

This is a cute little store with Asian products. I've found items from craft supplies to dishes to storage containers to food/snacks. If you eat ramen noodles, this store has the best ones and they come in smaller packs. read more

i am so excited they finally have a Daiso near me! i've been going to the carrollton location in the past. it's basically a japanese convenient store- pretty equivalent to a CVS/Walgreens here. they've got asian food/snacks and cheap everyday materials! i usually go for school supplies, socks, blankets, little things like that. but my favorite are the beauty products! gotta love asian beauty products! since it's so new, i can't really say much about the service. the workers are very upbeat for now- i hope they keep up the good spirit! read more

I met Daiso just two months ago on a trip to Carrollton. What a treat to know that it is here now! I visited on grand opening weekend, and again found such delightful treats. My favorite purchase here are microwavable, vented bowls with handles. They are perfect for my morning oatmeal! At $1.50 each, you can't beat that! As with Dollar Trees there are differences in Daisos. I have gone to the Irving and Carrolton Daisos and found their selection of products a bit better then the one in Arlington. The one in Arlington is closer but I did think the Irving and Carrolton stores were better. I am hoping the management of the Arlington reads this and looks at what the other Daisos in the areas have so they can be as great as those. read more

The store very neat and clean. Merchandise was priced within reason. The only problem that was my concern is a company that patronize customers do not have a restroom. I thought that was a law in the United States when opening a business there had to be a restroom to accommodate your customers. read more

Definitely a good variety of stuff, but the assistant manager needs some retraining though. Not sure what she did or how she ran my card(used to maintain my good credit), but she said it declined. Then kept checking my name/identity and started to talk to me as if I didn't have the funds to pay for me and my friend's items(shopping spree gift) and how I should call the card company to check with them, even though I just switched to paying directly with my bank card instead. Apparently the register's purchase limit is $159 and she said she couldn't scan my other items. I've been to other Daisos and spent over $300 in one trip. Her explanations and suggestions were more than condescending and made everything more complicated than it should've been. Treated me like I was spending too much money that I didn't have. It was rude, strange, and most likely the last trip to any Daiso I ever make. I'll just shop at a different dollar store since my spending too much wasn't appreciated. read more
