I needed to re-invent my sleepwear collection so I headed to TJ Maxx for the best choices. First, I found the best fussiest slippers by Nautica with nice big souls so that I can wear them outside as well as inside. They're lined with sour and have a little faux fur cuff for comfort. Next, I headed over to the night count section Beth found mostly short sleeve tops with pants. I dug on and came up with a new set of lightweight pants with an over shirt designed by the gap and a beautiful, pale sage green color, which looked very restful. I thumbed through the offerings and also found a comfy cozy sweater jacket made of a soft fleece for those times when the heater just isn't enough. I headed for checkout, and on the way, found sunscreen, perfect for enjoying the rest of my stay in Palm Springs. My go to store, this location is my favorite in tge chain. I find what I am looking for every time I shop here, from their large stock of purses and bags, to their towels and bedding selections. They have short sleeve tops in abundance in all sizes, plus the largest choices in dresses. Staff is friendly, prices are reasonable on high end brand items, and dressing rooms are big enough to turn around in. There is also ample parking. read more

I love TJMaxx - TJMaxx is my go-to store when looking for gifts, or just to splurge on myself. You can't be sad while shopping, however, TJMaxx recently rolled out a change in their lighting. The new lighting is too bright, too harsh, it's hard on the eyes, and I found myself getting upset at how uncomfortable I was while trying to shop. I tried wearing my sunglasses, but that didn't help. I barely made it from the purses to the bra aisle before I was forced to leave the store with a horrible headache. Yes, I know, first world problems, however this overly bright lighting is too much for me. Clearly for some of their workers as well - the gal at checkout called one of the in-store workers to let her know that I was complaining about the way clothes were hung incorrectly! She could have waited until I left. I am going to miss shopping at TJMaxx, my pocketbook will be happy however. read more

This place has the charm of a mom and pop shop under the TJ Maxx name. In the world of cold internet shopping it is a warm and refreshing place to shop. The customer service and inventory is excellent and the shop is always clean and wonderful. Unlike othe TJ Maxx the lines move quickly. To top it off, I accidentally left my wallet here and when I called the manager, Jomiele (spelled wrong), had kindly found it outside the store and returned it to me. She was kind and warm when I called and I just love returning to this store for good old fashioned customer service, well organized goods, and speedy lines. read more

I normally don't shop T.J. Maxx when on vacation, but there was something I needed to get. A clearance event was happening when I visited. Great markdowns, both in selection and price! I purchased several food, bath and clothing items. Many of which were impulse purchases. Markdowns included more than just seasonal items. At the time of my visit, there were so many clearance items that I didn't really need to look at regular prices items. The store was clean and well organized. This was in all departments. Aisles were wide enough to navigate easily around other shoppers. The only employee I encountered was upfront at checkout. She did not push too hard about signing up for their store credit card. She made positive comments about several items I chose. read more

Getting there: Located in the same shopping center as the World Market off of Palm Canyon; there are a ton of parking spots right outside the front. Experience: I have this theory that the TJ Maxx's and Homegoods that no one goes to have the best hidden gems. I went looking for a salt lamp for my room and I ended up finding my curly hair products for like $7 less than normal retail. The only thing is you should check to make sure the products aren't expired or that they are at least still in good use. This is definitely a good one to go to. read more

This is my favorite store to buy clothes. Michelle was my fitting room attendant and she was very nice and so professional. There was a manager on duty named Trudy she is racist and rude ! I RECIEVED the worst service and she was rude and told me to shut up , yelled at me ! Watch me the whole time I was trying to shop at the jewelry counter ! She was a Karen rude when I told her she was rude she basically told me to kiss her ass ! I said your making me feel uncomfortable, she said she can be anywhere she wants in the store ! Absolutely terrible , refused to apologize! Trust I will be reporting her ! I feel bad for black men ! Possibly the worst store in business. I've been in this store many times and it's rare that I leave a store empty handed. Well this is the exception. It has nothing of value. The merchandise they carry is nothing short of garage sale crap. And in the rare occasion that you find something you might consider buying, its damaged, or they only have one of a set of two or more. It's a disgrace. I am amazed how they are still in business. Their prices are not great at all. They should be paying me to take it out of their store. I went in to look for a set of king sheets today, they had 10 sets. Queen had 39+. Out of the 10 choices they were all no name brands, and what they had was for $20.00. I'm not buying a set of king sheets $20.00, even I know that you can't get king bedsheets for that price. You know they are going to be crap. I've learned this from experience. Then onto artificial plants. Nothing ! Furniture, looking for bar stools. 6 ugly stools all the same , but wait, I see something like , upon closer inspection they only have one and it's damaged. At that point I officially put the X on this store. If you are looking for stale Christmas candy this is you're place. They will never see me in there again. Worthless waste of time. read more

