This is a good home goods! I've been coming to this location for years and it honestly never…read moredisappoints. It's super big and much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. I'm happy that I can always find pretty good items at this location compared to some of my more local Home Goods. This shopping center is busy and the parking not as large as it could be but I normally try to come here early and at opening which usually gets me a parking spot pretty close to the front. I came two days after Christmas and was honestly impressed with their inventory. After Christmas most stores are hurting and down to their bare bones items but not this home goods! Yes the Christmas decor was lacking but that was A okay with me. I was so thrilled to see otherwise the entire store was stocked and had so much to look at and choose from. I ended up finding Valentine's Day cheery decor that I've literally been hunting since last year! I was so so happy to have stumbled across such a great find and a bunch of other great little kitchen wear items. Staff were friendly and while the lines were long at the register they were smart and called for backup and had almost every register open. I always appreciate that and that they try to keep the line moving. Today was a come up! Happy to have this home goods in the desert and will continue to come back here.

I am writing because I would like corporate to take notice of a very disappointing experience at…read morethis HomeGoods location. I tried to return or exchange a defective ice tray that cost $4.99. I had the receipt, and I simply wanted to exchange it. However, the manager, Steven/Stephen, told me he could not process the return because the item was purchased at the Palm Desert store. I find it unreasonable that HomeGoods would refuse an exchange for a defective item purchased at another HomeGoods location, especially when the customer has a receipt. I have been a long-term TJX/HomeGoods customer, and I have never had an experience like this before. I do not know whether this is a company policy or a store-level decision, but either way, it reflects poorly on the brand. A customer should not be turned away over a defective $4.99 item with proof of purchase. I strongly suggest that TJX review this policy and ensure store managers are trained to handle basic customer service issues in a reasonable and customer-focused way. (Time: 3:40pm 6/9/26)

I used to shop at one in Oakland back in 2008 and the items they have here now are so much more diverse. I got my groceries and as my husband (who is using a wheelchair) were checking out, a woman in her 60s maybe 70 was behind me with a cart. She was about 5'6 1/2, dressed in an older woman style polyester flowered blue short sleeved blouse and light teal snug capri pants or longer pants. I thought it was odd that as the cashier took care of me, the woman never placed her items on the belt. There had been a man of the same age range walking near her but I never heard him speak. The cashier suddenly cried out that the woman sneaked out with the cart of items. I had felt someone behind me but did not think it was more than someone reaching for some nuts or snacks. I looked quickly but the woman was long gone. Outside, I saw the man but he was alone and I did not see the woman in the parking lot. I could probably identify her if they ever wanted help to find her. Nobody in a store should ever chase a perpetrator I know. That is dangerous. Corporate policy allows another location to accept returns if they have the same products in stock. The manager didn't even look at the products and said NO flat out. Little does he know that we have a second home near his store and we'll never come back to this store.