Tj Maxx has always been my go shop for all types of last minute gifts that are of good quality and really good deals. I have to say I was impressed with the cleanliness of the store. While I was shopping there I asked help to a sales associate on the floor and his name tag said Ken F (pretty sure it was an F) I made sure to look at name tags, lets face it yelpers, this is the main reason I YELP, people who over do their jobs and are gracious deserve the compliments!! He was so helpful. The reason I brought up the cleanliness of the store is because I approached him while he was cleaning a display area and I told him I was trying to find a particular item and he was so helpful. He smiled (the entire time which is rare these days) and he took his time showing me each area I could find everything! I even had a question related to clothing and he knew the area to point me in and walked me over and asked me if I needed any additional help. That is fantastic customer service and you guys at TJ maxx got it in your employee Ken F, Of course i only went in for 1 item and walked out with 7!! All the good deals!! Check this location out fellow yelpers! It is much cleaner than the palm desert 111 location and has much more items in stock! This is one of my favorite TJ Maxx's. They are always clean and organized, and have a wide selection of things for me to go through. I don't think I ever leave this location without buying something. This time, we left with some shoes for me, a dress for me, some toys for kiddo, and a mug for husband. They were doing a lot of clearance. When it's 114 degrees outside and we need a break from the pool, this is where we'll end up. Looking forward to heading back and seeing what other treasures we can find! read more

This is probably one of my absolute favorite TJ Maxx! Tucked back along East Palm Canyon Road in Palm Springs, there isn't a lot of traffic that goes by here being on the outskirts of Palm Springs which leads to a more relaxed shopping environment. The store is always clean and well organized. No. Really it is. Well it is Palm Springs and being a little out of the Downtown area helps from preventing this place being a madhouse. The management and staff really work hard at keeping things in order and their efforts shown through. What really makes this store phenomenal is the selection of merchandise available. There is a HUGE jewelry counter (they have to, it's Palm Springs) and someone is always there and no one has to be called off the floor and then have to make a call for the keys to unlock the cases. Every section has a deep selection, Woman's, Petite, Junior's, Luggage (it is Palm Springs), Housewares, Boy and Girls, Infants, Men's, Young Men's and Active. The Men's and Women's Active section here puts other stores to shame. I almost always find a great deal or Under Armour here that I have to pick up. Being a runner, I'm always looking for a good deal on Under Armour or Hind gear for workouts and this store always seems to have the right type of clothing (despite there not being a lot of people that seem to workout nearby). There is a TJ 7 minutes from my home within a 2 mile radius of Planet Fitness, Fitness 19, LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness AND A Crunch Fitness- that their Active sections there is incredibly horrible! I'm talking about the intelligent selections made by Kardashian boyfriends vastly outnumbers the selection at the Moreno Valley TJ Maxx. The buyers and managers are exceptional when it comes to seasonal merchandise. The merchandise comes in slightly ahead of everyone else which gives you a jump start on your shopping. Rarely is there anything awkwardly seasonally late. Jackets in June in Palm Springs? Never! You will find a vast and quality selection of seasonal clothing and goods perfectly timed for your shopping experience in the desert. Out of town and need a swimsuit in the summer? Found out what desert casual is and you're overdressed? Winter temperatures are in the 70°s while the rest of the country is freezing but you brought long sleeves, jeans and jackets? Yeah- this TJ Maxx has you covered for those last minute desert wardrobe updates. And you do have to chuckle to see swimsuits for ladies and men during the winter months because you CAN go to the hotel pool and go for a swim in PS. Grammy and grandpa are going to have fun shopping for their little ones here as the Infants and Children's sections are quite large for a store this size. This has been my go to place for baby showers and birthdays since this store first opened. Most people don't think for shopping for babies in Palm Springs but aside from the high end boutiques, this is a very good place to start. Despite being a straight up TJ Maxx which doesn't share space with a Home Goods Store, they have a pretty good selection of furniture and rugs. I'm always amazed at how fast furniture sells here- so a tip- if you want it, buy it now because it won't last long in this store. I thoroughly enjoy shopping here, and no wonder why this is an exceptional store as the manager, Scott, helps open new store locations throughout the US. I cannot say enough good things about this store, it's selection of products, how organized it is and the wonderful people that work here. read more

No doubt this is my favorite recount department store. I find the most unique jewelry. It's my go to for all my gifts too.

I went in to this location to find a couple long sleeve shirts for a trip to NY since it's cold and rainy there right now. I found nothing and it took about 2 minutes to go through the "men's department". It's a lot of really loud short sleeve button up shirts and short shorts. The selection was very disappointing and the "men's" section was so small. I won't be coming back here to shop for clothes. read more

This TJ Maxx is so good I thought to myself, "I could fit a cot in the handicapped dressing room and stay here." By the end of the visit I was just running down the clean, well-kept aisles and throwing treasures into my cart. The fitting room attendants are nice. I came here with my mom to purchase some last minute Christmas gift for our relatives in LA. While my mom looked through aisles and aisles of clothes, I helped by browsing through the trinkets and miscellaneous items. I couldn't really find anything that would fit the description of "cool" for my uncles, but I did find some nice cheap gifts for my girlfriend that I thought she might enjoy. I bought a frame that said "I love you more" and a DIY Mineral Necklace (WHICH ENDED UP NOT WORKING). It's a good place for gifts, if you're lucky. I love this store. My daughter and I shop here often (ok, way too much). The store is always neat and clean, the staff is always available and always helpful. Took away 1 star because we went to exchange something, gave the girl behind the counter a receipt and she throws it back in front of me and says "why don't you give me the right receipt". Really? They were $5.99 for a set of 4. They had 2 sets but I needed more. So I went a couple doors down to World Market, and found the exact sets (same mfg, same packaging) for $12.99.. more than DOUBLE the price of TJ Maxx. So in this case, the price was very competitive! After finding a bed spread that I really liked and taking to the counter with several other purchases I was told the sale price that was on the pkg was mismarked. I did insist that the price was marked and that is not my fault and if they weren't going to sell it to me at the price stated I did not want to make the purchase. The Mgr.
